THE ENTIRE BOTTOM OF THE GAS TANK IS NOW VISIBLE AND THE SHIELD IS THE PART THAT HOLDS IT IN PLACE. I WENT TO A MECHANIC IMMEDIATELY AND HAD THE CAR LOOKED AT. WHEN THE MECHANIC PUT THE CAR ON THE LIFT HE SAW EXTENSIVE RUST AND SOME ROT UNDER THE VEHICLE ON THE FRAME. HE STATED THAT I WOULD NEED TO REPLACE THE SHIELD. AS OF RIGHT NOW IT IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE DUE TO THE GAS TANKS SHIELD BEING ROTTED OUT. THE MECHANIC TRIED TO ORDER ME A REPLACEMENT BUT HIS SUPPLIER SAID THE PARTS ARE NO LONGER BEING MADE. THE ONLY WAY I COULD GET ONE WOULD BE FROM A JUNK YARD AND MOST OF THE PARTS IN THERE WOULD MOST LIKELY BE ROTTED AS WELL. AND FEEL WRONGED BY ISUZU.   • Consequence: EXCESSIVE CORROSION MAY RESULT IN THE LEFT OR RIGHT REAR SUSPENSION LOWER LINK BRACKET BECOMING DETACHED FROM THE FRAME, WHICH CAN AFFECT VEHICLE HANDLING AND POTENTIALLY CAUSE A CRASH.
  • Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE REAR SUSPENSION LOWER LINK BRACKET AREA. FOR VEHICLES IN WHICH LITTLE OR NO CORROSION IS FOUND, THE AREA WILL BE TREATED WITH AN ANTI-CORROSIVE COMPOUND. FOR VEHICLES IN WHICH CORROSION HAS DAMAGED THE REAR SUSPENSION LOWER LINK BRACKET AND AFFECTED ITS CONNECTION TO THE VEHICLE FRAME, A REINFORCEMENT BRACKET WILL BE INSTALLED. IN THE RARE EVENT THE CORROSION IS SO SEVERE THAT THE REINFORCEMENT BRACKET REMEDY WOULD NOT BE APPROPRIATE, A REPURCHASE OFFER WILL BE EXTENDED TO THE VEHICLE'S OWNER. ALL INSPECTIONS AND REMEDIES WILL BE PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE FOR VEHICLES THAT ARE 10 YEARS OLD OR LESS.     I've owned my RODEO for two years now and I have to say, I'm a bit surprised at how quickly it has depreciated. However, I understand that I got what I paid for. While the interior of the truck may not be the most luxurious, it still gets the job done. The plastic material used for the dash and other parts may be a bit thin, but I haven't had any major problems with it. The truck has good power for its size, although the air conditioning can take a while to kick in. The ride can be a bit bumpy on rough roads, but overall it's a decent ride. If you're not too concerned about having a fancy interior or great gas mileage, then this truck could be a good fit for you.

    Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share my experience with my vehicle. While it looks great, I've noticed that it dings quite easily and the exhaust rattles like it's coming loose. Unfortunately, this happened when it was only a year old. Additionally, the windows fuse is blown, so the windows are stuck in the up position, and the rear windshield wiper doesn't work anymore. It's a bit frustrating, but I'm looking forward to selling it and upgrading to a Mercedes M Class. I have to admit, I got this car at a great price with 0% financing, so it's not all bad news.     We've had some trouble with our vehicle. After someone set off the alarm, it wouldn't stay cranked and now it won't start at all. We've taken it to 5 different shops/mechanics, including a dealership, but unfortunately, no one has been able to find anything wrong with it. We've done some research online and it seems like others have had the same problem, which may have to do with the alarm system. However, we haven't been able to find a solution yet. We're feeling a bit frustrated and worried about the cost, especially since we didn't purchase a warranty. Despite this, we're hopeful that we'll be able to find a solution soon.     I bought my 2001 Rodeo LS 4WD used on 10/02/2002 with 15,000 miles on it. Unfortunately, the 4WD did not work right off due to a bad actuator that had to be replaced. About a year later, the Transmission Position Sensor went out and I had trouble putting it in gear. However, for the following 3 years, it ran fine without any problems. About 6 months ago, the TPS went out again, but I was able to fix it myself by cleaning out the dirt. Unfortunately, about 5 months ago at 78,000 miles, the transmission had to be replaced at a cost of $2000.00. Despite this, I can't complain too much. The power is good, the integrity of the chassis is good, and it rides a little bumpy. Although I wouldn't purchase it again, overall it has been a decent car.

    I chose my Isuzu over other midsize SUVs because it drives like a car, not a truck. It's really fun to drive, although the gas gauge seems to deplete pretty fast. Overall, I'm really happy with my car. The brakes do squeak a lot when it's wet, but I haven't had any mechanical problems to speak of. It does sputter a bit on startup when it's cold, but it always starts up and gets me where I need to go.

    You've had your Rodeo for four years now and it's been running smoothly. Apart from regular oil changes and other types of preventive maintenance, you haven't had any issues with your Isuzu. Even when you had a problem with the fuel pump, it was quickly taken care of thanks to the extended warranty you had on the vehicle. Overall, that's a pretty impressive track record in my opinion.
