The Subaru Impreza (Japanese: スバル・インプレッサ, Hepburn: Subaru Inpuressa) is a compact car that has been manufactured by the Japanese automaker Subaru since 1992. It was introduced as a replacement for the Leone, with the predecessor's EA series engines replaced by the new EJ series. It is now in its sixth generation.

Subaru has offered a 5-door hatchback body variant since 2008. The firm also offered a coupé from 1995 until 2001, a 4-door sedan up to the fifth generation, and a 5-door wagon from the Impreza's introduction which was replaced by a hatchback with the third generation in 2008. Mainstream versions have received "boxer" flat-four engines ranging from 1.5- to 2.5-liters, with the performance-oriented Impreza WRX and WRX STI models upgraded with the addition of turbochargers. Since the third generation series, some markets have adopted the abbreviated Subaru WRX name for these high-performance variants. The first three generations of Impreza were also available with an off-road appearance non-SUV package called the Outback Sport, exclusive to the North American market. For the fourth generation, this appearance package was raised up to be subcompact crossover SUV and renamed the XV (Crosstrek in North America), and is sold internationally. Colloquially, the car is sometimes referred to as Scooby.

Subaru has offered front- and all-wheel drive layouts for the Impreza. Since the late-1990s, some markets have restricted sales to the all-wheel drive model, putting the Impreza in a unique selling proposition in the global compact class, which is usually characterized by front-wheel drive. Japanese models remain available in both configurations.

A 2019 iSeeCars study named the Impreza as the lowest-depreciating sedan in the United States after five years.

Common 2004 Subaru Impreza problems

The Subaru Impreza 2004 model is known for several common problems, primarily related to the suspension, gearbox, brakes, steering rack bushes, and engine.

  • Gearbox problems: There is a well-known fault with the gearbox system in the Subaru Impreza, particularly when shifting between 2nd and 3rd gear. If you feel a crunching sensation accompanied by a knocking sound, the most likely cause is a problem with the synchromesh system, which could lead to serious transmission issues.
  • Brake problems: The brakes on the Subaru Impreza are under-specified, leading to longer braking distances and poor response from the brake pedal. This issue may require replacing the brake kit on both sides of the front of the car.
  • Steering rack bush issues: A known fault with the steering rack bushes in the 2004 Subaru Impreza can cause sloppy handling and poor control during turning. It is essential to drive the car through corners, especially on slower roads, to make the problem more pronounced and check the service history to ensure that the timing belt, water pump, and tensioner have been replaced after 125,000 miles.
  • Engine problems: Older Imprezas, including the 2004 model, have had problems with using up more engine oil than normal. This issue can be fixed by replacing the piston rings and rod bearings to eliminate leaks. Subaru Imprezas built before 2011, including the 2004 model, may need to replace their engine's head gaskets multiple times once they reach 100,000 miles. An aftermarket head gasket set can cost between $100 and $200, with labor costs pushing the repair price to roughly $2,000.
  • Black smoke from exhaust: If you skip an oil change, the 2004 Subaru Impreza (turbocharged models) can become unforgiving, with oil sludge and muck building up quickly. This can lead to a blocked oil filter and catastrophic failure across multiple parts. In most cases, you will have to order a new oil filter from the parts page for the Impreza.

These common problems, if left unaddressed, can lead to more severe issues and higher repair costs. Therefore, it is crucial to be aware of these potential problems when considering purchasing a 2004 Subaru Impreza.

FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE PROBLEM

  • Date Of Incident: 2023-03-13
  • VIN: JF1GD706X4L
  • Components: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE
  • Summary: The contact owns a 2004 Subaru Impreza. The contact stated that while driving at 65 MPH, the vehicle stalled, and the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with an unknown code for the throttle body. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 162,000.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM PROBLEM

  • Date Of Incident: 2022-10-21
  • VIN: JF1GD70624L
  • Components: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
  • Summary: There is a recall for fuel lines for MY2002-2003 Imprezas and the issue was resolved or a fix was implemented on late MY2004 vehicles. Unfortunately this means early MY2004 vehicles are still impacted by the issue with no recall in place. During cold weather or during cold engine startup fuel lines are prone to leaking onto cylinder head. Raw fuel can be observed dripping, and can be smelled in the engine bay and inside of the vehicle. This poses a fire risk during vehicle operation and the MY2002-2003 recall should be extended to MY2004 vehicles built prior to August 2003.

