The Dodge Caliber is a compact hatchback manufactured and marketed by Chrysler's Dodge division from the 2007 through 2012 model years, replacing the Dodge Neon and Chrysler PT Cruiser.
Following the Caliber concept, which debuted at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show, the pre-production version debuted at the 2006 North American International Auto Show, with a market launch in March 2006.
The Caliber was manufactured at the Belvidere Assembly (Illinois) plant, and across its six-year model run, just over 400,000 were produced.

These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or requiring excessive force to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share a recent experience I had with my car. Unfortunately, on February 28th, during my commute to work, my car caught fire and was completely destroyed. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but it was definitely a scary situation. I noticed some strange smells and turned off everything electrical that I could think of, but unfortunately, it didn't prevent the fire. The fire was so intense that it completely engulfed the engine compartment in just a few minutes. I'm still waiting to hear what caused the fire, but I'm just grateful that everyone is safe. It's such a shame because my car only had 28,600 miles on it! Take care and stay safe.

My wife and I test drove several different cars and finally decided on the Caliber. We went with the R/T model because we wanted the extra power that the 2.4L engine provides. We've been pleasantly surprised by all the little extras that come with it, which have added to our enjoyment of owning the car. Overall, we feel like we got a lot of car for our money.

After turning in my Durango, I decided to opt for something smaller with better gas mileage. I always name my cars, and after taking this particular one for a spin, I found it to be so spunky for a 4 cylinder that I named it Spunky. It drives great, gets excellent gas mileage, and was the perfect purchase for me. In fact, within the first month of owning it, I took it on a road trip from PA to Williamsburg VA and back, and it only required one tank of gas each way. Despite having three rather large passengers, we all enjoyed the ride and the low cost.

I hope you're doing well! I wanted to share my experience with the R/T AWD. I absolutely love my Caliber! It's got a lot of zip, is incredibly comfortable, and I really enjoy driving it. I actually traded in my Corvette for this economical car and I couldn't be happier. I average 23-25 around town and 24-25 on the highway. I opted for the Pebble/Sand interior and Inferno Red exterior, with a sunroof, Boston sound, and Sirius. For about $21k, I'm really impressed! I think adding the upgrades and going for the 2.4L AWD probably made a big difference on the other ratings. Plus, the lifetime warranty on the drivetrain is a huge plus. I'm still learning about the car, but I have to say, the back seat is even larger than my Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo!!

Hey there! Just wanted to let you know that I'm currently renting a brand new vehicle from Enterprise with less than 1000 miles on it while my primary daily driver is in the body shop. Unfortunately, my experience with Caliber hasn't been the best. Although the car looks alright, it seems to be poorly assembled. It's quite noisy, the gearbox is a bit lame, and there is even glue coming out of the shift lever. Additionally, I've noticed that the rear hatch requires a bit of force to close and the passenger door is slightly out of alignment. Just wanted to give you a heads up!

This car excels at providing reliability and room for our newborn. The CVT is very smooth, which is great for a sleeping baby. However, it has a slow throttle response time, especially noticeable when pulling out into traffic. Additionally, it has bad blind spots and makes a drumming noise when you roll down a back window going over 30 mph. Despite these drawbacks, the 2.0l engine and CVT provide a solid driving experience.

This car is a decent option for a daily commuter or as a first car for a new driver. While it may not be the most powerful, it gets the job done and is reliable. The interior may not be the most luxurious, but it is functional and the radio and air conditioning work well. One thing to keep in mind is that the exterior styling can make it difficult to keep clean, but overall it's a good car with a great warranty.

I purchased my car 6 months ago with 68K miles on it. During the first week, I noticed a whining noise coming from the front end. I took it to the dealership and insisted that they fix it. They replaced the passenger side wheel bearing at no cost. In week 7, the airbag light came on, so I took it to a different shop where they informed me that a sensor had gone out. The cost to fix it was $323.00. By week 11, I noticed a grinding noise coming from the front end on the driver's side. I took it back to the shop and they informed me that the ball joint had gone out, which is apparently connected to the tie rod end as one piece. This issue was causing my tires to wear badly on the inside. While the car was in the shop, I also had the battery replaced. The total cost for these repairs was $968.00. Unfortunately, just 6 months after purchasing the car, the alternator died and I was stranded. The cost to tow and repair the car was $548.00. If you are not in need of a car, I would not recommend this one!

This car has had several issues since I purchased it. Firstly, there was a problem with rainwater coming through the sunroof. Despite Dodge's initial denial of the issue, I was able to find evidence of it online and eventually got it fixed after 3 months. Secondly, the check engine light kept coming on, but after some persistence, I was able to identify and fix the problem. Finally, the suspension system rusted out prematurely after 12 years and 98,000 miles. Fortunately, I was able to get it to the repair shop in time before any serious damage was done. Although I have had a difficult experience with this car, I am grateful that I was able to identify and fix the issues. While I would not purchase another Dodge Caliber, I hope that others can learn from my experience and make informed decisions when buying a car.
