2017 Buick Enclave problems
The Buick Enclave is a three-row full-size crossover SUV produced by General Motors since 2007. It was previewed at the 2006 North American International Auto Show, officially as a concept car, making it the first Lambda vehicle to be displayed. The Enclave is partially based on the Buick Centieme concept shown at the 2003 Detroit Auto Show.
The first-generation Enclave, the Saturn Outlook, the original GMC Acadia, and the first-generation Chevrolet Traverse all shared the GM Lambda platform.
The Enclave replaced both of Buick's SUVs, the minivan-based Rendezvous and the truck-based Rainier, as well as the Terraza minivan. The second-generation Enclave was officially revealed at the 2017 New York International Auto Show.

Common 2017 Buick Enclave problems
The 2017 Buick Enclave, like any other vehicle, has its share of common problems based on complaints from owners. The most frequently reported issues are related to the transmission and airbags, with transmission problems being the most prevalent.
Transmission issues are a significant concern for 2017 Buick Enclave owners. Many have reported excessive vibrations and clunking noises when accelerating or shifting, which typically appear around 90,000 miles.
Airbag problems are another common issue for the 2017 Buick Enclave. While specific details about these problems are not provided in the search results, it is essential to address any airbag-related concerns promptly, as malfunctioning airbags can pose a severe safety risk for both drivers and passengers.
In addition to transmission and airbag issues, the 2017 Buick Enclave has also been reported to have problems with the timing chain, power steering, check engine light, electrical system, and structural components. These issues can affect the vehicle's overall performance, safety, and reliability.
The timing chain, which regulates the turning of the camshaft and crankshaft, can stretch prematurely, causing problems as early as 40,000 miles.
Power steering problems have also been reported, particularly in the 2010 model year, where the power steering occasionally fails, making it difficult and potentially dangerous to steer the vehicle at high speeds.
While the 2017 Buick Enclave has its share of issues, it is essential to note that these problems are not necessarily indicative of the overall quality and reliability of the vehicle. Regular maintenance and timely repairs can help mitigate these issues and ensure a safer and more enjoyable driving experience.

- Summary: GM (Buick) issued this recall over a year ago In spite of numerous phone calls, e-mails, there is no remedy in sight and I have to wonder if GM intends to follow through with a remedy for this issue or just ignore it and run out the clock with no fear of any repercussions for them. Do Fed regulations really have any teeth in them to provide incentive for GM to care about their customers. The dealers are caught in the middle and at the mercy of GM. I'm sure this is an industry problem and gets very little media attention. I guess it's a case of ignore it and it will go away.

Great vehicle! It has a comfortable ride and plenty of space. Overall, I would give it an A+. The only issue is that it may be difficult for those with mobility issues, such as problems with their legs or hips, to step up and enter the seat. My wife and some senior friends have experienced this problem.
-
This is a very high-quality and spacious vehicle. You'll enjoy a comfortable and quiet ride.

I hope you enjoy everything about my Enclave!

Our brand new 2017 Enclave is a significant upgrade from our previous 2010 model, with pleasant improvements to both the interior and exterior. Although the navigation system still requires improvement, we made the confident decision to purchase the 2017 model due to its ability to be towed behind our motor home. It is worth noting that the newer Enclaves are not capable of flat towing. Despite this, my wife's love for her 2010 model carries forward to the 2017. Opting for a 2019 or 2020 model that offers Buick luxury and flat towing capabilities would have cost us an additional $20K. We are confident in our decision to purchase the 2017 Enclave.
-
This is a very nice vehicle. The trim, comfort, looks, mileage, everything is great!

The belt buckles in the back seats are located inside the seats and can be very uncomfortable, even causing bruises. Despite having had two accidents while backing up, the camera did not beep once. However, I made sure to look both ways and still someone was just behind me.
Carlos Dietrich 2024-03-12
I have encountered several issues with the car. The dash information is difficult to program and it does not display maps. Additionally, I am having trouble accessing my favorites to make calls. The back seats are uncomfortable and the seat belt buckle is located inside the seat, making it uncomfortable to sit on. The seats are also not wide enough, causing bruises even when wearing the seat belt. Furthermore, the backup system does not detect cars approaching from behind, which has resulted in two accidents. Unfortunately, the car does not beep to alert me of these potential hazards.
Barrett Davis 2024-01-14
The 2017 Buick Enclave is a great car to drive, but its interior design prioritizes style over functionality. The backup screen is outdated and too small, making it difficult to see, especially in bright sunlight. It falls short of expectations for those who prioritize a good backup screen. In comparison, the Dodge offers a more viable screen. Overall, I was disappointed with the Buick's backup screen and would rate it negatively.
