The Kia Carnival (Korean: 기아 카니발) is a minivan manufactured by Kia since 1998. It was marketed globally under various nameplates, prominently as the Kia Sedona.
The first generation Carnival was introduced in January 1998, and was marketed in a single, short wheelbase version. Second generation models were marketed (2006–2014) in short and long wheelbase variants. A rebadged variant of the second generation was offered in North America as the Hyundai Entourage (2007–2009). Beginning in 2010, the second generation model received updated equipment, including Kia's corporate Tiger Nose grille, as introduced by its then new design chief, Peter Schreyer. Kia introduced its third generation minivan in 2014, solely in a long wheelbase format. The fourth generation was introduced in 2020, when Kia also began using the Carnival nameplate worldwide.
First generation (KV-II; 1998)
The first generation model was manufactured and marketed differently for specific regions, including under a joint venture in the Chinese market with Dongfeng Yueda Kia, as well as the Naza Ria in Malaysia.
In Indonesia and the Philippines, both Carnival/Sedona names were used. Initially introduced as the Carnival in 2001, from 2003 onwards, it was renamed as the Sedona.

- Summary: The valve over eventually leaks oil that drips down on to the alternator. This cause the electrical system to fail, the battery and brake lights come on. Then slowly all lights come on as battery shuts down. This is a known issue with this engine. This happened to me yesterday while driving at night leaving the car unable to drive. When the battery completely shuts down you cannot even move the vehicle out of Park, as electric is needed to disengage the the shifter from park, so you cannot even push the vehicle off of the road. Hyundai has a recall for the exact same engine in the Veracruz. I just purchased this car however records don't show this as a active recall so either it was serviced and not properly fixed therefore still making it dangerous for my family and others or was never completed and being sold as a unsafe vehicle to my sister whom I brought this vehicle from. When she bought it nothing about this recall 115 was listed so she was not aware when selling this van to us.

JD BY RIDER SENT MY VEHICLE TO TOWN FAIR TIRE IN MANCHESTER NH & T.F.T. ALSO RECOMMENDED A BRAND NEW FACTORY SPARE TIRE ASSEMBLY. I ENDED UP HAVING TO BUY 4 BRAND NEW REPLACEMENT GENERAL GRABBER TIRES P75-65R-16 TIRES. ALSO JD BY RIDER HAD TO BUY ANOTHER SPARE DONUT TIRE FOR PUTTING IT IN THE WAY BACK OF MY VEHICLE. THE ORIGINAL SPARE TIRE IS STILL FROZEN UNDERNEATH THE PASSENGER REAR OF MY VEHICLE. - Components: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK/TRACTION CONTROL/ELECTRONIC LIMITED SLIP:CONTROL UNIT/MODULE
- Summary: Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2007-2010 Elantra and 2009-2011 Elantra Touring vehicles. On February 21, 2020 Hyundai expanded the recall to include 46,425 model year 2007-2008 Entourage and 2007 Santa Fe vehicles. Moisture may enter the Anti-lock Brake (ABS) Module and result in an electrical short.
- Consequence: An electrical short within the ABS Module may cause an engine compartment fire, even when the car is turned off, increasing the risk of an injury.
- Remedy: Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will install a relay in the vehicle's main junction box to prevent the risk of an ABS short-circuit while the car is turned off, free of charge. The recall began April 2, 2020. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 188.

- Summary: Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain model year 2007-2008 Entourage vehicles manufactured February 16, 2006, to June 30, 2008. In the affected vehicles, the secondary hood latch may corrode and bind and remain in the unlatched position when the hood is closed.
- Consequence: If the primary latch is inadvertently released and the secondary latch is not engaged, the hood could unexpectedly open while driving, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
- Remedy: Hyundai will notify all of the owners. For vehicles originally sold, or ever registered, in Alaska, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and the District of Columbia, dealers will replace the secondary latch. For vehicles in any other state, dealers will inspect and either lubricate or replace the secondary latch, as necessary, free of charge. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-800-633-5151. The recall began January 2017. Hyundai's number for this recall is 154.

