The Activ and RS models also feature a contrasting color roof.
It was launched in the Philippines in October 2021. Imported from South Korea, it notably reused the nameplate from the previous Colorado-based Trailblazer which was discontinued in the same year.
On January 16, 2020, the Trailblazer was launched in South Korea. The Korean-market model is larger in dimension than Trailblazers sold in other markets, with a length of 4,425 mm (174.2 in) and width of 1,810 mm (71.3 in).

- Summary: Several months ago, I was at a fast food drive up window. I had my drivers side window down while paying for my food and receiving my food. It was down pouring and the inside of my door got pretty wet. I wiped off the rain as best as I could but everything was soaked. The very next day the drivers side door controls started to go haywire. The window button stopped working and my door locks only worked occasionally until they stopped working all together. My side mirrors can no longer be adjusted from the drivers seat. I have to get out of the vehicle and manually adjust both driver and passenger side mirrors. I'm not sure if there is a short in the wiring from the rain or just what is going on. I asked a parts dealer to see how much it would cost to replace the drivers side door controls module and he was of no help except to say its a recall part because of moisture. I've looked this up and I see there was a recall but my VIN isn't on the recall list. I don't understand why my vehicle is excluded considering this appears to be exactly what this incident generated the recall in the first place. I further looked into the investigation you had on the Trailblazer's outside of the salt belt states having the same issues with the moisture and issues that arise from the damaged door controls. I'm not sure if I would be considered in the expanded recall but I'm certain I should be as this is exactly why my drivers side door controls failed. I feel this is a huge safety issue as i don't know if there is a electrical/wiring short and not being able to adjust the side mirrors is an impairment. There was no warning to let me know anything was wrong. The system just went out just that fast. Please advise me how to proceed with my next steps to get this resolved. Also, my low beams went completely out the other day and replacing the bulbs didn't fix that issue. I do have a recall scheduled for January to get the headlights fixed and I'd like them to fix both issues. Thank you.

2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer recalls
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued 8 recalls for different components of the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer.
- Manufacturer: General Motors LLC
- Components: VISIBILITY:POWER WINDOW DEVICES AND CONTROLS
- Summary: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2006-2007 Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer and GMC Envoy vehicles, and 2006 GMC Envoy XL and Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT vehicles. Fluid may enter into the driver's door master power window switch module, causing corrosion that could result in a short in the circuit board, causing window switches to become inoperative. Previously, the affected vehicles may have had their master power window switch module treated with a protective coating, instead of having it replaced.
- Consequence: The protective coating may not eliminate the risk that the circuit board could short and result in a fire, even while the vehicle is unattended.
- Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will install a new driver's door switch module, free of charge. The recall began on November 2, 2015. Owners may contact Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, and GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is 15700.

- Summary: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix, 2006-2009 Buick LaCrosse, 2006-2007 Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT, GMC Envoy XL, 2006-2008 Isuzu Ascender, and Saab 9-7x vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the headlamp driver module (HDM) may overheat and fail, causing the headlamps and daytime running lights to not illuminate.
- Consequence: Headlamps that do not illuminate reduce the driver's ability to see the roadway and reduce the vehicle's visibility to oncoming vehicles, both of which increase the risk of a vehicle crash.
- Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the HDM, free of charge. The recall began on May 17, 2016. Owners may contact Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300 or Pontiac customer service at 1-800-762-2737. GM's number for this recall is 14291.

Fluid may enter the driver's door master power window switch module, causing corrosion that could result in a short in the circuit board. A short may cause the power door lock and power window switches to function intermittently or become inoperative. The short may also cause overheating, which could melt components of the door module, producing odor, smoke, or a fire.
- Consequence: A short in the circuit board could lead to a fire, increasing the risk of personal injury. A fire could occur even while the vehicle is not in use. As a precaution, owners are advised to park outside until the remedy has been made.
- Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the part number on the door module, and install a new door module if necessary, free of charge. Parts for the remedy are not currently available. An interim letter was mailed to owners in August 2014. A second owner letter will be mailed when parts are available. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-800-521-7300 (Buick), 1-800-222-1020 (Chevrolet), 1-800-462-8782 (GMC), 1-800-955-9007 (SAAB), and 1-800-255-6727 (Isuzu). GM's number for this recall is 14309. NOTE: This recall provides a new remedy for all vehicles covered by recall 13V-248. Vehicles whose modules were modified but not replaced as part of the previous recall remedy must have their vehicles remedied again under this campaign.

- Consequence: IF THE PASSENGER SENSING SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONS, THE FRONT AIR BAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE MAY BE DISABLED WHEN IT SHOULD BE ENABLED, OR ENABLED WHEN IT SHOULD BE DISABLED. IN EITHER CASE, IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH THAT REQUIRES AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT, A FRONT PASSENGER'S LEVEL OF INJURY MAY BE INCREASED.