  • Summary: The contact owns a 2004 Subaru Impreza. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 15V323000 (Air Bags) and 11V464000 (Suspension) however, the parts to do the recall repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The dealer informed the contact that NHTSA Campaign Number: 11V464000 (Suspension) could not be completed due to excessive corrosion. The approximate failure mileage was 191,000. Parts distributions disconnect.

AIR BAGS PROBLEM

  • Date Of Incident: 2022-05-03
  • VIN: JF1GD70674L
  • Components: AIR BAGS
  • Summary: I have already visited my local Subaru dealer to remedy this recall. I have a physical invoice as proof that my vehicle was inspected & already has the correct air bag installed. I have called the recall line (855-371-5406) MANY times & no matter who I speak to the recall does not clear despite me informing them I have already completed the repair. All representatives say the same thing claiming they will "take care of it or speak to a manager" & telling me to wait so it clears on its own over time. It has now been almost 2 years since my visit & I am still receiving an excessive amount of notices. The vehicle works as it should 100% with no issues.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM PROBLEM

  • Date Of Incident: 2017-12-01
  • VIN: JF1GG29614G
  • Components: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
  • Summary: Rubber fuel lines under the intake manifold leak fuel when the temperature falls below 40 degrees F. The smell permeates the cabin and fuel can be seen wetting nearby surfaces under the intake. An inspection can be performed. This represents a fire safety hazard that could occur while the vehicle is in motion, jeopardizing all surrounding traffic. The problem is widely noted on Subaru internet forums, but only a recall for 2002-2003 models has been reported. My car is a very early 2004, so it shares traits of the 2003 engines. There are no warning lamps or notifications, only the smell of raw gas when the car starts and is in motion in winter temperatures. This has happened repeatedly since the issue first occurred, so I avoid driving this vehicle if at all possible.

SUSPENSION PROBLEM

  • Date Of Incident: 2021-07-13
  • VIN: JF1GG29604G
  • Components: SUSPENSION
  • Summary: The passenger side lower control arm failed due to corrosion. There was a previous recall to address this issue with an anti corrosion coating, but it did not prevent the control arm from corroding and failing. I had this addressed at the dealer, and they mentioned the issue was addressed. Recall NHTSA Campaign Number: 11V464000

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM PROBLEM

  • Date Of Incident: 2016-12-03
  • VIN: JF1GD29684G
  • Components: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
  • Summary: THERE IS A STRONG FUEL/GASOLINE SMELL COMING THRU THE AIR VENTS FROM THE ENGINE WHEN THE TEMPERATURE GOES UNDER 30-25 DEGREES FARENHEIT. I'VE CHECKED UNDER THE HOOD AND THERE IS TWO FUEL HOSES THAT START LEAKING WHEN IT GETS COLD OUTSIDE. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING EVERY WINTER SINCE I GOT MY CAR BACK IN 2016. I HAD THE CLAMPS ON THE HOSES RETIGHTENED BY A SUBARU DEALERSHIP BUT THAT DIDN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM. I'M WRITING THIS COMPLAINT BECAUSE THERE IS AN OPEN RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE ON THE 2002 AND 2003 WRX, BUT NOT ON THE LATER MODELS. THERE'S MANY PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET WITH THE SAME ISSUE AND IT SEEMS TO BE HAPPENING TO OTHER YEARS OF WRX AND EVEN OTHER MODELS OF SUBARU. IT'S REALLY STRESSFUL AND ANNOYING HAVING THE STRONG SMELL OF FUEL COMING IN TO YOUR CAR. ALSO IT'S A FIRE HAZARD HAVING GASOLINE POOLING UP ON THE ENGINE BLOCK. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN KNOWN TO SUBARU OF AMERICA BUT THEY ONLY TOOK CARE OF THE 2002 AND 2003 WRX MODELS. I'M HOPING THIS CAN SOMEHOW HELP OTHER SUBARU OWNERS GET THIS PROBLEM FIXED AS IT CAN BE SOMETHING THAT COULD END UP GETTING WORST.

