As a result of this software bug, in certain circumstances, it the communication module may not be able to contact emergency services. Audi America dealerships require payment and charge consumers $276 for drivers to update the MMI system To correct the software “bug.” Due to the fact that it is a Software issue, which requires updating by the dealership, Extended warranties do not cover fees associated.

- Summary: Our 2020 Audi Q7 (50,100 miles) suffered a catastrophic electrical failure while traveling on the freeway at 65+MPH. Suddenly the engine warning light went on, and then seconds later the entire interior lit up like a Christmas tree before it succumbed to a complete and catastrophic electrical failure. EVERYTHING failed – the car had zero power. No acceleration, brakes, steering, SOS, hazards / turn signals, brake lights, airbags, door locks, etc. My wife and child sat there in a steel box traveling at a high rate of speed while obstacles navigated around them; had they been hit, the air bags would not have deployed. This car nearly cost me my family. Audi replaced the alternator and the battery, and denied my buy-back claim because the incident hasn’t happened multiple times, and therefore doesn’t qualify for the lemon law. We continue to experience problems with the car – most recently: acceleration hesitation and recent warning lights saying 1. camera sensor failure (only to have them start working again), 2. tire pressure warnings (despite all the tire pressures being normal), and 3. warnings notifying me that lights are out (despite all lights operating normally). I believe Audi is underestimating the severity of the situation. We were fortunate that the initial failure on the freeway did not result in injuries or fatalities. I cannot fathom the idea of waiting for the vehicle to fail multiple times before taking it off the road, potentially putting lives at risk. The car has only been serviced at Audi dealerships. My family and I no longer feel safe in this car. While selling it is an option, I cannot, in good conscience, endanger someone else's life by not disclosing the vehicle's history and the well-known electrical defects Audi has.

- Summary: Received a yellow "electrical failure" warning while driving, instructing me to call Audi for service. Audi indicated that the car remained safe to drive, and offered a service appointment greater than one month later. Driving the car the next day, the electrical failure icon converted to red and a message said to pull over immediately. The car was able to make it to a local repair shop, with electrical systems failing one-by-one (starting with heating and progressing from there). On reaching the shop, the car was no longer driveable and had to be pushed into the garage to be assessed. The problem could not be identified at the local shop, so the car was towed to Audi dealer. Problem was found to be the generator. Have been waiting on replacement part for greater than 30 days, with no ETA as of today. Primary safety concern is that the car became undriveable within minutes of the red warning. Had I been on a highway or in heavy traffic, my car could have stalled in the middle of a busy roadway. Even if I had pulled off onto the shoulder, the risk to my family would have been quite high.

Drove straight to the near by dealership and was told not to turn off the vehicle as it might not start. Service Advisor said we were lucky it didn't stop on the freeway as it has for others. He asked us to collect our belongings as the car was not drivable due to a known electrical system malfunction. He said this was a known issue as there were many others impacted with this same issue and have been waiting months for the parts. He also said Audi of America is well aware of the issue but don't want to publicize it as they don't have the parts available to repair all the impacted vehicles. He provided me with the Audi TSB 27 22 41 showing they knew about it since at least March 2021 (Attached).

WITH MOST TRAFFIC MOVING AT 75 MPH, THIS WAS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO SUDDENLY BRAKE FOR NO APPARENT REASON WITH PEOPLE RIGHT BEHIND US. WE CAN NO LONGER US OUR CRUISE CONTROL BECAUSE OF THIS. THE AUDI DEALERSHIP COULD NOT REPLICATE THIS ISSUE. IT ONLY HAPPENED TO US IN A SMALL NUMBER OF CIRCUMSTANCES, BUT WAS DANGEROUS AND FRIGHTENING WHEN IT DID. THE AUTOMATIC SPEED ADJUST ALSO APPARENTLY CANNOT BE TURNED OFF. THE DEALERSHIP DID MENTIONED THEY WERE AWARE OF ANOTHER AUDI VEHICLE THEY HAD SEEN WITH THE SAME ISSUE.

- Consequence: An overheated heating element can increase the risk of a fire.
- Remedy: Dealers will update the control software and replace the heater element for the front camera, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 26, 2023. Owners may contact Audi's customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 90N7.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
- Consequence: During a crash necessitating the deployment of the passenger air bag, the second stage may deploy too quickly when a child is in the front passenger seat, increasing the risk of injury.

