Suzuki Verona 2004 problems
The Daewoo Magnus is a mid-sized sedan developed and manufactured by Daewoo for model years 2000-2006 under a single generation, and marketed globably by GM Daewoo and other General Motors divisions, as well as GMDAT stake holder Suzuki. Developed under its internal Daewoo designation V200, the Magnus was marketed prominently in the United States as the Suzuki Verona.
The V200 is a successor to the Daewoo Leganza (model V100), used a larger chassis of its platform. Launched in 23 November, it was sold alongside the Leganza in Korea until the end of V100's production in 2002, when it also superseded it in export markets. The V200 itself was given an extensive facelift for 2006, which resulted in the model known as V250, or Daewoo Tosca in Korea. The V250 completely superseded all versions of the V200 during 2006.
The Evanda comes equipped with the Daewoo-developed XK6 inline-6 engine (DOHC 24V, 155 hp (116 kW) at 5800 rpm, 177 lb⋅ft (240 N⋅m) of torque at 4000 rpm – Canadian specification) or a Holden-built 2.0 L D-TEC inline-4 (DOHC 16V) carried over from the Leganza. ItalDesign of Italy was responsible for the styling and design of both the Leganza and Magnus. However, the upcoming V250 was styled in Korea by GM Daewoo.

I FEEL, AFTER ALL THESE TESTIMONIALS, THAT GM SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE. AFTER ALL, THE DOOR TAG SAYS THAT IT'S A GM DAEWOO VEHICLE. JUST BECAUSE IT HAS A SUZUKI GRILLE, DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING. ALL OF THESE CARS NEED TO BE SCRAPPED AND THE OWNERS PROPERLY COMPENSATED.. *TR

THIS LED TO THE VEHICLE BEING IN FOR THE SAME ISSUE AT LEAST A HALF DOZEN TIMES AFTER THE INITIAL REPAIR. SUZUKI CONTINUED TO APPROVE PARTIAL REPAIRS, BUT NEVER APPROVED THE COMPLETE REPAIR OF THE ISSUE. THIS RESULTED IN A RECURRENCE AS RECENTLY JUNE OF 2010, AND ONCE AGAIN PARTIAL REPAIRS WERE APPROVED. ONCE THE VEHICLE PASSED THE 100,000 MARK IN SEPTEMBER, THE ISSUE OCCURRED AGAIN, BUT SUZUKI REFUSED ANY RESPONSIBILITY TO FURTHER ADDRESS THE ISSUE WHICH LEFT THE VEHICLE UN-DRIVABLE. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT 102,000 MILES AND SUZUKI HAS FAILED TO EVER CORRECT THE ISSUE, BUT NOW WILL DO NOTHING BECAUSE THE VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY. SUZUKI CONTINUED TO MAKE PARTIAL REPAIRS TO MY VEHICLE ALTHOUGH THEY REALIZED THAT THEIR EFFORTS WERE FAILING TO CORRECT THE ISSUE, AND BEGAN TO DO FULL ENGINE REPLACEMENTS OF OTHER VERONAS WITH THE SAME ISSUE. *TR

I really enjoy this car, although the back seats could be more comfortable. Unfortunately, the seatbelts are positioned in a way that can be uncomfortable for passengers. However, since I don't often have back seat passengers, it's not a major concern for me.
-
This car has it all! The interior is spectacular. It's super quiet, comfortable, and has an awesome ride. The vehicle's construction is superior to what I have seen lately, and the price fully loaded is only $19,900. Can you believe it? This car looks and drives like a $50,000 luxury car. And the best part? It's a Suzuki! What a great value!
-
After my back surgery, I needed to trade in my truck for something more comfortable and affordable to drive. As a married person with no kids, I was originally interested in a used 2-door Pontiac Grand Prix. However, I'm so grateful that the sales staff introduced me to this fantastic car! The EX model is perfect for my budget and my back!
-
You've got yourself a very well put together vehicle that's roomy, comfortable, and best of all, much less expensive than a Honda or Toyota. Plus, it comes with a better warranty!
-
You made a great choice by choosing this car! It's clear that you did your research and found the best value for your money. The engine has a great sound and really gets going, especially at 80 miles per hour. The interior finishing is superb, especially with the walnut and silver trim. The extra attention to finer details really makes this car stand out as a great choice.

It's a nice looking car that rides well, but unfortunately it lacks power and the transmission shifts too soon, which can cause abrupt downshifts and potential loss of control. The car has been back twice for a new computer, and while it has improved, it still doesn't feel quite right. It's essentially a Daewoo under a different name.

The Verona's drive is decent and it has a fair fuel economy. However, the back seat is uncomfortable and the paint job fades too quickly, even with routine detailing. Unfortunately, I have had to take this car to the shop at least once a week every month for the last four months due to a blown engine (2.5 weeks), two water pumps (at least one week, still in the shop for the second one), and AC problems (one week for diagnosis), which the dealer has been unable to solve. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to deal with this? Just kidding. I don't think I'll be purchasing another Suzuki in the future!

I bought this car a little over a year ago, after previously owning a Grand Vitara and an XL-7. It's a beautiful car and you definitely get a lot for your money. However, there have been some issues with it since it was a brand-new model in 2004. Before making a purchase, I recommend visiting the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website to read all the complaints on this vehicle. The dealership I've dealt with has been very nice, but unfortunately, there's no resolution for the problem. Suzuki needs to take action! We're in the process of starting the lemon law procedures...