SERVICE BRAKES PROBLEM

  • Date Of Incident: 2020-04-30
  • VIN: JF1GD29654G
  • Components: SERVICE BRAKES
  • Summary: SIMILAR TO RECALL CAMPAIGN #WQK-47 THE HARD BRAKE LINE NEAR MY GAS TANK HAS CORRODED AND LEAKED ALL OF MY BRAKE FLUID. HAD I BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY THIS COULD HAVE BEEN CATASTROPHIC. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, I NOTICED THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS TRAVELING FARTHER THAN NORMAL. WHEN I GOT HOME, THERE WAS ALMOST NO BRAKING ABILITY LEFT IN THE CAR, PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. CHECKED MASTER CYLINDER, IT WAS EMPTY, ADDED FLUID, PRESSED ON BRAKES, COULD HEAR THE FLUID LEAKING OUT. CHECKED AROUND CAR TO FIND FLUID. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM ON SUBARU'S AND THERE IS A RECALL FOR NEWER WRX'S FOR THE SAME ISSUE.

  • Components: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
  • Summary: I ARRIVED AT A GAS STATION WHERE I FILLED UP MY SUBARU IMPREZA RS 2.5L WITH 87 UNLEADED MID GRADE FUEL AND FROM THAT POINT ON STILL TILL TODAY MY VEHICLE HAS HAS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON, WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONER IS TURNED ON AND I'M GOING 55 MPH OR HIGHER GASOLINE CAN BE SMELLED WITHIN THE VEHICLE. WHEN REFUELING THE GAS PUMP CONTINOUSLY STOPS AS IF THE FUEL CHAMBER IS FULL. AFTER REFUELING THE VEHICLE FAILS TO TURN OVER OR STAGGERS WEAKLY TO START.
2019-02-06

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM PROBLEM

  • Date Of Incident: 2019-02-06
  • VIN: JF1GD29644H
  • Components: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
  • Summary: TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 SUBARU IMPREZA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. ALSO, WHEN THE CONTACT FILLED UP THE FUEL TANK, THERE WAS A STRONG ODOR INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ALSO LOCATED FUEL INSIDE THE VEHICLE ON THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PAUL MILLER SUBARU (3469 US-46, PARSIPANNY, NJ) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT FUEL WAS LEAKING FROM ALL THE FUEL LINES UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
2018-04-24

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM PROBLEM

  • Date Of Incident: 2018-03-10
  • Components: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
  • Summary: DRIVER SIDE FUEL LINE THAT IS CONNECTED TO THE FUEL RAIL UNDERNEATH THE TURBO INLET HOSE LEAKS GAS. THE SMELL IS VERY NOTICEABLE AND I'M PRETTY SURE IT'S DANGEROUS SINCE IT COULD CAUSE AN ENGINE FIRE.
2018-01-09

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM PROBLEM

  • Date Of Incident: 2018-01-07
  • VIN: JF1GG29604G
  • Components: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
  • Summary: DURING COLD WEATHER A STRONG SMELL OF FUEL CAN BE DETECTED COMING FROM THE ENGINE BAY WHILE BOTH MOVING AND STATIONARY. THIS PROBLEM ONLY OCCURS DURING COLDER WEATHER.
2017-12-27

