The XT4 is produced at GM's Fairfax Assembly plant, and went on sale in the fall of 2018 as a 2019 model. The Chinese-market XT4 is manufactured in Shanghai by SAIC-GM.

The issues began about three weeks after my lease began. Cadillac directly and the dealerships have done nothing to resolve this and have continuously kicked it down the road with no resolution. I am not comfortable driving a vehicle in which seatbelt deatures are compromised.

After experiencing long delays with my factory order due to Covid, I finally received my vehicle in July. I must say, it was definitely worth the wait! As someone who appreciates nice vehicles regardless of the brand, I had never considered getting a Cadillac before. However, the XT-4 caught my eye and I decided to order one. To my surprise, it has exceeded all of my expectations, including reliability. With 11000 Km's (7000 Miles) on the clock, it has not missed a beat, with no squeaks or rattles and zero complaints. It truly is an engineering marvel. I have owned plenty of new vehicles in my life, ranging from trucks to luxury and sports cars, some were good, some great, but none have provided me with this level of overall satisfaction. It's a fabulous vehicle so far!

Learning all the features of this technology may take some time, similar to switching from an iPhone to an Android. However, with practice, it will become second nature. It's important to note that there are some changes to get used to, such as the reverse and drive positions being switched. But don't worry, with time and practice, it will become more natural.

The engine is a bit noisy, but you don't hear it in the cabin. The technology in this vehicle is very impressive, including Wi-Fi capability, blind spot alert, and auto Start/Stop.

I have noticed that the rear tires on my 2021 XT4 are too close to the back wheel wells. This has caused small driveway rocks to get caught and rip the material in front of the steel plate. If there was more clearance at the back of the tire, this would not be an issue. During acceleration, I hear a bang that sounds like it's hitting the wheel well plate. I reported this issue during my first oil change and requested that it be noted on the maintenance receipt. I am concerned about rocks getting caught and touching the fabric, which could cause further damage. As a new car owner, I did not expect to have this problem and I hope it will be covered under warranty. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I recently purchased a used XT4 with only 30,000kms on it and have been enjoying it quite a bit. The vehicle is peppy, has a 9-speed transmission that shifts well, and revs low on the highway (although it can be a bit jerky at times). The interior is spacious and, considering the used car price, it's quite nice and feature-filled. It's also a nice-looking vehicle that receives lots of compliments. Overall, I would rate it a 4/5. However, the downside is that it doesn't perform well in cold weather. I live in Saskatchewan, Canada, and the past couple of weeks have been -35 degrees Celsius or colder. Unfortunately, this car does not warm up to operating temperature and complains about the cold a lot. The transmission revs high constantly and is very loud, the engine is unresponsive and loud, and the interior creaks and rattles. There's also a high-pitched whining noise coming from the rear. It's clear that this vehicle was not built for our winters. I'm disappointed that I won't be purchasing another GM product, but it's too bad.

I recently upgraded from an SRX to the XT4. One thing to keep in mind is that if you plan on transporting your golf clubs, you may need to put one of the back seats down to fit them in. Additionally, it's worth checking with your playing partners to ensure they have a larger SUV and don't mind driving, as it may be a tight fit for four golfers and their clubs in this car.

I recently purchased this car after years of driving less expensive models. While the car itself is small and responsive, I have found the interior buttons and controls to be confusing. Additionally, as someone who is 6ft and somewhat overweight, I have had difficulty getting in and out of the driver's seat without bumping my head each time. While this has been a big negative for me, it may not be an issue for others. Overall, I would suggest considering other options before making a purchase.
