For the 1995 model year, the Tahoe and Yukon gained a new, longer four-door model, slotting in size between the two-door models and the longer-wheelbase Chevrolet/GMC Suburbans.
The Tahoe is sold in North America, parts of Asia such as the Philippines, and the Middle East, plus other countries including Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and Angola as a left-hand-drive vehicle. The Yukon is only sold in North America and the Middle East.
The Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon are part of General Motors' full-size SUV family and are differentiated from the similar Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon XL primarily by the length of the passenger and cargo area behind the C-pillar. - Summary: I bought Achilles desert hawk uhp 285/50/R20 tires in late 2019 from Walmart . and had them mounted in 2020 from discount tire. Within 10 months of tires being mounted I had a vibration and it was getting worse every day so I started looking at it and found I had a separated tire on the driver's side front. I put my spare on and contacted Walmart which told me sorry for your luck and there is nothing they can or will do.so I contacted discount and they said to contact Achilles tire. I did and never heard back from them. I then forgot about it until roughly 5 months ago when passenger tire was separated. Then 3 days ago the passanger rear separated and now today the driver's rear has separated. I understand 1 tire possibly 2, but to have all 4 tires separate in less than 2 years and in under 10,000 miles is mind blowing to me..I have all the tires and I filed a complaint with Walmart and Achilles after the 2nd one. I honestly don't think it's discount tires responsibly. I only had them install tires because walmart would make excuse after excuse and I got fed up with it. - Summary: In the past I have sent several emails to Chevrolet corporate office re the ABS brake system on my Tahoe which first failed with only 130 miles on the vehicle. Vehicle almost tipped over but I recovered the braking system and stopped vehicle only inches from going off a cliff and into the ravine below. I love my Tahoe which now has 109000+ miles on it but the ABS brake system has never worked and on several occasions almost wiped out myself and a passenger because brakes failed to engage. I filed several complaints with the Chevrolet dealer in Austin, TX where I bought my Tahoe and also here in Taos, NM where I currently live. Recently I had the Chevrolet dealer here in Taos run a diagnostic on my ABS brakes. Result was that the brake system was defective and would cost $2000 to repair! I feel Chevrolet should pay for the repair since my Tahoe was delivered from the factory with defective ABS brakes. As it is, my Tahoe cannot be resold since the system as is could kill anyone in this vehicle if they did not know how to recover when pedal is all the way to the floor and vehicle is picking up speed rather than slowing down. Certainly even I could hit an elk standing in middle of highway because I would not be able to recover brake system in time.

THREE YEARS LATER, WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO AN ANIMAL AND THEN INTO A GUARDRAIL. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED BACK INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTO BODY REPAIR CENTER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

We have over 35,000 miles on the truck. It has a fine power and ride with good fuel economy for its size and the big V8. However, the interior design could use an update as there is too much plastic.

Overall, I'm really impressed! I love the comfort, feel, and diversity that this vehicle offers. There's so much room inside, and the 4x4 capacity is a great feature. The luxury seating and dual climate control are also fantastic touches.

This is definitely the best SUV I have ever driven! The ride, power, and transmission are all perfect. It's so fun to drive and comfortable too. The 4x4 is great for any adventure. Although the stereo was lacking, I decided to park it and spend the last 2 months installing a Mcintosh, Boston, and Kicker system. Now, I can't stop driving it! This SUV is definitely a keeper.

I came across this truck while shopping for a new one as my Jimmy lease was about to expire. It's a GM Certified Used truck with only 16,000 miles on it and has never been in for anything other than routine maintenance. I highly recommend this truck to anyone. Although I haven't tried any serious offroading in it, it handles the harsh Michigan winters with ease!

I bought my 01 Tahoe used in 05 with around 50k miles on it. It has been a great vehicle overall. I added a dual exhaust and a K&N filter, which increased the fuel efficiency by 2-3 mpg. The engine and transmission are still in good shape, but some other parts of the car are a bit loose. The steering is not as smooth as it could be, and the suspension has been a bit of a challenge to fix. The 'autoride' feature has not been the best automotive engineering decision, as the air compressors don't last and the shocks are quite expensive. However, considering that the truck is 10 years old, it's understandable that there may be some suspension issues that require a significant investment to fix.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my 2001 Chevy Tahoe Z71. I've been the original owner and have had minimal trouble with it over the years. Recently, I've noticed a few issues starting to pop up, such as the window and windshield washer motors. I'm also a bit concerned about the transmission, as it's been known to slip. Despite these concerns, I've kept up with regular maintenance and change the oil every 500 miles. On the bright side, I'm really happy with the fuel mileage - I have the 5.3L motor and average 15-16 mpg, which is great for the size of the vehicle.
