Negative Isuzu Rodeo 1995 car reviews

  1. Carmel Rippin 2024-09-10

First 60,000 miles were problem-free, but now I'm experiencing issues with the water pump, starter, and electrical system. Additionally, the doors don't seem to want to close properly. It's frustrating to deal with, especially considering the low resale value of only 6k. Perhaps I should have gone with a Honda car instead of an SUV, but oh well.

  2. Quinn Cronin 2024-03-01

I purchased a 1995 model in January of '96. Unfortunately, it has had some issues with oil leaks and electrical problems, such as the inside lights and power door locks. Additionally, the side rear-view mirror has come off and replacement parts have been quite expensive. While repairs have been necessary, I have found that this dealership is twice as expensive as others. Despite these challenges, I have put 134000 miles on the car, although I had hoped to get at least 200000 miles out of it. Unfortunately, the resale value is not great. I did experience a dangerous situation when the gas pedal cable broke twice and I was unable to stop. Overall, it has been a bit of a bumpy ride, but I am grateful for the time I have had with this car.

  3. Luis Gleason 2024-02-02

Hi there! I just wanted to share my experience with my 1995 Rodeo. I've been the single owner of this vehicle for 10 years and I must say, it's been a great ride! Although there were some minor issues with the electric door locks, nothing major has ever gone wrong with it. The only thing I'm not too fond of is the sunroof, as it allows quite a bit of wind noise into the interior. But overall, I think it's an excellent vehicle that still looks great and is going strong after all these years. In fact, I'm planning on using it to pull my boat soon!

Positive Isuzu Rodeo 1995 car reviews

  1. Jaiden Lind 2024-11-22

I hope you're doing well! I wanted to share my experience with my 1995.5 model with 130000 miles. Despite some minor issues like sticky rear power locks, one dead alternator and starter relay switch, this vehicle has been extremely reliable. I'm amazed that I still have the original front brake pads and rotors (front and rear) at 130,000 miles; they're worn out and need to be replaced, but it's impressive how durable they are. The Rodeo rides rough like a truck and tends to eat tires, and I've had some trouble keeping it in alignment. However, I don't let these minor issues bother me and just keep on driving. I've towed a variety of trailers with it and it handles up to about 3000 lbs well, although it struggles a bit on really big hills. Thank you for taking the time to read my experience!

  2. Quinton Gerhold 2024-10-19

I purchased this Rodeo in 1995 and have driven it all over the country, from Utah to Virginia, Wisconsin to Brownsville, TX. It has been incredibly reliable and has performed excellently. Even with 230K miles on it, this bad boy is still trucking. I plan on driving it until it literally blows up, and who knows how long that will be! I've only had to do regular maintenance and replace the AC compressor, alternator, and starter.

  3. Kieran Wiza 2024-10-06

Had to replace the starter after 7 years, but overall it's been great. There are some minor issues with the 'auto' door locks, which can break if pulled manually too much. It would have been nice to have an actual button to operate the locks. Despite this, it ran like a champ for 4.5 years in Buffalo weather and still runs strong at 77k miles.

  4. Wilfredo Gibson 2024-08-23

This truck is amazing! I can't praise it enough. I bought it brand new and have only had to replace the basics like the battery, starter, alternator, brakes, tires, and a serpentine belt. It's incredible that the original muffler is still intact! I've been diligent about changing the oil every 3000 miles and this truck has never let me down. In fact, I loved it so much that I even bought another Rodeo (2000, a buddy's lease) that is currently sitting in my garage waiting for this one to retire. I'm confident that it will be paid off before that happens.

  5. Trevor Hickle 2024-08-03

After 9 years and 135,000 miles, your car is still running like new! It's amazing how reliable Isuzu cars are. I understand that repairs can be expensive, but $500 is not too bad considering how long you've had the car. With gas prices being so high, it's tough to find a car that is both affordable and fuel-efficient. Isuzu should definitely consider making more cars like yours!