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM PROBLEM

  • Date Of Incident: 2017-12-27
  • VIN: JF1GD29694G
  • Components: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
  • Summary: DURING THE PAST 8+ WINTERS, THERE IS A STRONG FUEL SMELL. I'VE CALLED SUBARU OF AMERICA AND THEY SAID THAT ONLY THE TWO PREVIOUS MODELS WERE RECALLED FOR THIS PROBLEM. ACCORDING TO MY RESARCH, IT SOUNDS LIKE THIS PROBLEM PERSISTS WITH MANY SUBARU MODELS. I'VE BEEN ABLE TO CLOSE THE AIR VENTS TO KEEP THE SMELL OUT IN PREVIOUS YEARS. TODAY, WHITE SMOKE STARTED TO COME OUT OF MY HOOD WHILE DRIVING AND STATIONARY. THE TEMPERATURE IS IN THE SINGLE NEGATIVE DIGITS.I BELIEVE THERE IS NOW ENOUGH FUEL LEAKAGE ONTO THE MANIFOLD THAT IT IS STARTING THE SMOKE.
2017-10-05

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM PROBLEM

  • Date Of Incident: 2017-09-15
  • VIN: JF1GG296X4H
  • Components: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
  • Summary: IT RECENTLY BEEN COLD IN COLORADO AND NOW I HAVE THIS RAW FUEL SMELL IN CABIN DURING COLD WEATHER. FUEL LINE LEAKING COMING FROM THE RUBBER HOSE CONNECTOR LOCATED UNDER THE INTAKE MANIFOLD, BETWEEN TWO DIRECT FEED LINE TO THE INJECTOR.
2017-08-18

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM PROBLEM

  • Date Of Incident: 2015-01-01
  • VIN: JF1GD29624H
  • Components: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
  • Summary: UNDER COLD CONDITIONS (40F OR LESS) THE RUBBER FUEL RAILS WILL CONTRACT UNDER THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND WILL SLOWLY LEAK GASOLINE CAUSING AN OVERWHELMING SMELL AND POSSIBILITY FOR A FIRE. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS BOTH STATIONARY AND UNDER MOTION. THIS PROBLEM WAS ACKNOWLEDGED IN THE YEAR 2009 FOR THE 2002-2003 YEAR MODELS FOR THE SUBARU IMPREZA WRX AND A RECALL WAS ENACTED. HOWEVER, THIS RECALL DID NOT INCLUDE THE 2004-2005 MODELS EVEN THOUGH THE SAME ENGINE WITH THE SAME FUEL RAILS WERE USED. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN CONSISTENT AND PREDICTABLE FOR THE 3 WINTERS THAT I HAVE OWNED THE CAR. I HAVE ALSO HEARD FROM OTHERS WITH THE SAME YEAR CAR THAT THEY ARE HAVING SIMILAR PROBLEMS. THE PICTURES I INCLUDED SHOW THE SCREW THAT CLAMPS THE RUBBER HOSES. THE GAS LEAKS AT THIS CONNECTING POINT BUT IT WAS HARD TO GET A PICTURE OF THE ACTUAL HOSES. I HAVE CONTACTED SUBARU OF AMERICA AND THEY DIRECTED ME TO BRING THIS UP WITH NHTSA. THANK YOU!

SUSPENSION PROBLEM

  • Date Of Incident: 2017-04-26
  • VIN: JF1GG65594G
  • Components: SUSPENSION
  • Summary: WHILE DRIVING AT ABOUT 30 MPH, THE CAR BEGAN TO SHAKE UNCONTROLLABLY. UPON INSPECTION OF THE FRONT END I SAW THAT THE LOWER SUSPENSION ARM HAD CRACKED.
2017-02-06

