Common 2020 Volvo V60 problems
The Volvo V60 2020 has been reported to have several common problems by its owners. Here are the details of these issues:
- Loose rear suspension nut: V60s made between 25 September 2018 and 1 April 2019 may have a problem with loose nuts and screws on the rear suspension. Owners are advised to contact their local dealer to check if their car is affected and have the bolts checked for tightness and replaced if necessary.
- Automatic emergency braking (AEB) system: The AEB system, which is supposed to apply the brakes when the forward collision sensors detect an imminent collision, might not actually do so. A software update is required to fix the issue, and it applies to V60, S90, V90, XC40, XC60, and XC90 models built after 21 January 2019.
- Supplementary restraint system: An issue has been found with the installation of a part of the supplementary restrain system fitted to V60s made between 10-22 September 2020. If your car is affected, it will need to be checked over by a technician at a Volvo dealer.
- Engine issues and poor piston rings: The 2015 and 2016 Volvo V60 models are reported to have engine issues, poor piston rings, and poor fuel economy. These issues can cause trouble, even if the car seems like a good deal. It's recommended to avoid these years if possible.
- In-car electronics issues: The Volvo V60 has been known to have in-car electronics issues, including problems with the infotainment system, fuel system faults, air conditioning issues, and brake system faults. These issues can occur in any year of the V60, but they may be more prominent in less reliable models.
- Reliability concerns: The Volvo V60 is not considered one of the most reliable vehicles on the market. While some years are better than others, it's essential to be aware of potential issues when purchasing a V60.
In summary, the Volvo V60 2020 has several common problems, including software issues, loose rear suspension nuts, and automatic emergency braking system faults. Additionally, earlier models like the 2015 and 2016 V60s have engine issues and poor piston rings. Potential buyers should be aware of these problems and consider them when making a purchasing decision.

I'm thrilled to hear that you're enjoying your fourth Volvo! It's great to hear that you're getting the best of both worlds with the driving stability of a car and the capacity of an SUV. The low ground clearance is a fantastic feature that makes loading and unloading a breeze. It's also wonderful to know that you're driving a unique vehicle that not many people have. Safety is always a top priority, and it's fantastic to hear that Volvo takes this seriously with all their cars, including the V60. With an average of 34 mpg, the gas mileage is excellent, especially with lots of city driving. The design is flawless both inside and out, and I couldn't agree more about Volvo having the best seats in the business!

Fit and finish are excellent. The gas mileage is good and it's very comfortable. In fact, I find it even better than my 2018 v60. The ride is very nice and it has great safety features.

I really appreciate all the features this car has to offer, but I personally find the design on the front a bit too clunky. Although I love the huge moon roof on the Inscription model, it is unfortunately out of my budget. If only the Momentum had a huge moon roof, that might have swayed my decision. I think the older V60's are much nicer and more streamlined, so I'll wait for one of those. They are also less expensive, which is a bonus!

This is the second Volvo V60 we have owned. The first V60 was unfortunately replaced after an accident, but it saved our lives. The new V60 has a lot of exciting new options and handles the road very responsively. We have only had this car for less than a month, but we are already loving it!
