- Summary: On February 27, 2023 while on the road in the morning heading to work I stopped at a red light. When the light turned green my 2011 Buick GMC Enclave hesitated when I proceeded to accelerate. My vehicle moved slightly then without notice it stopped in the middle of a busy road as several cars backed up behind me as my check engine light came on. Also, while my foot was on the brakes, my vehicle was rolling backwards. In lieu to this hazard to myself and other drivers I placed my vehicle in park. My vehicle was towed at my own out of pocket expense of $125.00 in addition to $16.99 for a Lyft ride home. Two days later the auto shop informed me they checked my battery and alternator and both was good. They continued to tell me they drove my vehicle and it did not cut off or stop running. I informed them I DON’T FEEL SAFE KNOWING MY VEHICLE SHUT OFF WITHOUT NOTICE could they check it again. They kept my vehicle another day and they stated NO CODES SHOWED UP AGAIN THAT THEY CAN POINT TO A SPECIFIC ISSUE. Again, another out of pocket diagnostic expense of $125.00. On 02/28/23 I contacted AutoNation Buick GMC Laurel to inquire if there has been a RECALL in place. The representative stated there WAS NO RECALL IN PLACE. After extensive research and review to my ultimate shocking surprise I see numerous complaints have been expressed with Buick GMC from consumers and previous customers outlining their concerns and this hazardous life threatening situation of THEIR BUICK STOPPING WITHOUT NOTICE. Buick GMC is aware of this repeated life threatening and dangerous issue from consumers and from previous customers year after year after year. Buick GMC nevertheless STILL REMAINS SILENT AND HAVE TAKEN NO ACTIONS NO REMEDY NO RECOURSE ABOUT AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE DANGERS OF THEIR MANUFACTURED VEHICLES. SUBSEQUENTLY, BUICK GMC HAVE NOT TAKEN THE NECESSARY STEPS TO IMPLEMENT A RECALL.

- Summary: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2008-2012 Buick Enclave vehicles manufactured January 3, 2007, to February 29, 2012, 2009-2012 Chevrolet Traverse vehicles manufactured July 6, 2008, to March 9, 2012, 2007-2012 GMC Acadia vehicles manufactured September 15, 2006, to February 29, 2012, and 2007-2010 Saturn Outlook vehicles manufactured August 17, 2006, to March 18, 2010. The affected vehicles, equipped with the power liftgate option, have gas struts that hold the power liftgate up when open. These struts may prematurely wear and the open liftgate may suddenly fall.
- Consequence: If the open liftgate unexpectedly falls, it may strike a person, increasing their risk of injury.
- Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will update the software for the power liftgate actuator motor control unit so that the motor will prevent the rapid closing of the lift gate, free of charge. The recall began on November 15, 2016. Owners may contact Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782, and Saturn customer service at 1-800-553-6000. - Summary: General Motors is recalling certain model year 2009-2014 Buick Enclave vehicles manufactured April 14, 2008, through May 14, 2014, Chevrolet Traverse vehicles manufactured June 6, 2008, through May 14, 2014, and GMC Acadia vehicles manufactured April 9, 2008, through May 14, 2014, and 2009-2010 Saturn Outlook vehicles manufactured April 14, 2008, through March 18, 2010. In the affected vehicles, the flexible steel cable that connects the seatbelt to the front outboard seating positions may fatigue and separate over time.
- Consequence: If the steel cable becomes fatigued and separates, the seatbelt may not properly restrain the seat occupant increasing the risk of an injury in a crash.
- Remedy: General Motors will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and, if necessary, repair and replace the lap pretensioner, free of charge. Parts are not currently available. An interim notice will be mailed to owners in July 2014. A second notice will be mailed to owners once parts become available. The recall for the 2009-2010 model years began on July 11, 2014. The interim letter for the 2011-2014 model years were distributed on July 11, 2014. - Summary: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2008-2013 Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia and 2009-2013 Chevrolet Traverse and 2008-2010 Saturn Outlook vehicles. In the affected vehicles, increased resistance in the driver and passenger seat mounted side impact air bag (SIAB) wiring harnesses may result in the SIAB and seat belt pretensioners not deploying in the event of a crash.
- Consequence: Failure of the side impact air bags and seat belt pretensioners to deploy in a crash increase the risk of injury to the driver and front seat occupant.
- Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected harness connections with soldered connections, free of charge. The recall began on June 16, 2014. Buick owners may contact the owner center at 1-800-521-7300, Chevrolet owners at 1-866-694-6546, Saturn at 1-800-553-6000, and GMC owners at 1-866-996-9463. GM's number for this recall is 14030. Note: Vehicles repaired as part of Customer Satisfaction Campaign 10085 and special coverage 10335 have already had the subject condition repaired and therefore are not included in the safety recall.

- Remedy: GM WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL TIGHTEN THE WIPER ARM NUTS, FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON APRIL 20, 2012.

Congratulations on your new 2011 Enclave! It sounds like you made an excellent choice. The Buick offers spacious and comfortable seating for adults in the 2nd row, with the added bonus of adjustable leg room. The cargo space is also very adequate, making it a practical choice. The leather and finish are of high quality, and the ride is impressively quiet. The V6 engine provides plenty of power, making it a joy to drive. The Enclave's curvy and sporty design is also very appealing. To make your experience even better, I would recommend activating On Star and installing the Navigation Disc. The fuel mileage is around 20 MPG, which is not bad at all. Overall, I'm glad to hear that you're pleased with your Enclave purchase!

We have looked at many different crossovers as we have a very specific need for vehicle height and are demanding on comfort. I'm happy to report that the interior is very nice and a definite upgrade in quality from what I remember GM products to have. The ride is extremely smooth and very quiet! In fact, I would have to say I prefer the ride and comfort of this over our Lincoln and the price was even lower. I also wanted to mention that I received excellent service at the dealership. Overall, a great experience!

I completely understand how you feel about your Enclave! It sounds like it has been the best vehicle you have ever owned, even compared to other great cars like the Tahoe, Silverado, Outlook, and minivans. It's great to hear that it has a smooth ride and fits everyone comfortably. It's definitely a vehicle that will last a long time and be a great investment for your family. And if you ever decide to downsize to a car, I would highly recommend a Buick. They offer the best perks and value in a brand that I have ever experienced.

It's been a while since I last purchased an American car. Currently, I still own a 09 Lexus GS 350 and a Range Rover Sport. I traded my 2009 Acura MDX for the Enclave. Although the Enclave is larger and has a more American drive and feel, it's not as responsive as the other cars I own. However, I still like it and would recommend it. I believe it's time to support American-made cars and it seems like the effort is there for quality. I did have one small issue, but GM and the dealer went out of their way to fix it, and they did!

This car is good for daily commutes, but the AC could be better and there have been some issues with the mechanics and electronics. While it may not be considered an 'entry level' luxury car, there are still plenty of other great options out there. It's best to explore other brands before settling on this one.

I am disappointed with the fuel economy of my 13.3 13.6 in-town Buick, especially since I traded in my 08 Avalanche LTZ which got 14 to 15 in town. Despite Buick's claim that it's in spec's, I expected better from a company like GM, of which I have been a loyal owner for over 40 years. While the car has a very nice and comfortable interior, I feel let down by GM. However, I do appreciate the overall quality of the car and wish I had opted for the Cadillac instead.
