2007 Gmc Sierra 1500 problems
The Chevrolet Silverado is a range of trucks manufactured by General Motors under the Chevrolet brand. Introduced for the 1999 model year, the Silverado is the successor to the long-running Chevrolet C/K model line. Taking its name from the top trim level from the Chevrolet C/K series, the Silverado is offered as a series of full-size pickup trucks, chassis cab trucks, and medium-duty trucks. The fourth generation of the model line was introduced for the 2019 model year.
The Chevrolet Silverado shares mechanical commonality with the identically related GMC Sierra; GMC ended the use of the C/K nomenclature a model generation prior to Chevrolet. In Mexico, high-trim level versions of the Silverado use the Chevrolet Cheyenne name (not to be confused with the 2003 concept). Competing against the Ford F-Series, Ram Pickup, Toyota Tundra, and Nissan Titan, the Silverado is among the best-selling vehicles in the United States, having sold over 12 million trucks since its introduction in 1998 as a 1999 model year.
History
The Silverado nameplate made its debut for the 1975 model year, becoming the top trim level on all Chevrolet C/K trucks, slotted above Custom Deluxe, Scottsdale, and Cheyenne. For the 1968 model year (seven years before the Silverado), GMC C/K trucks used variations of the Sierra name (Sierra, Sierra Classic, Sierra Grande, and High Sierra). Even after the C/K series officially ended, GM still uses the CK and the CC in their current model codes, to denote a two-wheel drive (CC), and four-wheel drive (CK).
For the 1988 GMT400 model architecture, Chevrolet retained the C/K model nomenclature, with GMC branding its full-size line as Sierras. While sharing the same body and chassis, the model chronology of the Silverado and Sierra are different, with five generations of the Sierra, while four of the Silverado.
In 2018, at the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, Indiana, Chevrolet unveiled the first medium-duty Silverado, expanding the model line to a 4500HD, 5500HD, and 6500HD chassis cab. Largely the successor to the 2003–2009 GMT560 chassis, the medium-duty trucks are exclusive to Chevrolet, with no plans for an equivalent GMC version. Instead, Navistar International (now partnering with GM) would sell the medium-duty trucks as a rebadged counterpart, called the CV. This is in fact a very similar nod to how the Avalanche did not have a GMC Yukon–based equivalent, but instead, Cadillac would take its place as the former's rebadged counterpart, the Escalade EXT.

As a fellow Ford truck owner and mechanic, I must say that the GMC Sierra Z71 SLT 4-door truck is truly impressive. Not only does it have impeccable styling and lines, but it also provides an incredibly smooth ride, even for a 4x4. The SLT package is loaded with all the bells and whistles, including remote start, DVD with BOSE speakers, full power everything, wood grain dash, ABS, heated washer fluid, rain sense wipers, power pedals, 2 person seat memory, all leather interior, and much more. It's clear that this truck offers features that other trucks simply don't.

Love your new Sierra! It's great to hear that you're enjoying the top-notch base level interior, smooth transmission, and responsive engine. While the gas mileage may not be the best, it's good to know that the interior is spacious and looks amazing with your Rancho lift and 35

I've been driving this truck for 4 months now and I must say, I'm quite pleased with it! The overall layout of the interior looks great, giving it a pure truck feel. However, the seat material seems to be made from the same material as the headliner in my previous last gen Chevy, which collects lint and makes your clothes stick to it. Also, the floor under the backseat in the ex-cab isn't flat like the crew, making it hard to fit two 10

Hey there! As a first-time truck buyer, I was initially looking for a mid-size truck, thinking it would strike a good balance between utility and drivability. However, when I got to the dealership and compared sticker prices, I found that I could get more for my money in the larger Sierra than the mid-size Canyon. The test drive was the clincher. The regular cab, 8ft bed WT rides as smooth as our mini-van and sits higher for better visibility. I was really impressed with the build-quality; no rattles, tight seams, and great attention to detail. All knobs and buttons are within easy reach, and the cabin space is really generous. And when it comes to utility, there isn't anything that won't fit inside the 8ft bed. Overall, I think this is an outstanding truck by GMC. Let me know if you have any questions!

I've had this truck for 6 months now and I absolutely love it! My family has owned many GM trucks, but this one is by far the best they've ever produced. The power is excellent and the ride and drive are much better than what you would expect from a truck. Although I wish I had gone with the Vortec Max package and the SLE2 trim, I am extremely happy with it and have no real regrets. I coonhunt and tow a jeep for rock crawling, and this truck is definitely more than capable in both situations. It does seem to be a little spin-happy in certain situations, but it's great in 4x4. The seats are a bit hard to clean (lint roller). I looked hard at other brands, but they just fell short. Overall, I highly recommend this truck!

The gas consumption is not great, only 14 mph when driving under 55. The tire monitoring system may not be necessary. The split seats are uncomfortable, and some may prefer the bench seat. With the new design, there is limited space behind the seat for storage. The jack can be difficult to replace behind the passenger seat. Some may find the jack inadequate and prefer to replace it. The controls for the AC may be complex for some. Auto headlights may not be necessary for some drivers. The truck and controls may take some time to get used to. We understand your frustration, but we hope you can find some enjoyment in your new truck.

I have owned the truck for a few months and is overall a great truck, much more solid than my 2004 Chevy 1500. But the mileage I had on the old truck was 16-18 mpg and now I get 11 mpg. I have called the dealer and they keep telling me to give it some break in time. This is my fifth new vehicle and I have never had this problem before, I would really have trouble recommending this truck at this point.

I really like the look of the 6.0 litre Vortex Max truck and it is definitely a hard worker. However, I have noticed that after 2 years, I am using approximately 1 1/2 quarts of oil between changes. By the time it reaches 3 to 4 years old, I can't make it to a full oil change before getting a low oil light (about 3 quarts low). There are no leaks, it's just burning oil. Additionally, the truck is quite large and has limited leg room for me. The throttle response can also be delayed, which can be scary when trying to cross a busy street. Lastly, I have noticed that some of the parts are cheaply made, such as the stabilizer link made from plastic. I think this could be improved.

Overall, it's a nice truck. The 5.3 with flex fuel is helpful on the highway, although I was hoping to get 20-25 mpg. Unfortunately, there is a flaw with vibration. The truck seems to have been designed to vibrate and bounce when driving on concrete at 40-60 mph. GMC has confirmed this, but they don't seem concerned about this major safety issue. On the other hand, the ride on asphalt is wonderful and smooth, without a sound to be heard. The engine responds when needed and the interior is quite satisfactory.

Hello viewers, before purchasing one of GM's cheaper trucks, please take note of my experience. I have owned four GM trucks in the past ten years, and while I was initially pleased with my 07 Sierra, after just two years or 16,000 miles, I have noticed some issues. The interior is falling apart, there is deep rust behind the door weather molding, and the truck rattles and squeaks while driving. Despite being garage kept and well maintained, these issues have arisen. As someone who has always loved and stood behind GM vehicles for twelve years, I am disappointed with the quality of this truck. Additionally, I have had difficulty with warranty work. Thank you for considering my experience before making your purchase.
