The Tesla Model Y is a battery electric mid-size crossover SUV produced by Tesla, Inc. since 2020. The vehicle was presented in March 2019 as the company's fifth production model since its inception after the Roadster, Model S, Model X and Model 3.

Great to hear that you're enjoying your car! After your first 2 months and nearly 2,000 miles, it's impressive how much you're loving it. The seats are amazing, the car is nearly silent, and the power is uncanny. Commuting over 100 miles round trip every day can be tiring, but this car makes it almost enjoyable. The standard autopilot system is very relaxing to use, and it works so well that the full self-driving option may not be necessary. Although the center display focused controls are a bit odd, it's great to hear that you're getting used to the minimalist approach. The sound system is excellent, although it would be even better if CarPlay was included. The car is roomy, well screwed together, and best of all, no stops for gas!

I'm already into week two with my new Tesla Model Y - Long Range and I must say, it's a winner! I'd give it 4-4.5 stars because of some notable absences, but more on that below. The buying process was a breeze and taking delivery was faster than gassing up my other vehicle. The build quality is excellent, with no issues to report. I find it very comfortable to drive and the size is just right. Acceleration is more than adequate, and while I'd rather have the additional 25 miles of range than the 3.6 second 0-60 acceleration, 4.8 seconds from 0-60 is fine for me. There are loads of after-market add-ons available, and the handling is great. I love the one-pedal driving, and I bought this car as a hedge against expensive gas or none at all. Range anxiety was something I worried about, but home charging takes care of that. It's nice not to have to drive to a gas station, although I suppose living in a condo or apartment would not be as great. In preparation for our annual long trips, I simulated what it would be like charging on the road from the Tesla website. Unlike some other networks, Tesla has Superchargers all over the place, and where there is a gap, there is an EA site, so I got a CCS to Tesla adaptor. So, a 21-hour trip by a gas BMW will now be a 23-hour trip by Tesla. Bye-bye range anxiety! I love the tech; it's intuitive, but some might find it daunting. Doing everything via the Tesla app is a big step forward. Now, for the shortcomings: there's no HUD, no Sirius X-M, no cooled seats, no Apple Carplay, and no mini dash directly in front of the driver. But the Tesla music bundle is fine, so I'm okay without Sirius-XM. However, it gets hot here in Florida, and I sure would like ventilated seats. So, I'm managing without these, but I hope Elon gets the message. I thought of the Model's S and X, but the price increase was daunting, as was the absence of a gear shift lever and directional signal stalk. Forward-looking tech can go too far. But overall, I love it and am pleased with the purchase. I would unreservedly recommend it!

I've been driving my Model Y Performance for a year now, and it has been an incredible experience. From a 4400 mile road trip to daily commutes, this car has exceeded my expectations. It's a pleasure to drive, and with the FSD subscription, it's becoming more capable every day. I can confidently say that I'll never go back to a gas car, and I'm seriously considering sticking with Tesla for the foreseeable future. If you haven't had the chance to drive one yet, I highly recommend giving it a try. You won't regret it!

I recently took possession of my new Long Range Model Y on 10/11/22, which was manufactured at the Giga Factory in Austin, Texas. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of my new Tesla. The panel gaps are excellent, there are no rattles while driving, and to date, I have had no issues. In fact, I can confidently say that this car is even better than the Lexus RX that I previously owned. Despite some negative reviews, my experience with the Model Y has been nothing but positive. In the four months since owning it, I have not encountered any imperfections, mechanical or electrical issues with the interior or exterior. Having owned several vehicles that cost more than my Tesla, including Lexus models, I can say without a doubt that the Model Y is the best car I have ever owned. If you are considering a new car, I highly recommend this vehicle.

I've owned this car for two years and have had a few minor issues that I was able to fix at home. Although I have other cars, my family and I tend to gravitate towards driving this one. There has been a lot of buzz around Tesla lately, and it seems that Edmunds' ratings have been affected by this hype. It appears that they have intentionally lowered the rating of other cars to boost Tesla's rating. For instance, the Model Y has a much larger storage capacity than the BMW ix, yet the Tesla only received an 8 rating while the BMW received an 8.5. Really? Additionally, it's unreasonable to continue to complain about the lack of Apple CarPlay when Tesla's system offers better options and visualizations.

We were excited about the idea of owning an electric vehicle and decided to go all-in with a Tesla. We opted for the Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature, but unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to our expectations. We found out that the feature couldn't be used at night due to the interior camera monitoring the driver's alertness, which was a bit disappointing. However, we understand that safety is a top priority. We did experience some phantom braking, which was a bit scary, but overall, the Model Y was a great car. We eventually decided to trade it in due to the issues mentioned above, as well as our love for spontaneous off-road trips, which made charging a bit of a challenge.

My Tesla Model Y Performance has experienced several issues, including paint problems, rattling noises, issues with doors, noisy brakes and suspension, a leaking trunk and frunk, and a problem with the windshield. I recently purchased a Model Y for $71,800. Unfortunately, on the first day, we noticed that the AC wasn't working properly. By the second day, it had completely stopped working and displayed a message indicating that it required servicing. When I contacted customer service, they confirmed that it needed to be serviced, but unfortunately, they were unable to schedule an appointment for over a week. Additionally, I was hoping to pair my garage door remote, but was informed that I needed to purchase Homelink for an additional $377. I also needed a charger to plug into my home outlet, but was disappointed to learn that it no longer comes with the vehicle. I had to order it separately, and it still has not shipped. Overall, I'm a bit frustrated with these issues, but I'm hopeful that they will be resolved soon.

I recently purchased my third Tesla, a 2022 Model Y, after previously owning a 2016 Model S and a 2019 Model X. While I have experienced some challenges with the semi-driverless and self-parking features not being included and the Key FOB being an additional cost, I have found the overall experience to be positive. Although using the phone as a key can be inconvenient and the physical key can be difficult to use, I am confident that these minor issues can be resolved. While I have considered exploring other options such as the Cadillac Lyric, I remain a loyal Tesla customer and look forward to future innovations.
