Due to a manufacturing issue, the NADI inflators may absorb moisture, causing the inflators to rupture or the air bag cushion to underinflate.

Due to a manufacturing issue, the replacement NADI inflator may absorb moisture, causing the inflator to rupture or the air bag cushion to underinflate.

- Summary: ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, DURING THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS, OIL WAS APPLIED TO THE BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY TO PREVENT RUST. THIS OIL CAN LEAK INTO THE BRAKE STOP SWITCH AND CONTAMINATE THE ELECTRICAL CONTACTS.
- Consequence: EVENTUALLY, THE BRAKE LIGHTS WILL NOT ILLUMINATE WHEN THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED, WHICH INCREASES THE RISK OF A CRASH.
- Remedy: DEALERS WILL CLEAN ANY EXCESS OIL FROM THE PEDAL ASSEMBLY AND REPLACE THE STOP SWITCH. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN MAY 16, 2002. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT ACURA AT 1-800-382-2238.

We bought our car pre-owned with an extended warranty of up to 3 years or 85,000 miles when it had 49,000 miles on the clock. We had to change one of the seatbelts because the SRS light wouldn't turn off, but it was covered under the warranty. Since then, we've had no other malfunctions and the car drives nicely (it's been over a year now). It's a lot of comfort for the price. While the fuel economy could be improved, I disagree with the poor performance ratings. The engine is quite capable of responding to your needs and accelerating rapidly.

The Acura RL is a fantastic used car. You'll often find them in top shape as their owners take great care of them, and the car itself is built to last. I never had any problems with it. Additionally, most Acura dealers are very professional. I had to sell it due to having too many vehicles, but it was a tough decision to let it go.

I hope you're doing well! I wanted to share my experience with my car. Three years ago, I purchased it with 110K miles on it. I'm happy to report that I've only recently started experiencing some minor issues at the 200K mark, such as a small leak at the transmission and a fuel relay that just went out. Additionally, there's a rear sway bar that makes a bang sound, but it's not a safety issue. Overall, I'm pleased to say that I've gotten 90,000 trouble-free miles out of it for the price of $8500. I got this car from my soon-to-be ex-wife. I traded my 740iL for the RL and I must say, I like the RL better overall due to the number of features it has. The navigation system is great and it's fully loaded. The V6 power is actually surprisingly good. I love this car and I'm excited to take it on more drives!