This vehicle is not only fun to drive, but also very stable and comfortable. The power is exceptional for a 6 cyl. engine. The interior layout is great, and the options are fantastic!

I tried the 4 runner, which seemed great until I drove the Chevy. I traded up from a Cobalt. So far so good! It's a smooth truck and handles better than a small car, which is a pleasant surprise.

Congratulations on reaching 44000 trouble-free miles with your Trailblazer! It's great to hear that you've only had to replace the rear brakes recently, and that the original tires are still in good shape. This is actually your second TB, and it sounds like the fancier features like the 4x4, step bars, and mud flaps have made it even more enjoyable to drive. You've taken this vehicle across the country and towed your trailer with it, and it has performed well throughout. It's understandable that you're disappointed to hear that GM is phasing out this model, but it's clear that you've had a positive experience with it overall.

This SUV is really enjoyable to drive and handles exceptionally well. Although the mileage could be better, averaging around 15 mpg means I find myself at the gas pump more often than I'd like. The interior design could be improved, it would be great to have the wood trim like the GMC and the new 2007 Chevy Tahoes and Suburbans have. The build quality could also be better, as it sounds like the windows are down when they are all up. Additionally, about a month ago it got stuck in drive and would not move to R or P (park), which was not ideal. However, the sound system is good, although it can cause some shaking/rattling when the bass is on. Overall, this SUV is a great buy!

This is actually my second Trailblazer. The first one was great, so I decided to buy another one. I have driven this vehicle across the country many times, even in some pretty bad weather conditions, and it has always performed flawlessly. I have read some negative reviews, but I have not experienced any of the issues mentioned. My Trailblazer has 56,000 miles on it and I have never had to have any warranty work done. I did replace the rear brakes, but the front ones are still in good condition. I put a new set of tires on it last year. I find it very comfortable to drive long distances. The fit, finish, and paint are all good, and the vehicle still looks like new. There are no squeaks or rattles, it's still like new.

I owned my 2006 Trailblazer for just over 3 years, and although I loved the car, it seemed to have one problem after another. Everything was fine until I hit the 80,000 mile mark, and then things started to go wrong. It began to rust quickly and was breaking down about every other month. Finally, around 92,000 miles, I decided to trade it in. It was a fun car to drive, but the repair costs were through the roof. I took great care of the car, so I was surprised to have so many issues.

It's great to have a comfortable ride, but I have noticed some exterior noise that can be a bit distracting. The gas mileage is not as good as I had hoped, and I only get around 12-16 MPG, which is lower than the sticker MPG for city and highway. In hindsight, I should have spent the extra money and gone for the EXT version. Additionally, there isn't much room in the truck for visits to the grocery or building supply store, especially when carrying a young family of four. It would be great if GM could consider developing a plug on the stereo for your cellphone to be used with your radio speakers.

My TB has been great despite some minor issues. Although the fuel economy is not ideal at 13 mpg hwy, it has not affected my overall satisfaction with the car. I did experience some sensor issues, resulting in the 'Service stabili-trak' warning coming on frequently. However, after consulting with the dealer, it was determined to be a minor sensor issue that did not affect the car's performance. The gas level gauge did stop working around 45k miles, which can be inconvenient as it constantly beeps that I'm out of gas. Additionally, the 'check engine' light comes on, causing it to fail emissions. Unfortunately, the dealer would not fix it under emissions warranty. However, I have been informed by my cousin, who works for a parts dealer, that GM cars have some sensor issues. Firestone also confirmed this. Despite these issues, I have not experienced any electrical problems, even after installing a new battery. The AC works great.

I bought the TrailBlazer new in March and have enjoyed the extra room it provides for my small family. Although the straight 6 engine gives us great power, the gas mileage is not so great. Unfortunately, I have had to take it back to the dealer three times for adjustments to the doors due to excessive wind noise. To add to my troubles, the power window on the driver's side stopped working today, which means another trip to the dealer. Despite these issues, I still find the TrailBlazer to be a wonderful vehicle!

This vehicle has been in the repair shop twice for electrical problems, despite having only 5600 miles. However, the 291 horsepower rating is incorrect and should be closer to 200 hp. The gas mileage is 12-14 city and 18-20 highway. While the off-the-line acceleration is lacking, the acceleration past 40 mph is impressive. The transmission is satisfactory, but a 5 or 6-speed option would improve both performance and gas mileage. The G80 rear locking differential is exceptional, making 4wd unnecessary. Although wind noise is noticeable at highway speeds, the turning circle is great and better than most cars. Additionally, the stability control is excellent.
