I BELIEVE THIS REALLY NEEDS TO BE INSPECTED SINCE THIS SUBFRAME ISSUE IS KNOWN FROM 3-4 DIFFERENT DODGE/CHRYSLER/JEEP MODELS AND NOT ADEQUATELY COVERED BY THE MANUFACTURER. - Summary: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2011-2014 Chrysler 200, 2010 Chrysler Sebring, 2010-2012 Dodge Caliber and 2010-2014 Jeep Patriot, Compass and Dodge Avenger vehicles. The Occupant Restraint Control (OCR) module may short circuit, preventing the frontal air bags, seat belt pretensioners, and side air bags from deploying in the event of a crash.
- Consequence: If the frontal air bags, seat belt pretensioners, and side air bags are disabled, there is an increased risk of injury to the vehicle occupants in the event of a vehicle crash that necessitates deployment of these safety systems.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the OCR, free of charge. Interim letters informing owners that parts are not available yet were mailed on October 26, 2016. The recall began on August 15, 2017. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S61.

We purchased this car brand new from a dealer in Maryland. My husband used it for his long work commutes. When it reached 70K, we decided to buy a new car and I started using the Caliber for my daily commute. We have had absolutely no issues with this car. In fact, it runs much better than my previous Saab. We are now preparing to sell it as we have four vehicles parked outside. I would have no hesitation in driving this car for another 50K miles or more.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share a recent experience I had with my car. Unfortunately, on February 28th, during my commute to work, my car caught fire and was completely destroyed. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but it was definitely a scary situation. I noticed some strange smells and turned off everything electrical that I could think of, but unfortunately, it didn't prevent the fire. The fire was so intense that it completely engulfed the engine compartment in just a few minutes. I'm still waiting to hear what caused the fire, but I'm just grateful that everyone is safe. It's such a shame because my car only had 28,600 miles on it! Take care and stay safe.

After turning in my Durango, I decided to opt for something smaller with better gas mileage. I always name my cars, and after taking this particular one for a spin, I found it to be so spunky for a 4 cylinder that I named it Spunky. It drives great, gets excellent gas mileage, and was the perfect purchase for me. In fact, within the first month of owning it, I took it on a road trip from PA to Williamsburg VA and back, and it only required one tank of gas each way. Despite having three rather large passengers, we all enjoyed the ride and the low cost.

The car is great overall! I do have one small complaint though, the engine can feel a bit underpowered in certain circumstances. However, for the price, it's unbeatable!

I'm from Europe and I just bought a Dodge Caliber. I'm so glad I did! It provides both security and pleasure, and my family is thrilled with the choice. For the price, I don't think there's a better option out there. I searched for the perfect car for about 6 months, and this one is definitely the best in its segment and price range.

Firstly, the car is not very powerful and can be quite noisy. If you need to merge onto the highway, it's best to plan ahead. If there is a vehicle coming, it's better to let it go by to give you a longer launch pad. The automatic transmission could be improved. Finally, there seems to be an issue with the antifreeze. When I left the dealership, the car overheated after only 5 minutes on the road. The radiator was only a quarter full. After that, I had to fill it every week. There were no puddles under the car and no obvious leaks, and the oil was clean. So, where did the fluid go? In conclusion, apart from the gas mileage, this was not the best auto purchase I have made.

This car may not be the best fit for everyone, but it has its perks. If you enjoy the occasional adventure and don't mind some extra expenses, this car could be a fun choice. By the way, I've decided to get the car painted lemon yellow instead of dreamy blue.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my Caliber. Unfortunately, after two weeks of riding it, I began to experience some consistent problems with the tires and some clanging noises. I took it to the dealer a few times and they were able to fix the problem, but it ended up happening again a few months later. I'm just wondering if I happened to purchase the only defective 2010 model on the lot. Have you had any similar experiences?

Although we haven't had it for long, I'm disappointed with the gas mileage of the car. It only gets 20-25 mpg, which is lower than expected. Initially, we thought the gas handle was broken, and the company promised to fix it in 3 months. However, when we called back, they said it would take another 3 months. Additionally, the car struggles to move in snow, and I even got stuck in my driveway. In comparison, my Buick had no issues. Unfortunately, the car has already broken down with only 6252 miles on it. If you were to ask me whether you should buy this car, I would suggest considering other options.

Hello! I recently rented a car on a trip and chose a small hatchback because I love them. At home, I drive a 2008 VW Rabbit. My college-age son, who isn't really into cars, immediately noticed that the interior quality was not as good as our Rabbit's. He asked if it was an American car, but I doubt he would say that about a newer Ford. While driving this car, I didn't find it as pleasurable as driving German cars. It's just adequately powered, and the steering is not very responsive. However, the car does get points for its exterior styling, and I assume it's fairly reliable. If you're looking for a small hatch, I would recommend checking out the Mazda3, new Golfs, Honda Fit, etc. before considering this one. Thank you for reading!
