2015 Nissan Titan problems
The Nissan Titan is a full-size pickup truck manufactured in the United States for the North American market by Nissan. It was named after the Titans of Greek mythology.
First generation (A60; 2003)
Development of the Titan began in September 1999, with design work under Diane Allen. Giovanny Arroba's TA60 exterior was chosen in late 2000, with a final production freeze in July 2001. The design language of the future truck was previewed by the 2001 Alpha T concept shown at the 2001 North American International Auto Show, which had previously developed through November 2000.
Production began on September 21, 2003, and sales on December 1, 2003. The Titan used Nissan's new full-size F-Alpha platform. This new platform was shared with the Nissan Armada and Infiniti QX56 SUVs, with all three manufactured in Canton, Mississippi, United States. The first generation Titan continued without a major redesign through 2015.

- Summary: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2012-2017 NV Cargo and NV Passenger Van, 2013-2015 Titan and Armada and 2011-2012 Infiniti QX56 vehicles. Due to a manufacturing issue, the air bag inflator may not function properly or may rupture during deployment.
- Consequence: An inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front driver air bag inflators, free of charge. The recall began May 7, 2020. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 or Infiniti customer service at 1-800-662-6200.

It's a great truck for everyday driving! The only issues are the blind spots. The width of the pillars is big enough that if someone is crossing the street at an intersection, you may not see them if they are in the street at that particular angle where the pillars are. Additionally, the blind spot on the rear passenger pillar can make it difficult to see small cars, motorcycles, and bicycles if they happen to be driving in that spot. If you have lower back issues, such as degenerative disc, then sitting in the vehicle for longer than 30 minutes may cause your back muscles to stiffen up. However, your back will eventually loosen up. Unfortunately, if you have sciatica, your back muscles tightening up may cause pressure on your back discs, causing the sciatic nerve to flare up. I haven't found a good adjustment for the seat and still be able to drive. For the original price of the vehicle, it would have been great to have the navigation system, Bluetooth for other devices to connect to the radio system (other than just for phone calls), USB instead of mini RCA to connect to the radio, and rear A/C heat controls for the back passengers.

While the MPG may not be the best, it's good to know that you were aware of this before purchasing. It's impressive that you were able to save around $7,000 by choosing the TITAN over other comparable models like the RAM 1500, Sierra, and Tundra. With the money you saved, you can put it towards fuel costs. Based on your calculations, it seems like it will take you about 7-8 years to break even. The tech, interior, ride, steering, and handling all sound great to you, which is fantastic. It's all subjective, but it's great that the TITAN works for you. Pro 4x-Been in the family since new. You'll be happy to know that we haven't had any problems with it and it has lots of power. The plush leather seats and Michelin tires make it the best riding truck we have ever had. Plus, the full steel body and frame really help! Although we did have to replace the brakes a bit sooner than expected, at around 20k miles. It gets 14.3 mpg, which is pretty good. Everything else is still original.

Although I have had some issues with this truck, I have been able to address them effectively. I purchased it used with 33,000 miles and have since replaced the fuze box, exhaust from the cat back, four wheel sensors, two wheel hubs, starter, power steering pump, and brake line ends. Recently, I had to replace the transmission and transfer case. Despite these challenges, the engine runs strong, it tows well, and provides a comfortable ride. Additionally, the limited slip differential has allowed me to get out of some tricky situations in the snow where other 4WD trucks have failed. Overall, I am confident in the capabilities of this truck and my ability to maintain it properly.

I recently purchased a 2012 Nissan Titan Pro-4x and while I have had some mixed experiences with it, overall it has been a decent vehicle. The interior is acceptable, although there is a fair amount of hard plastic used. Unfortunately, the infotainment system has been a bit of a disappointment, as it doesn't seem to allow for music playback through Bluetooth. Additionally, the fuel mileage leaves something to be desired, especially on the highway. However, the engine does provide decent acceleration. While the towing capability is not as strong as I would like, it does the job for my occasional 6k travel trailer. Unfortunately, I have had to take the truck into the shop a few times for repairs, including a recent $1300 expense for a serpentine belt, hydraulic tensioner, belt pulleys, alternator, and power steering pump. Despite these issues, I still believe the truck is a decent option for those who don't need to tow frequently or drive long distances on the highway. However, if I were to purchase another vehicle, I would consider a 3/4 or 1 ton diesel for more power and better fuel economy.