SUSPENSION PROBLEM

  • Date Of Incident: 2017-02-01
  • VIN: JF1GG29664G
  • Components: SUSPENSION
  • Summary: DEALER CLAIMS TO HAVE PROPERLY PERFORMED A RECALL REPAIR, BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTS I OWN A 2004 SUBARU IMPREZA. THERE IS A RECALL ON THE FRONT SUSPENSION FOR A SEVERE CORROSION ISSUE. I BROUGHT MY CAR IN TO HADDAD SUBARU FOR THE RECALL SERVICE IN 2011 I WAS RECENTLY INFORMED BY MY MECHANIC (NOT DEALER MECHANIC) THAT THE SUSPENSION IS DANGEROUSLY CORRODED AND IT "DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED ON THIS CAR." I HAD THIS OPINION CONFIRMED A SECOND MECHANIC. I RAISED THIS ISSUE WITH HADDAD SUBARU. THEY CONFIRM THE SUSPENSION IS DANGEROUSLY CORRODED, BUT WILL NOT REPLACE IT WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION FROM SUBARU I RAISED THIS ISSUE WITH SUBARU AMERICA AND THEY STATE THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED PREVIOUSLY BY HADAD SUBARU AND THEY HAVE NO FURTHER RESPONSIBILITY TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE. I AM DUBIOUS THE RECALL REPAIR WAS CORRECTLY PERFORMED BY HADAD SUBARU IN 2011 AND THAT IS WHY THERE IS A PROBLEM NOW. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE, SO I HAVE FIXED IT MYSELF FOR NEARLY $1,000

SUSPENSION PROBLEM

  • Date Of Incident: 2016-03-08
  • VIN: JF1GG68524H
  • Components: SUSPENSION
  • Summary: LOWER CONTROL ARM FAILED CAUSING A COMPLETE LOSS OF STEERING DUE TO RUST.CAR WAS STARTING OUT JUST AFTER TRAFFIC LIGHT TURNED GREEN SO A VERY SLOW SPEED.THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE IF I WAS TRAVELING AT A FASTER SPEED. CAR WAS PREVIOUSLY RECALLED FOR THIS SAME ISSUE AND THE REPAIR WAS TO INSPECT AND SPRAY RUST PROOFING ON LOWER CONTROL ARMS. THIS WAS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE REPAIR AS IT FAILED ANYWAY. I HAVE A 2006 SAME MAKE AND MODEL WITH THE SAME RECALL AND IT WAS SPRAYED WITH RUST PROOFING. I EXPECT IT WILL FAIL ALSO IF SOMETHING MORE IS NOT DONE LIKE REPLACING THEM. SO FAR DEALER REFUSES TO REPLACE THEM.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM PROBLEM

  • Date Of Incident: 2015-12-01
  • VIN: JF1GD29614H
  • Components: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
  • Summary: PLEASE NOTE THAT RECALLS HAVE BEEN DONE FOR THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM ON THE 2002 & 2003 SUBARU IMPREZA MODELS, BUT NOT THE 2004. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PARKED OR BEING DRIVEN IN COLDER TEMPERATURES (BELOW 45 DEGREES), THE FUEL HOSE CONSTRICTS CAUSING FUEL TO SPILL OUT ONTO THE INTAKE MANIFOLD & THE ENGINE TO HEAVILY SMOKE. DURING WARMER TEMPERATURES, THE VEHICLE DOES NOT SMOKE BUT THERE IS STILL A STRONG SMELL OF GASOLINE IN THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT. THE FUEL HOSES ARE INTACT WITH NO CRACKS OR BREAKS OF ANY KIND. I HAVE FOUND HUNDREDS OF OTHER 2004 MODEL CONSUMER'S WITH THE SAME ISSUE. I HAVE ATTACHED A COPY OF ONE OF THE FORUM'S FOR YOUR REFERENCE. I HAVE CALLED SUBARU OF AMERICA REGARDING THIS, BUT HAVE BEEN TOLD MY CLAIM IS NOT VALID BECAUSE THE VEHICLE HASN'T HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE. I EXPLAINED THAT THE VEHICLE HADN'T LIVED IN COLDER TEMPERATURES UNTIL WE BOUGHT IT. STILL NO HELP. THIS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO CAUSE AN ENGINE FIRE AND POSES A HUGE SAFETY RISK. PLEASE HELP!

