The Volvo S90 is an executive sedan manufactured and marketed by Swedish automaker Volvo Cars since 2016. Its estate variant is called the Volvo V90.

S90

The S90 was unveiled to the public in January 2016, at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan. While not a direct successor to the second-generation S80, the S90 replaces it as the flagship sedan in Volvo's lineup. Several trim levels are available, ranging from Momentum to Inscription. In July 2016, an optional, cosmetic R-Design package was announced. A long wheelbase version was announced for availability in the United States.
For the 2022 model year in the United Kingdom, the range was limited to the S90 Recharge, a mild-hybrid sedan. The S90 Recharge was limited to Plus and Ultimate trim levels with the T8 AWD mild-hybrid engine, a 2.0-litre 455-horsepower (339 kW; 461 PS) 4-cylinder available with all-wheel-drive only.

I have owned cars for the past 20 years and can confidently say that this climate control system is the worst I have ever encountered. The temperature fluctuates rapidly, making it uncomfortable to be inside the car. Even luxury cars do not have such extreme temperature changes.

I used to be a big fan of M.B. cars until their quality declined in the 80's, 90's, and beyond. As for BMW, I find it to be highly overrated and the electronics in the car are over-engineered, leading to financial headaches. On the other hand, the VOLVO -S-90 has been very well received. It has great handling and a wonderful supercharged to turbo-charged 6 cylinder engine that loves to be driven hard. It was designed and built by Porsche many years ago, and the same engine won 'Wards' best build. My car has a total of 110k on the clock and uses zero oil. I have never had an Audi that could do that!

Hi there! I noticed that the guidance software on my XC60 R Design 2010 hasn't been updated since 2012. Recently, I decided to give the S90 a try and was excited about all the extras it came with. However, I did notice that the navigation system wasn't much better. I really hope they keep it updated, especially since I live in a city where roads are constantly changing. Unfortunately, I've had a few instances where the navigation took me the wrong way or couldn't find the address I was looking for. Overall, I love my high-tech car, but the navigation could use some improvement.

To review, I want to mention that the seats used to be great, but they have changed since 2017, possibly due to being manufactured in China. They made some changes to increase the backseat legroom, which completely altered the feel of the seat. Personally, I am not a fan of the new design and I am looking forward to replacing it. I had assumed that the seats would be the same as the 2017 model when I purchased this vehicle.

Within the past 12 months, I had to take my S90 T8 in for service three times due to the rear suspension collapsing onto the back tires. Unfortunately, it happened for the fourth time this weekend and I had to give the car back to the dealership under the Lemon law. It's really disappointing to have experienced this issue multiple times, especially since it affects the safety of the vehicle.

T6 inscription with all the bells and whistles. Pros. This beautiful car always gets lots of compliments and is great on the highway. It has plenty of power and great gas mileage. However, there are some downsides. The car was built in China and the rear rotors have failed at 20,000 miles, but unfortunately Volvo won't pay for the repair due to cheap Chinese steel. The GPS programming could use some improvement and the climate control is the worst I've ever owned in 50 years of car owning. There are too few buttons for direct access, which leads to too much time looking at the center screen interface rather than at the road. Additionally, the voice commands are extremely slow to respond and sketchy at best. The technology was totally unstable for the first 3 months of ownership. Despite these issues, I still enjoyed leasing this car and appreciate its positive features. However, I have decided not to buy it at lease end and will be heading back to MB or Lexus.

I rented a S90 T8 from Hertz for a week. Unfortunately, I should have returned it while I was still at the airport garage. The car has already covered 12,700 miles and the front tires have been replaced. The seats are showing signs of wear, with the perforated part looking thin. Additionally, some of the plastic buttons feel flimsy. I was surprised to learn that the wood trim is actually made of wood, as it feels like plastic. There is a constant drone sound in the car, which can be quite annoying, even when the engine is on. After returning from dinner, I have decided to take it back to the local Hertz agency in the morning. This car is too expensive to be annoyed with, especially when I have a BMW at home that is incomparable.
