2010 Nissan Titan problems
The Nissan Titan is a full-size pickup truck manufactured in the United States for the North American market by Nissan. It was named after the Titans of Greek mythology.
First generation (A60; 2003)
Development of the Titan began in September 1999, with design work under Diane Allen. Giovanny Arroba's TA60 exterior was chosen in late 2000, with a final production freeze in July 2001. The design language of the future truck was previewed by the 2001 Alpha T concept shown at the 2001 North American International Auto Show, which had previously developed through November 2000.
Production began on September 21, 2003, and sales on December 1, 2003. The Titan used Nissan's new full-size F-Alpha platform. This new platform was shared with the Nissan Armada and Infiniti QX56 SUVs, with all three manufactured in Canton, Mississippi, United States. The first generation Titan continued without a major redesign through 2015.

- Summary: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2008-2011 Titan, Frontier, Xterra, Pathfinder, Armada, and 2008-2009 Quest vehicles. The resin emblem on the driver's air bag cover may develop cracks and detach during air bag deployment.
- Consequence: A detached emblem can become a projectile during air bag deployment, increasing the risk of injury to vehicle occupants.

I recently purchased this truck after an extensive search for a used one. Initially, I didn't consider the Titan due to its reputation for terrible fuel mileage. However, after driving it and feeling its power, I was hooked. Despite having 85k miles on the speedometer, the truck is still tight and handles well. I'm averaging about 450-475 miles per tank, which is impressive for a full-size V8 truck. The Bluetooth system is easy to set up, and the seats are very comfortable. Although the cup holders could be deeper, it's a minor issue. The only problem I've encountered is with the passenger window, which drops back down about 3 inches after using the one-touch auto-up feature. However, this seems to be a common issue with Titans, and I'm still searching for a solution. I've also experienced a bit of clunking when taking off, but I've been told it's normal for these trucks due to axle wrap. The exhaust system is not stainless and I had to replace a section of pipe, but I was planning on upgrading to a dual cutback system anyway. Despite these minor issues, I absolutely love this truck. I've owned Silverados and Rams in the past, but they can't hold a candle to the Titan. The rear doors on the King Cab open 160 degrees, which is very convenient for passengers and cargo. Overall, I'm hoping to get a good long life out of this truck.The head room in this truck is amazing, making it very spacious. I absolutely love the engine, it growls and is so much quicker than any of the past trucks I've owned. It pulls strong and you will find yourself gunning it to see what happens. It'll put a smile on your face and may even scare you a bit, haha. I came from driving a Hemi and that thing seems anemic compared to the 5.6 V8 in this truck. Nissan has won me over. I'm 46 and this is my first foreign vehicle in the 30+ vehicles I've owned in my life. I'm not sure I'll ever go back to domestic brands.

As a former Chevy enthusiast, I initially overlooked the Titan due to its age. However, after test driving and comparing it to other models, it became clear that it was the best choice for the money. While the Ford F150 and Toyota Tundra Platinum 4x4 were both impressive, the new Dodge had the best ride. Despite initial doubts about Dodge building a truck for Nissan, the 2010 Titan has proven to be a keeper with its excellent build quality, smooth handling, and no buyer's remorse.

This truck just turned 100,000 miles and it's still going strong! It handles just as well as the day I drove it off the lot and has never needed any major repairs, only routine maintenance. It's incredibly reliable and performs better than any truck I've owned before (including a 2009 GMC Sierra and a 2002 Chevy Silverado). If you're looking for a pre-owned truck, I highly recommend considering the 2010 Titan!

You took your new truck on a 500 mile trip and loved it! Even with a kid's car seat in the back, there was plenty of room. The ride was excellent and the power was impressive. You made a great choice by choosing a truck over a larger car and have no regrets. You even got a great deal with the rebate, making the truck cheaper than a king cab Tundra. It's also a plus that it's made here in Tennessee, although you didn't specifically look at American trucks. So far, there are no downsides. You've even taken three grandkids in car seats on two trips and there was still plenty of room. Enjoy your new truck!
