- Summary: My low beam headlight started to intermittently go out for a while. Then it went out completely. I go to replace the bulb only to find that the bulb wasn’t the actual issue. The harness, wires, and socket to the bulb were blackened, burnt and melted. So now it all needs to be replaced. I’ve seen on several forums that has happened to so many people that have a car manufactured by GM. The original wiring is not quality enough for the heat and current that goes through there.

- Summary: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2008-2012 Buick Enclave vehicles manufactured January 3, 2007, to February 29, 2012, 2009-2012 Chevrolet Traverse vehicles manufactured July 6, 2008, to March 9, 2012, 2007-2012 GMC Acadia vehicles manufactured September 15, 2006, to February 29, 2012, and 2007-2010 Saturn Outlook vehicles manufactured August 17, 2006, to March 18, 2010. The affected vehicles, equipped with the power liftgate option, have gas struts that hold the power liftgate up when open. These struts may prematurely wear and the open liftgate may suddenly fall.
- Consequence: If the open liftgate unexpectedly falls, it may strike a person, increasing their risk of injury.
- Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will update the software for the power liftgate actuator motor control unit so that the motor will prevent the rapid closing of the lift gate, free of charge. The recall began on November 15, 2016. Owners may contact Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782, and Saturn customer service at 1-800-553-6000. GM's number for this recall is 15240.

- Consequence: IT IS POSSIBLE FOR THE HEATED WASHER MODULE TO IGNITE AND A FIRE MAY OCCUR.
- Remedy: DEALERS WILL PERMANENTLY DISABLE AND REMOVE THE HEATED WASHER FLUID MODULE. AN UPDATED PAGE FOR THE OWNER MANUAL WILL BE PROVIDED AND INSERTED IN THE OWNER MANUAL TO DOCUMENT THAT THE FEATURE HAS BEEN PERMANENTLY DISABLED AND REMOVED FROM THE VEHICLE. After months of researching, I finally purchased my fully loaded Outlook XR and was excited to experience its great look and luxurious interior, complete with heated leather seats, sunroof, captain chairs, Nav, etc. However, I have noticed that the performance is not up to my expectations. Despite my foot being on the floorboard of the accelerator, the car struggles to climb even basic hills. Additionally, the gas mileage is disappointing, averaging only 12 mpg. As a conservative driver, I expected better performance and efficiency from the Outlook. I am confident that these issues can be resolved and I look forward to finding a solution.

I've had this SUV for a little over 3 weeks and so far it's been exceptional. No concerns here. If you're looking into getting a reasonably priced full-size SUV, then the Outlook is the way to go.

We found exactly what we were looking for with the Outlook - a lot of vehicle at a reasonable price. While the mileage isn't quite what we hoped for (around 19), the interior space more than makes up for it. We were able to comfortably fit five adults and two child seats in the car with plenty of room to spare. While it handles well in the rain, new SUV drivers should be aware that high winds can be a bit of a challenge.

I fell in love with the Enclave too, but unfortunately, the price was more than we wanted to pay. However, we decided to order our Saturn AWD with an 8-week delay, and it was definitely worth the wait! The Outlook handles very well on the awful dirt roads down in Mexico that I drive on. Although I do notice some reduced power going uphill, it doesn't affect the overall enjoyment of the ride. I'm getting 16 mph around town, which is exactly what they advertise. I love the spacious interior, and my 6' son has plenty of room to spread out in the 2nd row bench seat. Our three dogs also enjoy all the room in the spacious cargo area. We're extremely happy with our purchase!

I'm so glad to hear that you found the perfect seating configuration for your minivan! It sounds like you made a smart decision by opting out of the Nav system and DVD player since you have OnStar to help with directions and a portable DVD player for entertainment. Plus, it's great that you can bring it on airplanes too! The only downside seems to be the low city mpg, but overall it sounds like you made a great choice.

Although we initially enjoyed this car, we have unfortunately experienced a number of issues. Despite having had the doors repaired twice due to sunroof drain tube leaks, we are still experiencing water damage to the seats. Additionally, we have had to replace the strut mounts and deal with popping noises underneath the car, which have yet to be resolved. We are disappointed that the car struggles to make it up our gravel driveway, despite being a front-wheel drive. However, we remain confident that these issues can be resolved and are committed to finding a solution. While we have faced challenges, we believe in the quality of this car and are determined to make it work for us.

It's really frustrating when you feel like your concerns aren't being heard. I had some issues with my Outlook, including a faulty wave plate that caused transmission problems, and it ended up costing me quite a bit in repairs. I wish there had been a recall for this issue. On top of that, I had to replace several other parts, like the front struts, alternator, gauge cluster, and oil cooler. It's definitely been a learning experience for me, especially since my previous car (a Hyundai with 150k miles) never needed any repairs.

I replaced my 2006 SL2 with an Outlook, but unfortunately encountered transmission issues with the new vehicle. Despite multiple visits to the dealership, the problem persisted. However, after persistent efforts, the dealership finally agreed to replace the transmission. Additionally, I have noticed that the vehicle's mileage is not up to my expectations and there is some wind noise. Nonetheless, I am confident that the dealership will address these issues and provide me with a satisfactory solution.

My previous car was a used 2002 Nissan Altima that gave me a lot of trouble. However, I decided to switch to an American car and believed that Saturn made good vehicles. Unfortunately, this car has not lived up to my expectations. In the four years since I purchased it (as the original owner in 2008), the car has overheated twice and the check engine light has come on three times. I have had to replace an engine solenoid valve, a temperature sensor, and a water pump, as well as fix a leaking transaxle. This morning, I received a stability track DIC, so I am heading back to the dealer again. Overall, I am very disappointed with this car and would not recommend it to pre-owned buyers.
