The Volvo S60 is a compact executive car manufactured and marketed by Volvo since 2000.

I've owned this car for almost two years now and I must say, I'm quite picky about my cars, but this one has exceeded my expectations. Here are some of the things I love about it: it's smooth on battery power, super quiet, and I can control it through the app. The stereo is excellent, thanks to Bowers & Wilkins, and the Apple CarPlay is a great feature. The 360-degree camera is pretty decent, although I've seen better in Infiniti cars. It's also fast and has excellent wheels, giving it a sporty look. There are a few cons, such as the transition from battery to gas being a little rough once in a while, but it's not always the case. The sunroof doesn't open too far, and I wish Apple CarPlay was wireless, which would be so convenient. As for my wishes, I'd rather have a wider screen since Waze and maps are too small. I also wish the 360 camera could come on automatically if driving forward and you get close to something (like in Infiniti cars). I wish I could make the 360 camera come on easier and quicker, and I'd love longer battery running ability since I love how smooth it is to drive on battery. Overall, I'm glad I bought this car and I'm surprised at how well it performs. My favorite thing about it is the way it looks on the outside; it's very good looking. It takes a lot for me to be satisfied with a car, but this one pretty much hits the mark! It's a very solid choice.

This car is absolutely luxurious with the Inscription option. I also love the Bowers & Wilkens stereo! Mine is fully loaded, so they don't sell many and if you see one on a lot, there's a lot of bargain room, because most people want the car, but they don't want to spend on options. I just adore the car, it has AWD, 360 degree camera, self parking, 1100 watt stereo, real wood on dash and console, sun roof, 19 inch tires.....I think I have every option available, and it was worth every penny. I got about 18% off list price for a brand new 2019. UPDATE: I bought a leftover 2019 in April of 2020, so I'm coming up on three years (in April) of ownership. I don't drive that much, and only have just short of 16,000 miles on it. I've owned hundreds of collector cars, and of course have to have a daily driver. I was a dealer for many years and happened to notice a Volvo at an auction. I hadn't owned one since the 80's, and I was shocked at how luxurious it was inside. I have only owned 3 brand new cars in 52 years. I buy them used. I happened to go to Volvo and on the showroom was a beautiful S60 that was loaded with every option. I bought it, and the quality to me is every bit as good as other high dollar sedans. Super sound system, nice leather interior, real wood trim, AWD. It's pretty fast, and I get 27.5 MPG which I think is outstanding for a heavy car like this. I haven't had any problems with it, but it does take awhile to learn how to operate all the bells and whistles. I highly recommend the car.

I have owned my T6 for a little over a year now and while there have been some issues, I am confident in the warranty and the ability to have them taken care of with little or no cost. Although I knew purchasing a Volvo would not equate into a performance-oriented drive, I am still satisfied with my purchase. While there may be some body roll and road noise, I find the car comfortable and quiet. I appreciate the sleek design and overall appearance of the car. While there have been some odd shifting habits between 40 and 50 mph, I am confident that these can be resolved. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase and look forward to enjoying it for years to come.

Hi! I recently purchased a Volvo S60 R Design, which is supposed to be top of the range. The dealers told me that the car would achieve 45-42 mpg on a run and 36-38 mpg in urban areas. However, I have noticed that the car is not performing as expected and is consuming a lot more fuel than advertised. It only returns 21 mpg around town and 26 mpg on a run! I have been back to the dealership twice, but unfortunately, I have not received a satisfactory response. I would advise you to stay away from this car as it is not worth the hassle and ongoing battles.

It's really frustrating to experience steering issues and vibrations, especially when it seems like the drive shafts are to blame. It's even more frustrating when you've gone through multiple sets of tires and still can't seem to get to the bottom of the problem. I was really excited about my S60. Before I share my ownership experience, I want to let you know that my car has been having some issues. It consumes a lot of gasoline, which is not acceptable for a car of this caliber. It only gets 15MPG in the city and 19MPG on the highway, and I've had to fill up 7 times in the past 1300 miles. Unfortunately, Volvo has not been responsive to my emails and calls after opening a complaint, which is disappointing. They even tried to blame my driving, which is adding insult to injury. I've been driving for 30 years and have had far better fuel economy on some huge engine gas guzzlers. I use Eco Drive and Comfort modes, drive mostly alone without load, on normal roads, in a flat area, at average weather/humidity and near sea level elevation. I'm not an aggressive driver. Moreover, this is a T5 FWD and I drove an AWD T6 loaner for a few days being aggressive on dynamic mode, I couldn't get it to take more than 22.4MPG/City. Speaking to other 2019 S60 drivers confirms my car is off. I deserve better than being ignored. So now, after 2 months of ownership, here's my review: The S60 is stunning inside and out, with great seats and lots of technology. However, there is a bit too much half-baked technology, and the ride comfort is average but a bit noisier than I would imagine. The ride is a bit lazy, the car is heavy and does not accelerate anywhere near its prescribed specs. It is annoyingly wide but this may reduce the roll. Assembly quality is a bit sloppy and there are some materials that seem very cheap. Vinyl seating (didn't opt for Napaleather) is not perforated and gets scorching hot in the summer and very sweat provoking. It's a bit disappointing as the seats have such superior support. The Sensus system is frankly annoying. Volvo is selling itself as the safety company but there is nothing safe about futzing with screen drama for every little thing. It takes about 12 clicks to switch to your favorite radio station and even changing the AC fan speed requires far too many clicks and focal attention.Driving without tactile feedback can be challenging, so it's important to stay focused or pull over if necessary. While Volvo's navigation system is available, many drivers prefer the convenience and advanced features of Google Maps or Waze, which are also free. If you do opt for Volvo's navigation, be aware that a significant portion of the screen may be dedicated to service announcements. While the car does come with many advanced features, such as touchscreen-activated folding rear headrests, some basic features like fog lights may require an additional purchase. Safety is always a top priority, and it's important to note that the car has experienced some glitches with CarPlay, windows opening unexpectedly, and false alerts from the OnCall app. However, these issues have been addressed through recalls and updates. Overall, the car's design is stunning, but some users have experienced quality issues. It's important to note that Volvo takes safety seriously and is committed to addressing any concerns that arise.

I was considering purchasing the 2019/2020 Volvo S60 and decided to rent one for 2 weeks to test it out. Unfortunately, my experience was not great. While the engine and drivetrain were good, the car had some serious ergonomic issues. The driveshaft tunnel was too high and there was very limited storage space. The touchscreen menus were frustrating and the car only had one USB port, which is not acceptable for a luxury car. Additionally, the seating position was uncomfortable and the poor visibility was a safety concern. The trunk space was also limited, which made packing for a family trip challenging. During my rental, I experienced some issues with the car's workmanship and design. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience, especially since I used to own a Volvo 960.The transmission went out one day and the quote to fix it was $3500. After putting in a reconditioned transmission for $2200, I decided to sell. Unfortunately, I was disappointed that Volvo's quality had not improved in the last 20 years. Needless to say, I will not be buying, leasing, or recommending any Volvo in the future. It's just not worth the headache, frustration, and money.