(Hyundai) is recalling certain model year 2007-2008 Hyundai Entourage vehicles manufactured from February 16, 2006, through June 30, 2008 and sold in, or currently registered in, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, Ohio, Rhode Island, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. In the affected vehicles, the front lower control arms may fracture due to corrosion resulting from exposure to road salt and water.
- Consequence: A fractured control arm can result in the loss of control of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the degree of corrosion of the front lower control arms, and will either rustproof or replace them, free of charge. - Summary: Hyundai Motor Company (Hyundai) is recalling certain model year 2006-2009 Accent, model year 2007-2011 Azera, Sonata and Sante Fe,2006-2011 Tucson, 2009-2011 Elantra Touring, 2007-2010 Elantra, 2008-2011 Veracruz, 2009-2011 Genesis, 2010-2011 Genesis Coupe, 2007-2008 Entourage, and 2006-2008 Tiburon vehicles. Originally, in April 2013, Hyundai recalled 1,059,824 model year 2007-2009 Accent and Tucson, model year 2007-2010 Elantra, model year 2007-2011 Santa Fe, model year 2008-2009 Veracruz, model year 2010-2011 Genesis Coupe, and model year 2011 Sonata vehicles. In September 2013, Hyundai informed the agency that it was adding more vehicles to this campaign, representing an additional 652,512 units. The total number of vehicles being recalled is now 1,712,336. In the affected vehicles, the stop lamp switch may malfunction. A malfunctioning stop lamp switch may cause the brake lights to not illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed or may cause an inability to deactivate the cruise control by depressing the brake pedal. Additionally, a malfunctioning stop lamp switch may also result in intermittent operation of the push-button start feature, affect the operation of the brake transmission shift interlock feature, preventing the shifter from being moved out of the PARK position and cause the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) malfunction light to illuminate.
- Consequence: Failure to illuminate the stop lamps during braking or inability to disengage the cruise control could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, when the ignition is in the 'ON' position, the transmission shifter may be able to be moved out of Park without first applying the brake. This may lead to unintentional movement of the car which may increase the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will replace the stop lamp switch, free of charge. The safety recall began on April 22, 2013. Owners may contact Hyundai at 1-800-633-5151. Hyundai's recall campaign number is 110.

This van is definitely worth a test drive. What's great about it is that most of the standard features are options on other vans or not available at all. For instance, it comes with standard traction control, standard stability control, and power sliding side doors. We were only looking for the base SE model, but with the owner loyalty rebate, we were able to get an SE with the PE package, and it has been nothing short of awesome. It comes with a rear DVD, 6-disc CD player with 13 speakers and surround sound, and heated front seats. We previously returned a 01 town & country on a lease, and the sticker price between them was $1890.00. The town & country only had air conditioning, power windows, antilock brakes, and a cassette player. We didn't even consider Honda or Toyota because they can't match the warranty.

I have had two other types of mini vans and this van drives and performs by far above the rest. It has tremendous room and the ability to change the seating capabilities with one hand. This makes it a great family vehicle. The safety features are a comfort, especially with poor weather approaching and our family having a new baby. Thank you Hyundai, this is a fantastic asset.

I am so excited to share that after a year of research, I finally purchased this van in late June! What really solidified my decision was the crash-test ratings from iihs.org. It's great to finally find an automaker that makes a van I can have real confidence in. After looking at the Kia Sedona, we ultimately decided on the Entourage because of its sporty look - I much preferred the brushed metal to the cheesy looking faux wood. We went for the LIMITED edition with the sunroof package, which even came with floormats. This van is an absolute dream to drive, with top-notch fit and finish. Not to mention, I feel pretty smart for saving a bundle! The only downside is the gas mileage, which is a little disappointing at 15 MPG compared to 18, but it's a small price to pay for my daughter's safety.

Hello everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Entourage minivan. While I was initially drawn to the Hyundai brand, unfortunately my experience with this vehicle has not been great. I've had to deal with a number of issues, including a broken DVD player, a broken armrest, and multiple problems with the brakes and ignition. Additionally, I've had ongoing battery and wiring issues that have been difficult to diagnose and fix. The powered side doors are a nice feature, but they can be unreliable in cold weather. Overall, I've been disappointed with this vehicle and would caution others against purchasing it. Thank you for taking the time to read my experience.

I've taken my van to two different dealerships for a total of five visits, driving over 500 miles out of the 3000 miles I've owned it. Unfortunately, it has needed a radiator replacement and has had numerous leaks in the heating system. It's been towed twice and driven back three times for these leaks. I reached out to Hyundai consumer assistance and while they offered to help the dealership fix the vehicle, they did not offer a replacement. Despite these issues, I still believe this is a great van, and I'm hopeful that the dealership will be able to resolve the remaining problems.

I paid 10,000 to 15,000 dollars for my vehicle, which provided me with good value for my money. In contrast, I spent 31,000 dollars on a Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey, which I consider a waste. Unfortunately, the after-sales service was not satisfactory. Although the warranty was advertised as excellent, it did not meet my expectations. The auto sliding doors frequently jammed, the instrumentation panel was unreliable, and the cruise control did not work correctly. Additionally, the steering wheel had a sharp edge. Overall, I believe that my previous vehicle provided better value for my money.

I purchased a van 2 years ago, but unfortunately, it has required 11 visits to the shop. It needed 3 new batteries, 2 new oxygen sensors, and 2 tension pulleys, among other things. Even the Michelins, with only 25,000 miles on them, were too bald to pass inspection. The brakes were also starting to squeal. We decided to trade it in, but unfortunately, even with rebates, we lost 5 grand. The van was losing $1000 in Kelly Blue Book value every month. Based on my experience, I would not recommend purchasing this van as it may lead to significant debt and regret.
