- Summary: The engine started to leak oil, coming down the passenger side of the motor. This was around at 22,000 miles. The dealer says that this is a leaking intake manifold gasket. It has taken them 3 separate repairs to fix this issue. I feel that my engine warranty from Cadillac should be extended, past the 5yr 60k powertrain warranty. We have had this vehicle now for 4 years, and we don't drive it alot. As of this writing 11/21/2023 the vehicle has around 29,000 miles on it. It appears that it is leaking again, so it will be going back into the dealer again.

- Summary: The throttle and accelerator pedal is very HOT- highly sensitive, resulting in jerky lunging upon start off in 1st gear from a dead or 1 mph stop. The vehicle has been into the dealer 2 times for this issue with the same repair comments, vehicle meets all factory specs and all XT 4 react this way- well that's not safe. If that's the case, then this is a design defect which is unsafe as the accelerator pedal reacts to quickly with a non-smooth action and lunging which could cause a rear end collision. Other car evaluators have also indicated the XT6 has a jerky accelerator, just like what I am reporting. It may be the TPS -Throttle Position sensor in combination with the APS-Accelerator Position sensor. Sometimes it is so violent it throws occupants backward into the seats. Dealer says within spec. GM needs to solve this issue.

REPAIRS MADE UNDER POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. ENGINE CONTINUED TO LEAK AND WAS BROUGHT BACK INTO THE DEALERSHIP 05/02/2023. DEALER SAID THAT THE OIL PAN WAS CRACKED AND THEY REPLACED IT UNDER POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. ENGINE CONTINUES TO LEAK, AND WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 05/08/2023 FOR MORE REPAIRS ALONG WITH A FAILED BATTERY. ENGINE IS STILL BEING WORKED ON AS OF 05/12/2023. DEALER SAYING THAT ENGINE HAS A LEAKING HEAD GASKET AND THAT GM IS STARTING TO REALIZE THAT THEY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS ENGINE. REPAIR REQUIRES SPECIALIZED TOOLING FOR INSTALLING THE HEAD GASKET. STARTING TO RUN INTO 10 DAYS NOW WITH THE LOSS OF USE OF THE XT-4. OIL LEAK IS AFFECTING THE ENGINE PERFORMANCE STALLING AND CHUGGING AND MAY BE MAKING ITS WAY INTO THE PASSENGER FRONT RIGHT BRAKING SYSTEM. - Consequence: Failure of the rearview camera image to display can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Dealers will update the VPM software or replace the VPM, as necessary, free of charge. An interim owner notification letter informing owners of the safety defect was mailed January 17, 2023. Owner notification letters were mailed February 3, 2023. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006. GM's number for this recall is N222373320. .

- Consequence: An improperly secured seat belt retractor may not function properly in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
- Remedy: Dealers will inspect and tighten the rear seat belt retractors, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 17, 2021. - Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the start-stop transmission accumulator and replace it if any bolts are missing, free of charge. The recall began December 15, 2020. We leased our xt4 about a month ago and we're thrilled with the car. We like it much better than our previous car, which was a BMW X1. The xt4 is absolutely gorgeous, drives like a dream, and has an incredibly comfortable ride. I highly recommend it to anyone considering it.

We purchased this car a year ago and I must say, it is very underrated compared to German and Japanese luxury vehicles. The interior is luxurious and comfortable for both the driver and passenger. The infotainment screen is well-organized and very responsive, while the camera quality is crystal-clear. The sleek exterior is easily recognizable in a parking lot. Additionally, the XT4 drives very well and the engine sounds powerful with amazing performance. The only cons are that the backseats don't recline and feel a bit uncomfortable, but it's not a deal breaker. The transmission doesn't have smooth transitions between gears at certain speeds and it takes a second for the turbo charge to activate when accelerating. Overall, the XT4 is a car that should definitely be on your radar if you're looking for a luxury SUV.

Once in a lifetime, the manufacturer really got it right! This car has style, function, quality, and class. I was considering buying a Lexus, but I'm so glad I didn't. I've owned about 30 different makes and models, and I must say, I'm very pleased with this one.

This car has plenty of power, so no need to worry about that. Although the tech features are nice, having three ways to change radio stations, as well as numerous other functions, can be confusing at first. However, it just takes a little time to get used to. The garage button was easy to program, and Bluetooth connectivity was seamless. The cornering is exceptional, and the steering is excellent. We did realize that the cargo area is smaller than we initially thought, and the shifter is a bit counter-intuitive, but after a few drives, it was no problem. Overall, we highly recommend this nice compact SUV.

If you previously owned an XT5, you may be disappointed with this one. I was surprised by the difference in the ride quality, as every small bump on the road feels like a big one. It's understandable why the official Cadillac logo is not used on it, as it doesn't quite live up to the Cadillac standard. It may feel more like a tricked-out Chevy than a true Cadillac.

Although I have had several Cadillacs, my experience with the Premium Luxury edition has been disappointing. Unfortunately, the vehicle did not come with GPS and there were several recalls that needed to be addressed. Despite the challenges, I am confident in the quality of the Cadillac brand and believe that these issues can be resolved with the right support.
