No point of impact visible to show that it had been hit by an object. It was chilly, 43 F, and I had the heat/defrost on. Unfortunately, when arriving to work, I opened my sliding door look at the damage from the inside and doing so caused glass to fall out, so I have no picture of just the glass the way it was when it broke. A quick search shows this has happened to other vehicles including transit connects like mine, and caused by the heated glass.

Additionally, the vehicle may roll after the driver selects the 'Park' position. Either scenario increases the risk of a crash or injury.

When the back seat cushion is rotated from the stowed position to the upright position, the seat cushion may not remain locked into place when under load, such as in a crash or a sudden stop.
- Consequence: In the event of a crash, if the seat back moves, the seat occupant has an increased risk of injury.

This van is small but surprisingly roomy. I purchased it in January and have already put about 10k miles on it. As someone who is 6'2', I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it is, especially since I spend a lot of time in it Monday through Friday. While this model doesn't come with a glass on the sliding door, I'm looking forward to upgrading that feature soon so I can get out of parking spots more easily. I also plan to add a rear recordable camera for backing up and watching the back, since I already have one in the front. I didn't think I would like the rear lift gate, but it's actually been a great addition. Before this van, I had several Astro vans, but unfortunately they stopped making them. I had to downsize a bit on tools and equipment, but it turned out to be no problem since I realized I was carrying around some items and tools for years that I never actually used. Everything about this van works great, although the transmission can sometimes seem a little confused. I believe it's made in France, so we'll see how long it lasts. My Astros went over 150k on the transmissions, so I have high hopes for this one. The gas mileage is almost twice as good as the Astro, so I'm saving money left and right. Overall, it's a great little truck that fits everywhere. I now have 105k miles on it as of 8-14-19 and it just keeps on going. I haven't had to make any repairs yet, and I usually sell at 150k, so let's see how far it takes me!

Just over two years ago, my wife suffered a spinal cord injury due to meningitis. As a result, she now relies on a wheelchair to get around. Unfortunately, her limited mobility made it impossible for her to transfer to the passenger seat of our 4-Runner or Tundra. Thankfully, our daughter had a Dodge Charger with low seats, which made it easy for my wife to transfer to the passenger's seat. However, this created a new problem as my wife's wheelchair does not fold up like a hospital wheelchair and must be taken apart to fit in the trunk of the Charger. This was not a long-term solution for us. So, my wife and I started looking for a vehicle that could meet all our needs. We needed a vehicle that she could transfer into, that could carry additional passengers, and that had sufficient cargo space behind the rear seats to allow us to carry her wheelchair without taking it apart. After much searching, we found the short wheel-based Transit Connect Wagon, which met all our criteria. We have been using it for six months now and it has been a game-changer for us. We equipped it with the 1.6 L Eco Boost engine and according to the vehicle's onboard computer, our combined city/highway mileage is 25.6 mpg. Recently, we drove the Wagon from our home in Chandler, AZ to Pine, AZ, a town in the mountains, and the performance of the vehicle surprised me. We had no problem climbing the hills as we went from an elevation of 1,100 feet to nearly 6,000 feet. We are extremely pleased with our purchase and now have 7800 miles on the vehicle. The highway mileage is 29 and city mileage is 25, giving us an average of 26.5. The vehicle's small size also makes it easy for my wife's friends to lift her wheelchair into the van, allowing them to take her out for a girl's evening out without any hesitation.We are thrilled with our Transit Connect Wagon! Just wanted to give you an update: we've now owned this vehicle for three years and it's still performing great. We couldn't be happier. In fact, it's been four years now and we've only had to replace the battery - other than routine oil changes and keeping the tires properly inflated, it's been a breeze. We're still absolutely delighted with the van!

I am thrilled with my purchase! This van is both economical and spacious, with a well-designed and comfortable interior. The back is incredibly roomy and can hold a lot of cargo. The gas mileage is fantastic, especially for a cargo van. It looks great, and after my graphics were applied, it has generated a lot of interest and business. It's hands down my best advertisement, and I receive many compliments on how good it looks. Even after 26,000 miles, I still love it and have encountered no problems.

