The Volvo S60 is a compact executive car manufactured and marketed by Volvo since 2000.
The first generation (2000–2009) was launched in autumn of 2000 in order to replace the S70 and was based on the P2 platform. It had a similar designed estate version called Volvo V70 and a high performance engine and sports-oriented suspension version called S60 R. Styling cues were taken from the ECC concept car and the S80.
The second generation (2010–2018) was released in 2010 for the 2011 model year and has its own estate version, known as the Volvo V60.
The third generation joined the Volvo line-up in 2018 for the 2019 model year. It is built on a shortened version of the Scalable Product Architecture platform, in America's first Volvo factory in Ridgeville, South Carolina. The US became the sole global source of the S60 sedan after production in China was phased out in early 2019.

One common issue reported by owners is the loose nuts and screws on the rear suspension of S60s manufactured between 25 September 2018 and 1 April 2019. This problem can potentially lead to more serious suspension alignment issues, and Volvo dealers can check and replace the bolts if necessary.
Another software-related issue concerns the vehicle connectivity module (VCM), which sends location information to the emergency services after a collision. This problem affects cars built between 26 September 2018 and 30 October 2018. A software update is available at any Volvo dealer to fix the issue.
The automatic emergency braking (AEB) system, which is designed to apply the brakes when the forward collision sensors detect an imminent collision, might not function correctly. A software update can resolve this issue and applies to V60, S90, V90, XC40, XC60, and XC90 models built after 21 January 2019.

Car rides very smoothly with lots of power. The increased electric range and power makes daily all electric driving practical. However, the new android system takes some getting used to and surprisingly loses some nice features the old Sensus system had.

I have really enjoyed owning this car! It has been great to get an average of 75 mpg in gas, which means I can usually drive over 1,000 miles between fill-ups. If you have a shorter commute, I'm sure you could do even better! I charge it on a 120 outlet, which takes 15 hours to charge completely. It's a bit slower than what I thought I'd read on their website, so I typically don't have a full charge. However, the one pedal driving is awesome and the interior feels very premium. The car is also extremely quiet in Pure. I really appreciate that every door will unlock or lock the car. The Bowsers and Wilkins is good, but I'm not sure I'd say it's exceptional or worth the price tag. I like the Google system. It's not outstanding, but it's responsive and generally works well. Despite the bad press around it, it does everything I need it to do. One technology gripe I have is with the instrument cluster. It's either blank or has the Google map. I use Waze on the center screen, so I would love an option to have music info in the center display. Also, burying the drive modes two or three touch screens deep is not ideal for a company that prioritizes safety. It takes a good bit of focus away from driving to get there. Finally, it's a bit annoying that this car doesn't tell you tire pressures. Overall, I absolutely love it and would buy it again in a heartbeat!

This is my third S60, and it is by far the best one yet. The exterior is stylish, the interior is gorgeous, and it's loads of fun to drive. I have the T6 AWD Inscription, and I couldn't be happier!
