I hooked up the diagnostic code scanner on the car and it threw several different codes PO700, PO752, PO420. There are specific transmission issues with this particular year, make, and model. My car has the exact same symptoms as the others that were recalled so why has mine not been recalled as well? It's malfunctioning just as the others described in the recall so clearly this is a common issue with these particular vehicles. I feel my car should be covered as part of the safety recall on the transmission and I need it repaired as soon as possible.

AND EVEN IF THE SEAT HAD GOTTEN WET (WHICH SOMETIMES THINGS GET SPILLED) IT SHOULD NOT HAVE AFFECTED THE SENSOR I.E IT SHOULD BE INCASED SOMEHOW TO PROTECT IT FROM MOISTURE. I NOW HAVE THE SAME ISSUE AGAIN AND THE WARNING LIGHT HAS BEEN ON FOR SOME TIME. I DO NOT HAVE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO FIX THE SENSOR WHICH IS HOW MUCH THE DEALER CHARGES FOR THIS REPAIR, THE VEHICLE BEING 12 YEARS OLD ISN'T EVEN WORTH A WHOLE LOT MORE THAN WHAT IT WOULD COST TO HAVE THE DEALER FIX IT. I HAVE LOOKED INTO THE ISSUE AND THERE AND A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME COMPLAINT. - Summary: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2008-2012 Buick Enclave vehicles manufactured January 3, 2007, to February 29, 2012, 2009-2012 Chevrolet Traverse vehicles manufactured July 6, 2008, to March 9, 2012, 2007-2012 GMC Acadia vehicles manufactured September 15, 2006, to February 29, 2012, and 2007-2010 Saturn Outlook vehicles manufactured August 17, 2006, to March 18, 2010. The affected vehicles, equipped with the power liftgate option, have gas struts that hold the power liftgate up when open. These struts may prematurely wear and the open liftgate may suddenly fall.
- Consequence: If the open liftgate unexpectedly falls, it may strike a person, increasing their risk of injury.
- Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will update the software for the power liftgate actuator motor control unit so that the motor will prevent the rapid closing of the lift gate, free of charge. The recall began on November 15, 2016. Owners may contact Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782, and Saturn customer service at 1-800-553-6000. THESE INCIDENTS RESULTED FROM A NEW FAILURE MODE ATTRIBUTED TO THE DEVICE'S THERMAL PROTECTION FEATURE. THE SIGNIFICANCE VARIES FROM MINOR DISTORTION TO CONSIDERABLE MELTING OF THE PLASTIC AROUND THE HWFS FLUID CHAMBER.
- Consequence: IT IS POSSIBLE FOR THE HEATED WASHER MODULE TO IGNITE AND A FIRE MAY OCCUR.
- Remedy: DEALERS WILL PERMANENTLY DISABLE AND REMOVE THE HEATED WASHER FLUID MODULE. AN UPDATED PAGE FOR THE OWNER MANUAL WILL BE PROVIDED AND INSERTED IN THE OWNER MANUAL TO DOCUMENT THAT THE FEATURE HAS BEEN PERMANENTLY DISABLED AND REMOVED FROM THE VEHICLE. I hope you're doing well! I wanted to share my experience with the Outlook that I purchased in November 2007. At the time, I had never heard of the car before, but when I saw it, I thought it looked really nice. Since we bought the 2007 model, we were able to get it fully loaded and got a great deal. I never thought I would ever buy a fully loaded car, but I'm so happy that I did. The heated seats, mirrors, heated window washer fluid, and GPS have all been wonderful additions. I'm still not sure if I need OnStar, but I'm pleasantly surprised with XM radio and even renewed it for a year. The only downside is that the gas mileage is not great, at best 17mpg city. Additionally, it can be a little difficult to park due to its size. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend the Outlook to others!

I'm thrilled with my 2007 Outlook, which is my fourth new Saturn vehicle. The interior is incredibly spacious and comfortable, with a fit and finish that surpasses our previous Saturns. The leather seats are both comfortable and durable, and we opted for the captains chairs option, which allows for seven passengers. Even the third row is roomy enough for my wife to relax in. The V6 engine, which is shared with some Caddy models, shifts smoothly and has plenty of top-end power when you need it. While the mileage is a bit low right now (~18 mpg), it handles like a car and is easy to drive. Best of all, people are always asking us about our Outlook!

We purchased this SUV used with 70,000 miles on it. After owning it for a little over two years, it now has 111,000 miles and has had a few issues with the transmission. Thankfully, we had purchased an extended warranty, which has helped us out a lot. Although it has had some problems, we are still grateful for the warranty. The stability track light has been coming on over the past couple of months, which has made it a bit dangerous to drive. We have had to replace the water pump, throttle body, and steering column. Two out of four windows work, and there is an emission control module code showing up, which we understand can be quite costly. There is also a loud vibrating noise coming from the tires, and it shifts poorly when trying to pass another vehicle. These are just a few of the problems we have experienced. We recommend that you do your research before purchasing this vehicle.

I purchased an Outlook in Jul 07 and unfortunately experienced a transmission problem with the vehicle. Despite having the transmission updated, the issue persisted and in Jan 08, I heard a loud noise coming from the back of the car. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the wheel bearings had gone bad. While driving home after having the wheel bearings replaced, I noticed that the steering wheel had become tight and required the pump to be replaced. Although I have had to bring the car in for service multiple times, I am confident that the import dealer will be able to address any remaining issues.

If you're considering purchasing an Outlook, I would like to share my experience with you. We bought ours in March of 2015 to give me more personal space during long trips with our three kids. Although we initially wanted the GMC Acadia, we found the Outlook at a local dealer and thought we had hit the jackpot. However, in February of 2017, while driving with my four kids, the car lost all power and steering. After taking it to the shop, we found out that the timing chain had broken and caused damage to other parts, including the transmission. After spending close to $8k in repairs and six months in the shop, I was still skeptical about its reliability. Unfortunately, in September 2018, it died on us again, and we were told that it might be due to a leak from the sunroof that caused the electrical system to fail. We are still paying for the car, which is now a yard ornament. I hope my experience helps you make an informed decision.

The ABS brake system clicks every time you start the car to perform a self-diagnosis, which can be quite bothersome. Despite this, the dealer has informed us that this is a normal occurrence. Additionally, we have experienced some difficulty with the power seats, which have a rough spot in the fore/aft adjustment. Although we received three new sets of rails, all of them were defective. However, the dealer was able to resolve the issue by replacing our rails with those from a new vehicle on the lot. Unfortunately, we are now experiencing the same problem with the passenger seat. Another issue we have encountered is that the rear seat cushion does not latch properly. Upon inspection, the dealer informed us that this is a common issue with all new Outlooks. We have also noticed a loud engine sound when the car is warm, which may be power steering related. Despite the dealer's inability to identify the issue, we are considering trading the car after only 12,000 miles. Although the car has been in the shop for a total of 12 days over the past 6 months, we remain hopeful that these issues can be resolved.
