- Summary: I have a 2017 Audi Q& Prestige. It started using more oil after 103,000 miles to the tune of 1 qt per 10000 miles. After a period of time, as reported by various on line complaints, the engine starts to stutter and miss. Plugs begin to foul and seat rings for plugs become unreliable and start leaking. It does not impact the functions of the car and there is an amber reflector beneath it. According to Federal Law, these are necessary to be visible to others, and without these my car will not pass inspection. However, due to the engineering of the vehicle it requires $5000 to fix. It requires replacing the entire headlight assembly, which is a poor design for the consumer but benefit to the manufacturer. The Audi recall campaign 97CB (NHTSA campaign ID 16 V 642000) addresses this exact issue and applies to some affected VIN numbers but not all. It appears that this issue is happening to MANY more owners outside of the VIN numbers that qualify for the recall. If this is an issue with 2017 Audi Q7s , all 2017 Q7s should be included in the recall.

I took my vehicle to an Audi dealership. The person helping me knew immediately what the issue was as he has seen it many times. When I looked up the issue online, I saw many other Audi owners (not only Q7 either) have the same issue of a side maker light not illuminating. I also saw that there was a recall for side marker lights, however, it seems my VIN was not included in the recall. Audi should be responsible for fixing this known issue that occurs in many of its cars. The dealership told me it would be $5K-$6K to replace the small light bulb! Truly outrageous!

During maintenance service, the car was diagnosed with suspension problem, broken rear coil spring at the passenger side and seriously corroded rear coil spring at the driver side. Dealer service technician advised that the coil springs failure needs immediate attention, safety at risk. No warning lamps, messages or other symptoms prior to the failure. Car was at relatively low mileage (<45K). Noticed that same failure has been commonly reported by other Audi owners.

I recently purchased the 2017 Q7 and while I am satisfied with the car, I believe that it could have been better equipped with some basic features. These include a remote start from the key fob, a convex overhead mirror, wireless charging in the cockpit, vents in the 3rd row, a driver's key pad for vehicle entry, a sunglass holder, and a basic tire pressure monitoring system. I also agree with the comment about the run flats being a disadvantage. I will update my post once I have more information on the maintenance of the car. Overall, I believe that at this price point, the car should have come with these features.

Hi there! I'm happy to report that I walked away from a recent car accident without a scratch or any whiplash. Unfortunately, my car was totaled in a rear-end collision. Thankfully, my Audi's safety system detected the impending impact and pulled me tightly against the seat with the seat belts. The system also automatically called the emergency service and shut the car down after the crash to prevent it from starting. Overall, I'm grateful for the safety features that protected me during this scary experience.

This car is amazing! It's so smooth, quiet, and zippy. The sound system is fantastic, and I love using all of the bells and whistles like the heated/cooled seats, dual zone a/c, and heads-up display. I've never loved a car so much, and the best part is that I've had zero problems with it even after 50K miles of both short drives and road trips.

This car is definitely geared towards adults rather than being a family car, but it's worth it for the amazing road holding provided by the adaptive chassis. Loaded with technology, it can be overwhelming at first, but Audi offers helpful classes to familiarize owners with everything the car is capable of. You have complete control over all the cameras, allowing you to easily switch between front, rear, side, and 360-degree views. The driver's seat is like a cockpit, with heads up technology and the ability to customize the dashboard display to your needs, whether it's fuel consumption or directional maps. The only downside is the limited storage space, with the glove compartment barely able to hold the manuals and the center console only fitting a pack of gum. However, if you fold down the rear seats, you can fit in groceries or a set of golf clubs. It's important to purchase the extended warranty as everything in this car is digital or electronic, including the shift, which may take some time to adjust to. Fortunately, MyAudi online offers a number of instructional videos to help explain the car's technology. The car is so quiet that it's easy to exceed the speed limit, so be careful when driving. Overall, it's an expensive but great driving experience, especially with the prestige package. After a year, I've figured out most of the tech and still enjoy the major benefits of drivability, acceleration, comfort, and safety. The recurring monthly charge to keep maps and everything up to date is a bit disappointing, but given the sudden changes in weather, I'm pleased to be in a mobile mini-fortress. It's important to remember that even with all the safety features, no one can drive on ice.The Q-7 is a superb driving machine, and I have had it for a few years now and like it better than ever. Although front storage is still a problem that can't be fixed, I am still using the tech and still learning. I had a complaint that my camera only showed a side gray outline when the car was backing up whereas the loaner had a clear side picture. However, a young IT person opened something, made a click or two, and now my camera has a clear side picture just like the loaner. It's just too much to know! I have thought of trading it in, but I can't find anything that improves on this Q7, including the new Q7. And now, more than ever, I am glad I have kept the car as Audi has decided to upgrade cellular software to 5G at no expense. The 2017 Q7 gets even better with age.