Congratulations on your purchase of a Transit Connect Titanium Long Wheelbase! It's great to hear that you had a smooth drive from South Carolina to AZ. This vehicle is truly a hidden gem, with its car-like handling, impressive 29 MPG on the highway, and all the bells and whistles of the Titanium model, including Navigation, heated seats, leather, power seat, power folding mirrors, and more. It's a shame that Ford doesn't advertise it more widely, as it's a fantastic option for anyone looking for a minivan without the hefty price tag. The seats may take a bit of getting used to, but once you figure out how to fold them flat, you'll have plenty of space for hauling furniture or towing small trailers with ease. The Titanium model is definitely the way to go if you want all the features of other vans, and you won't even miss the power slider doors or video entertainment for the rear passengers. Overall, the Transit Connect Titanium is an incredible vehicle that feels more like a sedan than a minivan. It's a shame that it's primarily marketed towards commercial buyers, but with a bit of shopping around, you can get a loaded 7 passenger vehicle for a great price of 25-27k. The cabin is comfortable and fairly roomy for a smaller vehicle, but unfortunately there aren't many storage compartments. The handling is nimble and very compliant, making it a joy to drive around town. However, it doesn't have a lot of power when merging onto the highway. It's worth noting that Ford annoyingly chose to leave out a way to switch off the interior cargo LED's. Overall, it's a friendly and enjoyable car to drive.

I was initially very excited about Ford bringing this newer style of Transit to the US as it perfectly fit my needs for a work vehicle that could also double as a passenger vehicle when needed. However, over time, I experienced a number of issues with the vehicle. Unfortunately, Ford's attitude about the warranty and what it covered was phenomenally disappointing. As with many reviews I've read, the problems began when the plastic drivers seat valance completely broke off under 30,000 miles and I was told at 2 separate dealerships that Ford's warranty does not cover their poorly designed parts. This was frustrating as the part is in your way every time you enter or exit the vehicle and is bound to break. Additionally, my rubber rain guards on the sliding doors fell off at 31,000 miles, since Ford used double sided tape from a craft store to mount them. To make matters worse, my rear passenger seat got stuck down 1000 miles later due to the plastic parts used for the seat release mechanism breaking in cold weather. The replacement parts were quoted as $1500 plus labor at the dealership. I am disappointed with my experience and will not consider buying a Ford vehicle again.

I was initially thrilled with my 2016 Transit Connect Titanium wagon due to its ride height, unique body design, and versatility. However, after two years of use, I have unfortunately grown to dislike it. The ride quality is loud, rough, and unrefined, which is disappointing. Additionally, the car tends to lunge forward clumsily when accelerating, braking, or going around corners. The horsepower of the 2.5 engine is not impressive, and it only makes a lot of noise without much acceleration. The build quality is also subpar, with several small issues such as a constant smell of staleness or mold due to a water leak that no Ford dealership can seem to locate. My advice would be to avoid purchasing this vehicle unless it is your only option. You have been warned. *UPDATE* I have put another 13,000 miles on this vehicle, and unfortunately, my opinion has not changed. Recently, the plastic piece mounted to the side of the driver's seat where the seat control is located broke off and is just hanging there. I am not a large person, so it is not like I am putting excessive weight on it to cause it to snap off like it did.

Be prepared for some challenges with this van. The warning lights and chimes can be quite loud and the horn can be startling. The windshield pillar reinforcements can cause blind spots, which can be especially dangerous for pedestrians at crosswalks. The wipers should not be run in dry conditions, but the stalk controls can be confusing. The van can lurch during braking, acceleration, and right angle turns around town. In hot weather, the dashboard can become very hot. When backing up in foggy or rainy weather, it may be necessary to turn off the headlights to see the backup camera screen. The steering wheel can interfere with seeing some of the instruments, including the speedometer. The exterior lights can stay on indefinitely when doors are opened and closed, which can drain the battery. On the plus side, the van has plenty of pep and performed well climbing 5500 feet up to Flagstaff, AZ at 70 mph. It also handled flooded streets in Tucson during the rainy summer of 2017. Overall, it's a good choice for those who prioritize performance over interior design.

I completely understand the feeling of having to leave the house before dawn and the challenges that come with it. It can be quite nerve-wracking to navigate the roads with limited visibility, especially when there are joggers around. I always try to be extra cautious and drive slowly, but it can still be difficult to spot them without proper lighting. It's unfortunate that there is no way to adjust the headlights, but I try to make the best of the situation by driving in the middle of the street and keeping a lookout. Stay safe out there!
