The Kia Carnival (Korean: 기아 카니발) is a minivan manufactured by Kia since 1998. It was marketed globally under various nameplates, prominently as the Kia Sedona.
The first generation Carnival was introduced in January 1998, and was marketed in a single, short wheelbase version. Second generation models were marketed (2006–2014) in short and long wheelbase variants. A rebadged variant of the second generation was offered in North America as the Hyundai Entourage (2007–2009). Beginning in 2010, the second generation model received updated equipment, including Kia's corporate Tiger Nose grille, as introduced by its then new design chief, Peter Schreyer. Kia introduced its third generation minivan in 2014, solely in a long wheelbase format. The fourth generation was introduced in 2020, when Kia also began using the Carnival nameplate worldwide.
First generation (KV-II; 1998)
The first generation model was manufactured and marketed differently for specific regions, including under a joint venture in the Chinese market with Dongfeng Yueda Kia, as well as the Naza Ria in Malaysia.
In Indonesia and the Philippines, both Carnival/Sedona names were used. Initially introduced as the Carnival in 2001, from 2003 onwards, it was renamed as the Sedona.

- Summary: The contact owns a 2008 Hyundai Entourage. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving 40 MPH, the steering wheel turned sideways as all four wheels remained straight. The ESC off warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact's daughter was able to slowly drive the vehicle home despite the failure. The contact then test drove the vehicle and experienced the failure. The contact entered his driveway and noticed that the front driver’s side tire had detached from the vehicle. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 13V556000 (Suspension) which he linked to the failure. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure and the contact was provided a case number. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 135,000.

- Summary: WHILE TURNING LEFT AT AN INTERSECTION, I HEARD A LOUD BANG AND LOST STEERING CONTROL. I PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND CALLED FOR A TOW TO MY MECHANIC. THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT WHEEL WAS DISPLACED, THE 2 FRONT WHEELS WERE NOT PARALLEL AND THE WHEEL HAD HIT THE FRONT BUMPER COVER CAUSING IT TO COME LOOSE. THE TOW DRIVER NOTED THAT THE LOWER CONTROL ARM SNAPPED. FRONT PASSENGER WHEEL WAS HITTING THE FRONT BUMPER COVER AS IT WAS PULLED ONTO THE FLAT BED. I CALLED HYUNDAI CORP AND LOCAL DEALER ON FOLLOWING DAY (MONDAY). I TRIED TO GET DIRECTION REGARDING INSPECTION OF VEHICLE. SINCE AN ADDITIONAL TOW COULD CAUSE MORE DAMAGE; I ASKED IF HYUNDAI COULD INSPECT AT THE LOCAL SHOP. I COULD NOT GET ANY DIRECTION ON HOW TO GET THE CAR INSPECTED. ON THE 3RD CALL I WAS ADVISED THAT SAFETY RECALLS ARE ONLY COVERED FOR 1 YEAR AFTER THE RECALL SERVICE. WHEN I ASKED IF I NEEDED TO CONTACT NHTSA, JACK INDICATED THAT SINCE I MENTIONED NHTSA HE IS REQUIRED TO PASS THE CASE TO A SR HYUNDAI REPRESENTATIVE AND THAT I WOULD RECEIVE A RESPONSE VERY SOON. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY RETURN CALL OR OTHER COMMUNICATION FROM ANYONE AT HYUNDAI CORP OR THE LOCAL DEALER. THE ATTACHED PICS SHOW THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE LOWER CONTROL ARM CORROSION AND FAILURE. THE RECALL SERVICE PERFORMED IN 2014 WAS OBVIOUSLY NOT ADEQUATE. THE SUDDEN LOSS OF CONTROL WAS A HORRIFYING FEELING. I AM HOPEFUL THAT NHTSA WILL TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION SO THAT OTHERS ARE NOT CONTINUED TO BE PUT IN PERIL. - Summary: Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2007-2010 Elantra and 2009-2011 Elantra Touring vehicles. On February 21, 2020 Hyundai expanded the recall to include 46,425 model year 2007-2008 Entourage and 2007 Santa Fe vehicles. Moisture may enter the Anti-lock Brake (ABS) Module and result in an electrical short.
- Consequence: An electrical short within the ABS Module may cause an engine compartment fire, even when the car is turned off, increasing the risk of an injury.
- Remedy: Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will install a relay in the vehicle's main junction box to prevent the risk of an ABS short-circuit while the car is turned off, free of charge. The recall began April 2, 2020. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 188.

