The Volvo S60 is a compact executive car manufactured and marketed by Volvo since 2000.
The first generation (2000–2009) was launched in autumn of 2000 in order to replace the S70 and was based on the P2 platform. It had a similar designed estate version called Volvo V70 and a high performance engine and sports-oriented suspension version called S60 R. Styling cues were taken from the ECC concept car and the S80.
The second generation (2010–2018) was released in 2010 for the 2011 model year and has its own estate version, known as the Volvo V60.
The third generation joined the Volvo line-up in 2018 for the 2019 model year. It is built on a shortened version of the Scalable Product Architecture platform, in America's first Volvo factory in Ridgeville, South Carolina. The US became the sole global source of the S60 sedan after production in China was phased out in early 2019.

The Volvo S60, a luxury compact sedan, has been known for its attractive design and well-put-together interior. However, it faces stiff competition from German sport sedans and the Genesis G70. Despite its decent performance figures, it falls short when compared to its rivals.
One common issue reported by owners is the loose nuts and screws on the rear suspension of S60s manufactured between 25 September 2018 and 1 April 2019. This problem can potentially lead to more serious suspension alignment issues, and Volvo dealers can check and replace the bolts if necessary.
Another software-related issue concerns the vehicle connectivity module (VCM), which sends location information to the emergency services after a collision. This problem affects cars built between 26 September 2018 and 30 October 2018. A software update is available at any Volvo dealer to fix the issue.
The automatic emergency braking (AEB) system, which is designed to apply the brakes when the forward collision sensors detect an imminent collision, might not function correctly. A software update can resolve this issue and applies to V60, S90, V90, XC40, XC60, and XC90 models built after 21 January 2019.

This car is absolutely stunning both inside and out! The ride is incredibly smooth and stable, and the transmission is as smooth as silk. The seats are truly excellent! There are a few things to keep in mind: the mild hybrid controls the Auto Start Stop system, but it's seamless and almost invisible in the 2023 model. It's worth noting that you cannot disable the Auto Start Stop in the new Google Infotainment System, but I haven't had any issues with it thanks to the Mild-Hybrid. If you find yourself in heavy stop-and-go traffic, simply put the transmission in M mode (Manual) to disable the Auto-Start Stop system. I find the new Google Infotainment system incredibly user-friendly, and Google Assistant can do almost everything with voice commands! I absolutely love that Google Maps is front and center on the dash display. The car comes with optional 19-inch wheels with 235/40/19 tires, and even with the larger wheels (which I didn't want but came with the car), the suspension is still very comfortable. This car is designed for luxury, not sport! The materials throughout the car are superb, and the panoramic moonroof gives the interior a light and airy feel. The Harmon Kardon sound system is definitely worth the upgrade! I personally think that the Denim Blue/Blonde Interior is a gorgeous combination. The 2023 Volvo S60 is built in South Carolina. I highly recommend treating yourself to a test drive of this car! The PLUS trim is outstanding, with leather, a 360 camera, Pilot Assist, and more. It's truly a great car!

I owned an Audi S6 before purchasing the S60 Polestar and I must say, I am very satisfied with this vehicle. Although it may not be as powerful as my former S6, it comes pretty close. What I lost in power and/or performance, I made up in fuel economy. One of the things I really appreciate about this vehicle is that I can operate it in pure electric, hybrid or full performance mode. It has been 15 months since I purchased it and I have experienced no issues so far. The hybrid and full performance modes are quite exhilarating and I managed to drive over 800 miles on one tank of fuel! The acceleration is very strong and the Bowers and Wilkins audio system is awesome. Although the pure electric range is limited to 25 miles, the exterior is not too wild. The only downside is that the ride comfort dynamics are a little rough for a luxury sedan.

Hi there! I just wanted to share my experience with Volvo cars. I recently purchased my second Volvo S60 in a row and I must say, I'm really impressed with the driving experience, transmission, and safety features. I opted for a white T5 Momentum with the premium package, heated seats, and blonde leatherette interior. It's definitely an upgrade from my 2013 S60, with much more rear legroom and a smoother driving experience. If you're considering the blonde leatherette interior, I highly recommend it as it looks and feels exactly like the leather model. On the other hand, black leatherette feels and looks different. One thing I learned during my purchase is that you can add the adaptive cruise control after the fact, which was a must-have for me. This option saved me from having to buy the multimedia and advanced driving packages, which would have cost me a few thousand more. I found that the T5 drove better than the T6, as it was smoother and quieter but still had plenty of power. Although I would have liked the 4-wheel drive, I've had FWD Volvos in the snow in the past and they were fine. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase and I hope this advice helps you too!

I'm so happy I chose this vehicle over the 2020 Kia Stinger! I went with the S60 T8 R-Design and it's currently getting 52MPG while still having plenty of power. It may be smaller than the Stinger, but the ride and tech more than make up for it. Plus, I love that it can drive itself!

First, let me start by saying that I have been a Volvo driver since 1985. Recently, I replaced my Acura TLX with the S60 T6 Inscription and also got an XC60 Momentum as our second car. I absolutely love both cars, but my S60 holds a special place in my heart. The technology is fantastic, the ride is smooth, and the car itself is just amazing. What I appreciate most is that it stands out from the crowd and isn't like every other car on the road. It's moments like these that make me fall in love with Volvo all over again.

I purchased this car just two weeks ago, and unfortunately, I've already experienced some issues. During a long drive, I noticed that the steering wheel began to vibrate quite a bit, especially at speeds over 75 mph. After doing some research, I discovered that this is a common issue with even brand new Volvos, and it seems that the company is aware of the problem. Additionally, I had an issue with my front right parking sensors, which resulted in damage to my alloy wheel. While I understand that Volvo is known for their safety, these issues are concerning and have the potential to be a safety hazard. Despite these setbacks, I'm hopeful that Volvo will address these issues and improve their vehicles. As a customer, I'm disappointed with my purchase, but I'm optimistic that the company will work to make things right.

I have owned my T6 for a little over a year now and while there have been some issues, I am confident in the warranty and the ability to have them taken care of with little or no cost. Although I knew purchasing a Volvo would not equate into a performance-oriented drive, I am still satisfied with my purchase. While there may be some body roll and road noise, I find the car comfortable and quiet. I appreciate the sleek design and overall appearance of the car. While there have been some odd shifting habits between 40 and 50 mph, I am confident that these can be resolved. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase and look forward to enjoying it for years to come.

It's really frustrating to experience steering issues and vibrations, especially when it seems like the drive shafts are to blame. It's even more frustrating when you've gone through multiple sets of tires and still can't seem to get to the bottom of the problem.
