The Lexus GX (Japanese: レクサス・GX, Hepburn: Rekusasu GX) is a mid/full-size luxury SUV sold in North American and Eurasian markets by Lexus, a luxury division of Toyota. As of 2024, the GX is positioned between the larger LX or TX and the smaller RX. Though it is thought the GX has always been larger than the RX, from 2015 to 2022, the RX is slightly longer and slightly wider than the GX and therefore the GX was considered smaller. All GX production has occurred at the Tahara plant in Japan, alongside the Land Cruiser Prado and the export-minded Toyota 4Runner.

I WOULD ASSERT THAT MINE IS A DEFECTIVE VEHICLE. IT SEEMS THE SECONDARY AIR PUMP (PART OF THE EMISSIONS SYSTEM) IS DEFECTIVE AND DETERIORATES, CAUSING THE ENTIRE SYSTEM TO STOP WORKING. Just bought my GX470. It's much roomier than my RX. I'm absolutely loving the car! The SUV hugs the road, drives great, and Lexus's comfort is unmatchable to any other car.

I bought my GX470 brand new back in 2007 and I have to say, it's been a really comfortable and enjoyable ride. The DVD and sound system are absolutely outstanding, although I do find the multi-CD/DVD exchanger a bit hard to reach. Unfortunately, the armrests on the front seats can be a bit annoying as they keep locking in the up position. Additionally, the gas mileage isn't great, only around 18 MPG. The third row seating is also a bit cramped. However, my biggest issue has been with the depreciation value. It's quite disappointing to see that after just 1 1/2 years, the trade-in value is only $27K - $31K, especially considering that I paid over $58,000 for it when it was new. Just turn 200 miles. This vehicle is excellent! I love driving it, it handles really well and the Gen 5 Nav is outstanding. It's a great LUV!

I hope you're doing well! I wanted to share my experience with my CPO purchase back in 2013. At the time of purchase, it had 40,000 miles and now it has 155,000 miles. I must say, it's been a solid, comfortable, and incredibly capable vehicle. Even after all these years, it still only has one or two small rattles and drives very smoothly on the highway. Of course, it can go wherever you aim it off the road. When I bought my Lexus, I was hoping for perfect reliability with only minor maintenance such as oil changes, battery replacements, and tire rotations. However, in our 9 years of ownership, we have had about 5 major repairs. The last 3 repairs were after the extended warranty ran out, which was a bit of a bummer. One of the air suspension bladders developed a leak, the A/C went out (which could be considered a maintenance item, but it was $2000 to fix), and one of the tire inflation sensors went out. Only the air suspension problem made the vehicle a little unsafe until we got it repaired. Overall, we have loved almost every minute with the GX, and would probably buy another one if the circumstances warrant. For now, we'll just keep this one and keep on truckin'. Thanks for listening!

Just drove my new GX 470 off the lot yesterday. So glad I made the purchase! It has plenty of room and feels very commanding on the road with its height. The quality fittings are impressive, especially the ones with Nav. I can tell this is a vehicle I'll be keeping for a while, it's definitely worth the investment.

I have always purchased BMWs, but decided to get a Lexus for a change. However, I recently traded it in and went back to BMWs. Although the SUV is very well made, we found it awful to drive and actually felt unsafe in ours.
