The Jaguar F-Type (X152) is a series of two-door, two-seater grand tourers manufactured by British car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover under their Jaguar Cars marque since 2013. The car's JLR D6a platform is based on a shortened version of the XK's platform. It is the so-called "spiritual successor" to the famous E-Type.

F-Type concept (2000)

A NEW FUEL PUMP DRIVER MODULE WAS INSTALLED AND THE DEALER DECLARED THE PROBLEM FIXED. THE MILEAGE ON THE CAR WAS 696 MILES ENTERING THE DEALER AND 724 MILES LEAVING. ON AUGUST 3, 2017 MY VEHICLE STALLED AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RESTART AFTER REPEATED TRIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE SAME DEALER WHERE IT STAYED FOR ANOTHER 15 DAYS. THE DEALER STATED THE PROBLEM WAS DUE TO MELTED PINS IN THE FUEL PUMP DRIVER MODULE. THE DEFECTIVE PINS WERE DECLARED REPAIRED AND THE FUEL PUMP DRIVER MODULE RENEWED. MILEAGE ON THE CAR WAS 997 MILES ENTERING THE DEALER AND 1149 MILES LEAVING. IN THE LAST 7 WEEKS, I HAVE ONLY DRIVEN THE CAR ABOUT 100 MILES BECAUSE OF MY LACK OF CONFIDENCE IN IT. A CLAIM HAS BEEN FILED WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.

- Remedy: Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the front seat belt assemblies, replacing them as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin February 20, 2017. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is J081.

- Consequence: If the lower control arm bolt connecting bolt fails, the rear control arm assembly may separate from the vehicle, resulting in a loss of control and increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the bolt that connects the rear lower control arm to the rear knuckle joint, free of charge. I've only had the car for a month, so my review will be limited to initial impressions. Firstly, the car is absolutely stunning. I've owned some very nice sports cars in the past, but I've never had one that people stop and take pictures of when it's parked. The sound of the car is also incredible, especially in dynamic mode with the exhaust in loud. While I've always thought Porsche flat-6s sounded the best, the Jag is darn close. In terms of handling, I'm still getting used to the car and haven't really played around with it with the stability control off. However, it has minimal body roll and very linear (if touchy in dynamic mode) throttle response. It throttle steers well in corners and the power is more than adequate. The book says 0-60 in a smidge under 5 seconds, and that feels about right. While a new base Boxster will about match it for less, who wants to listen to a Subaru soundtrack? The turn-in isn't as quick as my old Boxster, but it isn't bad. It's as good or better than a Z4M Coupe. The braking is nothing short of incredible. I have the performance braking package, and while it's a bit touchy, stops are extremely short and consistent. Jaguar obviously uses a very soft 'track' pad, as even a short drive will coat the wheels with brake dust. This means shorter replacement intervals, but it's worth it for the incredible stopping power. The ride is actually not too bad. My car has the 20' Carbon Fiber wheels (they are really aluminum with some attached CF accent pieces), but it still rides tolerably. I commute 110 miles to a client site twice a month, and the trip is easy and comfortable. Bear in mind that I've owned sports cars my entire life, so my opinion of 'comfortable' and yours might differ. The only downside is the visibility. The door sills are high, so it's difficult to see curbs when turning and parking (I leave plenty of room), and resting your arm on the door sill leaves it at an odd angle. The nose is long, and I would highly recommend the package with the parking assist.I absolutely love the front sensors for pulling forward, they are a lifesaver! The overall visibility is actually better than a new corvette in my opinion, so I don't really need the backup camera as much. The storage space up front is just what I need, with a glove compartment, arm rest compartment, and open cubby. However, the rear compartment is rather small and can only fit a few soft suitcases. The technology in this car is amazing, with an awesome sound system, loads of customization for car systems, very good blue tooth integration, and even adjustable side bolsters in the seats! The only downside is that the navigation system is not very intuitive, so make sure to read the manual before programming in a destination. In terms of reliability, I haven't had any problems to date, except for an annoying buzz/rattle in the right rear which might just be the cover for the storage area. Overall, I highly recommend the F-Type. It's a stunning car that sounds incredible and is an absolute blast to drive. You won't be disappointed!

This car has a very small trunk, so it may not be the best choice if you need to transport a lot of items. However, it is an absolute joy to drive, with acceleration that rivals that of a supercar. I purchased it in September from a dealer who was closed for most of the month due to hurricanes, so I got an amazing deal. I do have to keep a close eye on it, as my wife loves driving it just as much as I do! The styling is the best Jaguar has produced since the E-Type, and so far, I have had no issues with reliability. While the 9-speaker audio system is not particularly impressive and can rattle a bit, it's not a major concern when you can listen to the natural music of the big, powerful supercharged V-8 with the muffler bypass turned on.

This car is truly amazing to drive. Every time you get behind the wheel, you'll feel like a pilot in an F15 Fighter Jet. The AWD system allows the car to perform exceptionally well on wet roads, and the Dynamic Mode is like taking off in a jet with the Active Sport Exhaust on. The car is also equipped with a Vision package, which includes automatic rain sensors and auto headlights. The little car symbol on the corner of your mirrors lights up when another car is in the nearby lane, preventing any missed blind spots by the driver. It's a smart car that's both unique and impressive. You'll definitely turn heads and get many compliments on this car.

I've owned this car for over a year now. I bought it pre-owned with only 290 miles on it, which saved me a whopping $40k compared to the MSRP. Since then, I've driven over 6,000 miles, mostly on canyon roads and track days in Arizona. Despite being on the heavier side for its category (3750lbs), the SVR performs exceptionally well for a GT car, and it's actually more like a sports car. The AWD provides fantastic grip and instant power delivery, making it capable of sub 3.5 sec 0-60 and consistently achieving 11.4 sec quarter mile times. The interior is gorgeous, with diamond stitching, and I find it very comfortable for my 5'8

I've had my car for 10 weeks now, but unfortunately it has been in service for half of that time. It's been a bit of a frustrating experience. The issues started in the first week when the engine stalled out at a red light and the trip odometer showed more mileage than the overall vehicle mileage. Additionally, the vapor lock on the gas tank made fueling a bit of an effort. Then, the SBS system was faulty, causing the air-bag light to continuously illuminate and the passenger seat to become inoperable. Now, the exhaust system is not working properly. Although the car is fun to drive, looks nice and drives well, owning it has been a bit of an inconvenience. I'm hoping that the issues will be resolved soon. If I could return the car, I would, but I'm hopeful that the issues will be resolved and I can continue to enjoy driving it.

My Jaguar has been experiencing multiple issues such as engine stalling, transmission malfunction, wiring problems, fueling issues, and key recognition errors. Despite having it serviced for a total of 7 weeks within the 5 months of ownership, the problems persist. However, I am confident that Jaguar will take responsibility for these issues and provide a satisfactory solution, such as replacing my 2017 F-Type S convertible with a new one.

I recently purchased a car and unfortunately experienced some issues with it. The blind spot monitor, reverse dip mirror, and electric passenger window were not functioning properly. After waiting for two weeks to have these issues resolved, I picked up the car only to find that the same issues persisted. Additionally, I found that the infotainment system was not up to par and caused my phone to overheat when connected to the car. I also had trouble with the voice command function from JustDrive, which I was told was due to T-Mobile's network. Most recently, the engine light came on and I had to spend five hours resolving the issue. While I am disappointed with the quality of the car, I believe that Jaguar can improve the experience of their customers.