(Subaru) is recalling certain 2009-2013 Forester, 2003-2006 Baja, 2004-2011 Impreza, 2004-2014 WRX (STI included), 2003-2014 Legacy and Outback, and 2005-2006 Saab 9-2X vehicles originally sold, or ever registered, in the states of Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands (Saipan), and the U.S. Virgin Islands or "Zone A." These vehicles had their passenger frontal air bag inflators previously replaced under a prior recall using inflators of the same design. The inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, temperature and temperature cycling.
  • Consequence: An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
  • Remedy: Subaru will notify their owners. General Motors will notify Saab owners. Dealers will replace the passenger air bag inflators with alternate inflators, free of charge. The recall began January 7, 2020. Subaru Owners may contact Subaru customer service at 1-844-373-6614. Saab owners may contact the Saab Customer Assistance Center at 1-800-955-9007. Subaru's number for this recall is TKA-20.

Negative 2004 Subaru Impreza car reviews

If you're looking for a smooth-driving AWD car, the 2.5RS is a great option. However, if you're after both AWD and power, the WRX STi is the way to go. In poor weather, any Impreza model is a blast to drive thanks to the AWD system. It's worth noting that the WRX 2L turbo engine can be less responsive than expected, which may be frustrating in normal traffic. You may experience a delay of around a second and a half after going WOT before the ECU allows the turbo to make full boost and the car gets moving. Additionally, the car may struggle to get going at any rpm below 3K. It's also worth noting that first gear boost is limited to 7psi, so off-the-line starts may not be as quick as you expect.

Positive 2004 Subaru Impreza car reviews

I've owned about 8 cars from different manufacturers, but this is by far the best one. With intake and exhaust, I've gotten as high as 33 mpg on the highway. The seats are incredibly comfortable and adjustable, making it a great touring car. I've taken it on several cross-country trips and they were all fantastic. The interior is very spacious, and I've even managed to fit a full-size wooden-framed futon in the back before. It's perfect for camping and hauling a lot of gear up and down mountains. The wagon handles great with 235mm summer tires and performs amazingly with snow tires. The cabin is built very nicely, with no rattles or trim problems. I can't wait to own more Subarus!

Hi there! I recently traded in my 2002 WRX for this amazing car and I'm loving it! The engine is absolutely fantastic and the midrange torque is so much fun to feel. The brakes are also fantastic and the transmission is super smooth with triple synchros in second and two in first and third. I've driven an evo before and while it's impressive, the STI's engine is just on another level. It's really no comparison when it comes to the driving experience. The only downside is that the seats could be better, but I'm sure the STI would be near the top of all cars tested if it had proper seats that keep you planted. Thanks for reading!

After flipping cars every 6 months for the past 2 years, I think I've finally found the perfect balance of everything! This car has plenty of room, handles great, and gets fantastic gas mileage. The boxer engine is a real gem - it loves to rev and roll! The 2.5L engine has plenty of power and torque, gets better gas mileage than the 2.0L blown version, and costs about half as much to insure. If you're looking for a car with handling, convenience, and character to spare, then this is the one for you! Skip the WRX and 9.2X, and check this one out - you won't be disappointed!

  4. Louie Wintheiser 2024-11-15

After almost 2 years and 40,000 miles, I still absolutely love it! I'm happy to report that there have been no major issues, just a couple of minor ones like the fog lights burning out at 20k and the brake light on the spoiler getting water in it and burning out at 30k. The fuel economy is great - it's increased to 33hwy, 29 city all on regular! Other than that, just routine maintenance, and it still looks and feels like the day I drove it off the lot - minus the stone chips from old man winter! :(

  5. Giovani Gislason 2024-11-12

This car is a blast to drive! It's surprisingly fast for a 4-cylinder and handles beautifully. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a speedy car that's also practical for someone with kids.
