NO ERRORS WERE REPORTED WHEN THE CAR STARTED, BUT THE WHEEL LOCKED (AND AN ERROR WAS DISPLAYED) AFTER THE CAR WAS IN MOTION. SHE STOPPED THE VEHICLE WHEN SHE WAS UNABLE TO TURN THE WHEEL. SHE WAS THEN ABLE TO PUT THE CAR INTO DRIVE AND MOVE BACK TO HER PREVIOUS POSITION. CLEARLY A SAFETY SENSOR DID NOT DO ITS JOB. LEADING UP TO THIS EVENT WE HAVE HAD OCCASIONAL INCIDENTS WHERE THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT UNLOCK AFTER ENTERING THE KEY. LIGHTLY MOVING THE WHEEL SIDE TO SIDE AND REPEATED KEY ENTRIES WOULD RESOLVE THE ISSUE. A MOTOR NOW RUNS IN THE STEERING COLUMN WHEN TRYING TO UNLOCK THE WHEEL. THIS IS A DIFFERENT SOUND THEN WE EXPERIENCED WHEN THE ISSUE COULD BE RESOLVED. I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS INCIDENT BECAUSE THE LOCKUP OCCURRED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO NOTIFIED THE CONTACT THAT THEY NEEDED TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP AND PERFORMED THE REPAIRS; HOWEVER, THE REPAIR DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE LOCAL MECHANIC STATED THAT THEY NEEDED TO REPLACE THE PUMP ELECTRIC MODULE AND THE VEHICLE WAS AWAITING REPAIRS. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 105,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000.

    I've only had the car for two days, but everything has been excellent so far. The paint, trim, fit and finish are great. After driving 150 miles, the motor seems to be loosening up nicely and is very smooth and quiet. The acceleration is smooth and strong, and even in rainy weather, I've never felt so secure driving a new car. The transmission is incredibly smooth, and the stereo is nice with an inventive design. It's really unique! This car is both safe and aggressive, all rolled into one.

    I recently purchased the new T5 for my wife and I have to say, it is a pretty cool car. We traded in an Audi A4 3.0 and, to tell you the truth, I like the Volvo better. The overall look and feel of the car is great. It handles the road well and has great pick up. So far, the only issue I have with it is that when storing two specific stations in memory, they sometimes like to revert back to one another. However, Volvo is aware of it and they are awaiting a software fix. But I do have to say, the Dolby Prologic surround sound system is worth the upgrade. It sounds great!
