He's been driving it ever since and today we bid this reliable family member farewell. He just purchased his first car at 25 years old and has chosen to donate her to Wheels for Wishes. I've owned my Rodeo for almost three years now and it's been pretty good to me. I've never had any major problems with it, and it's been great for highway driving. The acceleration is fantastic - it's a very quick car, even at highway speeds. However, I have noticed that the steering doesn't feel as solid as I'd like at high speeds. On the plus side, it handles turns very well. Unfortunately, I've had to replace my 6CD changer twice. Additionally, I find that the front seats are too short and become uncomfortable on long trips. As someone who is 6ft 2, I also find that there isn't enough leg room and the steering wheel is too far away. The interior is quite simple and basic, but I actually liked that about it at first.

I've owned my 1999 Rodeo LS 4WD Auto since July 1999 and it's been a great vehicle. With 112,800 miles on the clock, it's still going strong. Although it's been through several service bulletins (all covered by the manufacturer), there have been no major mechanical problems. I'm still using the original engine, transmission, rotors, A/C, heating, power windows, fog lights, and suspension. The shocks will need replacing soon, and the fuel gauge/fuel sending unit needs replacing (which will cost around $300). I've always had the servicing done at the dealership, and they've done a fantastic job maintaining the vehicle. It's important to remember that the Rodeo is not a car-based SUV, but rather it's built from a truck and rides like one. This means that it's very durable and built to last.

I have been using this vehicle for my sales calls for the past 3 and a half years, and it has been performing flawlessly. I have been diligent in changing the oil every 3000 miles, adding gas and tires when needed, and only recently had to replace the brakes at 132,000 miles. I just got it back from the mechanic after some routine maintenance, and he only had to change the serpentine belt, as the original was still in great shape. It's like having a doctor tell you that you're in great health during your checkup!

I bought my LS 4X4 brand new back in 1999 and it's still going strong with just over 90,000 miles on the clock. Despite some minor dings from off-road adventures, it still looks great and runs like a dream. I've always been meticulous about keeping it well-maintained with regular waxing and replacing normal wear items such as brakes, tires, shocks, and the battery. The dealer has an excellent reputation and there are plenty of these SUVs driving around town with happy drivers behind the wheel. It gets around 15mpg in the city and 21-22mpg on the highway, making it a great deal for anyone in need of an SUV, especially considering its low resale price compared to other models like the 4Runner.

I purchased my Isuzu SUV with great excitement at 63,000 miles. Although I encountered some issues with the vehicle, I still have a fondness for it. Some of the problems I faced included replacing parts such as catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, tires, brakes and rotors, cv boots, and power steering pump. Additionally, the windows, AC, gas gauge, and keyless entry required attention. The vehicle also burns excessive oil and is not great on gas. Despite these challenges, I have owned my truck for a few years and it has now reached 126,000 miles.

I bought this car new in '99. At 40,000 miles, I had to replace the fuel gauge for $500. Then, at 25,000 miles, the manifold gasket went out, causing the car to idle at 4,000 rpm. It was very dangerous to try to stop when driving at 55 mph on the highway. I almost killed myself. I had to fight with Isuzu to replace it, and threatened to take them to court. They fixed it the next day, which shows that they know there is a problem. Other than that, the car has been fine. I love the ride, the looks, and the truck comes in very useful to haul stuff. However, based on my experience, I would not recommend this truck, nor will I buy Isuzu again. Life is a lesson, and the lesson here is to stick to the top 3 manufacturers: Honda, Toyota, and Nissan.

I noticed that there has been one re-occurring issue with the SUV, a clunk in the rear end that needs to be lubricated by the dealer every 2 oil changes. However, besides that, this SUV has been problem-free since we purchased it. While the leather seats may not be the most comfortable for long drives, they are still okay for short distances.

Although I had to replace the clutch at 22000 miles, I have extensive experience driving stick shift cars for over 15 years without any issues. Despite the rough ride and the poor quality of the original stereo, this truck has excellent fuel efficiency, averaging about 20 MPG. While it has had a few recalls, I am confident in its overall reliability. Although the devaluation of this car has been significant, I am still pleased with its outstanding condition.