I absolutely love my car! Although I've only had it since October 9th, it already feels like a high-quality and solid vehicle. The interior is well-made with high-quality components, and the seats are comfortable. However, I do wish that the seats had upper seat back movement like in BMW's comfort seats, as the headrest can feel too high or too low. Coming from a 2015 BMW X5, I do miss the transmission calibration of the BMW, even though they have the same transmission. Despite this, I'm still very happy with my purchase and would do it again. Unfortunately, starting just over 10,000 miles, the brakes started making a horrible squeaking and squealing noise when coming to a stop and backing up. It's very loud and unacceptable. However, the Audi dealer has informed me that Audi NA is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. I'm confident that this issue will be resolved soon.

I received one of the earliest models, which unfortunately caused me a lot of trouble. The brakes and tires were problematic, and the ride was jerky when starting off from a stop. Additionally, the check engine lights persisted despite multiple visits to the dealer. Due to these issues, I decided to trade it in for a Highlander, which has been a much better vehicle for a significantly lower cost.

This car looks like a spaceship inside, which is pretty cool. We got the grey color with the optics package. It's a pretty awesome car....... So it appears. However, we have experienced some reliability issues on day 2 of ownership and approximately 100 miles. Today, we received a yellow light on the dash indicating a 'safety system error' with the airbag. In addition, the car has turned off by itself on 3 occasions when we placed it in park. This happened once at the aim and twice when switching drivers in front of the house. We are also experiencing some issues with the active lane assist. Despite these issues, we are hopeful that the dealership will be able to resolve these problems soon. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work through these initial hiccups. At 70k, we could have purchased 2 more reliable Kia's, but we were drawn to the unique features of this car.

Hey there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share my experience with the Audi car. While the car itself is great, I have been experiencing some issues with the brakes. Unfortunately, I have been to the shop three times and Audi has been unable to find a fix for the horrible metal on metal squealing sound that occurs when reversing or slowing down. I did some research and found that this is a common issue that many people are experiencing. While Audi is aware of the problem, they have not been able to fix it yet. This car drives great. However, its electronics have some issues. For instance, the navigation system sometimes reboots during trips and the voice-activated system only seems to understand German. On the positive side, the car gets good mileage and is comfortable, making it perfect for long trips. The braking system is also excellent. Although there have been some repeated navigation system failures, Audi has been unable to replicate them in the shop. Additionally, the car still leaks during car washes, but Audi suggests turning off the A/C during the wash. The key fob also stopped recognizing the car, but Audi was able to reprogram it. The self-leveling system pump is quite loud, but it works well. Unfortunately, there is no dipstick to check the oil, and the oil level can only be checked through the car's settings. Overall, the technology on this car is great, but it has had multiple failures and more problems than my previous car. This is my first and last Audi.I was advised by Audi that this condition is considered 'normal' and that the vehicle needs to be in recirculation mode or have the A/C turned off while going through a car wash. As someone living in the south, this was a surprise to me as I have never had to do this with any other brand of car. This is my first Audi, having previously purchased Lincolns, but unfortunately they discontinued the MKT which I loved. I traded my 2011 MKT for a new 2017 Audi Q7 which was equipped with $66,000 worth of bells and whistles. However, I have been experiencing some issues with the car leaking water into the passenger cabin during car washes. After reporting the issue to the dealer, they picked up the car from my home and have been working on it for 7 days now. While I am concerned about the issue, I appreciate the effort the dealer is putting in to resolve it. I am looking forward to taking the car on a 1500 mile trip to see my grandkids and hope that the issue has been resolved. Despite some issues with the electronics, I am still enjoying my new luxury automobile.The MMI system can be a bit finicky at times, but I've found that turning off the car and restarting it usually does the trick. While the entertainment system has crashed a few times without explanation, I'm hopeful that the dealership can help me resolve this issue. Although I've had some challenges with my first Audi, I'm still enjoying the luxury experience. I hope that management will take my concerns seriously and work to improve their customer service. Overall, I would recommend considering all options before making a final decision on your next vehicle.

As soon as I drove off the dealer lot, a warning light went off. The next day, another one appeared, and on the third day, the first light went out by itself, but another one came on. Then, the transmission got stuck in park during school drop-off, causing a bit of a commotion with the parents behind me. The windshield wipers also got stuck in service position, and I had to push them back down. They didn't work until I restarted the car a few times. It seems like I keep getting different warnings for things that aren't even an issue, like low windshield washer fluid when it's actually full, or low tire pressure. It's like restarting your computer - after a few restarts, the glitches eventually clear up. I paid too much for this car, and it's been a headache. Although it's comfortable, I'm not happy with it after only 8 days of ownership. I wish I had my 2012 Q7 back. Is anyone in the market for a lightly used Q7? I wouldn't buy this car again.