- Summary: Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain model year 2007-2008 Entourage vehicles manufactured February 16, 2006, to June 30, 2008. In the affected vehicles, the secondary hood latch may corrode and bind and remain in the unlatched position when the hood is closed.
- Consequence: If the primary latch is inadvertently released and the secondary latch is not engaged, the hood could unexpectedly open while driving, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
- Remedy: Hyundai will notify all of the owners. For vehicles originally sold, or ever registered, in Alaska, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and the District of Columbia, dealers will replace the secondary latch. For vehicles in any other state, dealers will inspect and either lubricate or replace the secondary latch, as necessary, free of charge. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-800-633-5151. In the affected vehicles, the front lower control arms may fracture due to corrosion resulting from exposure to road salt and water.
- Consequence: A fractured control arm can result in the loss of control of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the degree of corrosion of the front lower control arms, and will either rustproof or replace them, free of charge. - Summary: Hyundai Motor Company (Hyundai) is recalling certain model year 2006-2009 Accent, model year 2007-2011 Azera, Sonata and Sante Fe,2006-2011 Tucson, 2009-2011 Elantra Touring, 2007-2010 Elantra, 2008-2011 Veracruz, 2009-2011 Genesis, 2010-2011 Genesis Coupe, 2007-2008 Entourage, and 2006-2008 Tiburon vehicles. Originally, in April 2013, Hyundai recalled 1,059,824 model year 2007-2009 Accent and Tucson, model year 2007-2010 Elantra, model year 2007-2011 Santa Fe, model year 2008-2009 Veracruz, model year 2010-2011 Genesis Coupe, and model year 2011 Sonata vehicles. In September 2013, Hyundai informed the agency that it was adding more vehicles to this campaign, representing an additional 652,512 units. The total number of vehicles being recalled is now 1,712,336. In the affected vehicles, the stop lamp switch may malfunction. A malfunctioning stop lamp switch may cause the brake lights to not illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed or may cause an inability to deactivate the cruise control by depressing the brake pedal. Additionally, a malfunctioning stop lamp switch may also result in intermittent operation of the push-button start feature, affect the operation of the brake transmission shift interlock feature, preventing the shifter from being moved out of the PARK position and cause the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) malfunction light to illuminate.
- Consequence: Failure to illuminate the stop lamps during braking or inability to disengage the cruise control could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, when the ignition is in the 'ON' position, the transmission shifter may be able to be moved out of Park without first applying the brake. This may lead to unintentional movement of the car which may increase the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will replace the stop lamp switch, free of charge. The safety recall began on April 22, 2013. Owners may contact Hyundai at 1-800-633-5151. Hyundai's recall campaign number is 110.

Very comfortable and safe for the kids! The car is spacious and provides a quiet ride. It comes with the best warranty and a nice selection of colors. The handling in wet conditions is excellent and the visibility is great. The best feature of this car is that the side windows go up and down, providing greater airflow and comfort for all passengers.

The fuel economy of this car has been consistently poor, with a maximum MPG of 12 since I purchased it in August, regardless of whether it is being driven in the city or on the highway.

The minivan is very well-built and performs just as well as a Japanese-built Honda Odyssey. In fact, it's even roomier and bigger, with fantastic options available at a competitive price. The smooth and quiet ride only adds to its value.

I have taken my van on two long distance trips and I am very satisfied with its comfort and handling. It's fun to drive and the trip computer and rear sensors are great features. Although, I do wish I had upgraded to receive the power gate as the back does not always close properly when loaded. Overall, I highly recommend this van!

I am so excited to share that after a year of research, I finally purchased this van in late June! What really solidified my decision was the crash-test ratings from iihs.org. It's great to finally find an automaker that makes a van I can have real confidence in. After looking at the Kia Sedona, we ultimately decided on the Entourage because of its sporty look - I much preferred the brushed metal to the cheesy looking faux wood. We went for the LIMITED edition with the sunroof package, which even came with floormats. This van is an absolute dream to drive, with top-notch fit and finish. Not to mention, I feel pretty smart for saving a bundle! The only downside is the gas mileage, which is a little disappointing at 15 MPG compared to 18, but it's a small price to pay for my daughter's safety.

I paid 10,000 to 15,000 dollars for my vehicle, which provided me with good value for my money compared to the Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey. However, I regret purchasing this particular vehicle as it has not met my expectations. The after-sales service has been disappointing, despite their advertised warranty. The auto sliding doors are frequently jammed, the instrumentation panel is unreliable, and the cruise control does not work properly. Additionally, the steering wheel has a sharp edge. These issues have led me to believe that this vehicle is not worth the 31,000 dollars we spent on it.

The van looks good and drives nice, but it's important to note that the fuel economy is not as advertised. Additionally, there have been some issues with the brakes, idler, latches on the side doors, and wiring in the back door. It's also worth mentioning that there have been some dashboard lights that have come on, including one related to the airbags. If you live near the dealership or plan to keep the van within its warranty, it may be a good option for you.

I purchased this vehicle back in March of 2009. Unfortunately, within the first two weeks, I noticed a discoloration in the headlight lens. Despite my hopes that it would be covered under warranty, I was informed that it would not be replaced. Now, two months later, I am experiencing issues with my driver's seat, which is rocking and popping. Once again, I was informed that this would not be covered under warranty. I am disappointed with my experience and it has left me with a negative impression of Hyundai. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I purchased a van 2 years ago, but unfortunately, it has required 11 visits to the shop. It needed 3 new batteries, 2 new oxygen sensors, and 2 tension pulleys, among other things. Even the Michelins, with only 25,000 miles on them, were too bald to pass inspection. The brakes were also starting to squeal. We decided to trade it in, but unfortunately, even with rebates, we lost 5 grand. The van was losing $1000 in Kelly Blue Book value every month. Based on my experience, I would not recommend purchasing this van as it may lead to significant debt and regret.