I chose this car for its high towing capacity and its ability to fit in a standard garage. The 3.0 liter engine has plenty of power and no turbo lag, thanks to its supercharger. However, the run-flat tires can make for a rough ride and the lack of a spare tire is a concern. Hopefully, new self-repairing tires will replace them soon. While the driver assistance features work well, they can be complex to learn. The third row seats are really only for emergencies, but it's good to have them. The 23 speaker audio system is decent, but could be better. Overall, it's a solid car that's worth the cost. However, it's important to note that the car is complex and may take some time to learn. Some of the features can be more annoying than helpful until you learn how to turn them off. Also, many warning messages are useless and the user guide can be difficult to navigate. Update: While the car is performing well, there are some annoyances that have come up. The navigation system doesn't seem to recognize commands well, and the engine stop-start feature can be frustrating. It's important to note that these issues do not detract from the car's overall quality.It seems like the car's system is not functioning properly. For instance, when I go to get my mail, the car sometimes turns off when I press the start/stop button, and other times I have to press it twice to start the car. Additionally, the automatic front breaking system has activated twice when there was no danger, and the adaptive cruise control can be overly cautious when it comes to speed limit changes. While some of these issues may not be the car's fault, it can be frustrating to have to correct its mistakes. Overall, it feels like the car is trying too hard to follow the rules and ends up causing more problems than it solves.

I love my new Audi Q7 Premium Plus! It's such a stunning car. To keep the cost down, I opted for the 4 cylinder engine, which provides plenty of power for passing and mountain driving. It's rated at 7.1 secs 0-60 and governed at 130 mph, which is more than enough for me. In fact, it feels faster than my old 6 cylinder Highlander. The ride is smooth and quiet, making it a dream to drive. Update: I still feel the same about my exceptional car. It drives and rides like a dream. I live in the mountains and absolutely love driving it on the winding roads.

The car drives exceptionally well and it is extremely quiet. At first, I thought the engine was turned off when I was at a stop sign. It's loaded with great technology and safety features, and it is very comfortable. I'm so glad I made this purchase!

Great cartoon drive! It's got plenty of performance and great gas mileage for a car of this class and performance. The only drawback is that maintenance can be expensive, but that's true of all European luxury cars.

Just purchased a 2019 Q7, trading in our Q5. We needed more room for the grandkids. It's a great vehicle.

The 2019 Q7 3.0 is a nice car, but it does have some issues. The seating could be more comfortable and adjustable, and the acceleration from a stop can be jerky. Additionally, there is virtually no storage space, and the most glaring shortcoming is the oil consumption. In my experience, I have added 2.5 quarts of oil in just 4800 miles. It's worth noting that I have found numerous complaints about Audi engines and excessive oil consumption in hindsight.

I purchased this car in November, but unfortunately, I have decided to sell it and return to Lexus after only 4 months. I have noticed that the garage door opener, hatch release, and horn do not function unless the engine is on, which can be quite inconvenient and even dangerous in certain situations. For example, I was recently parked in a lot with the engine off and the remote key in my pocket when another vehicle began backing straight into my driver's door. I attempted to honk the horn to alert the driver, but unfortunately, it did not work without the engine being on. This was a scary situation, and I was unable to open my door for fear of getting hit. It would be great if the horn could honk without the engine being on, as this would be a simple and effective safety feature. I have noticed that this is not just an issue with the Q7, but with all Audi and German cars. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

My wife and I leased an Audi Q7 two years ago, but unfortunately, we've had to take it to the shop multiple times. We've found that the interior lacks storage space, except for the cupholders which are only suitable for a child's Sippy Cup. Additionally, the passenger seat doesn't have any memory settings. We were disappointed to find that the panoramic roof cannot be opened while driving at speeds over 35 mph due to the deafening noise it creates, which Audi engineers have assured us is normal. The car also tends to use oil frequently, with the low oil light coming on constantly. While the user interface seems a bit outdated for a 2019 vehicle, we still find it easy to use. When considering purchasing an Audi Q7, it is important to choose the right engine. The 3.0 V6 is a much better option than the V4 turbo 2.0, which lacks power and requires the engine to constantly run at high RPMs just to maintain speed. As someone who has owned both the Q7 and a larger SUV, the GL450, I can confidently say that the Q7 with the 3.0 V6 is a great choice. It provides ample power and a smoother driving experience.

I haven't had the chance to drive the car much yet, but it seems to be running fine. However, I did rush into buying it and didn't realize that there is very little room for storage. The armrest and glove compartment are quite small, and there isn't even enough space for my wallet or glasses. Additionally, the back seats are partially cloth instead of leather. Overall, I'm not entirely satisfied with my purchase, especially considering the price tag of 70k. It doesn't seem like a good deal from any aspect.
