- Summary: I'm the only owner of this vehicle. In Dec 2021 (@ 61000 miles) I had problems with steering my vehicle. I went to break and could not break on the expressway. I was on a 55 miles expressway during rush hour traffic. I came to a stop on the side of the road and when I try to engage the accelerator to get off to the exit the car will not move. It kept stalling and making grounding sounds. The steering wheel was hard to turn as well. Had the Nissan dealership tell me the transmission had to be replaced after 10 days of having my car at the dealership. The transmission was replaced. April 2023 (@ 87000 miles), I am back at the dealership with transmission again. This is the same transmission they put there in Dec 2021. I was going less than 10 mile on a normal roadway. The car will not accelerator or move over 10 mph. It sounded like it I was changing gear in a manual car. The abs light would blink off and on for a split second as the car jerk and trying to accelerate. I have also spend on replacing the suspending and steering, control arms and a whole bunch of other things.

Took 2 weeks for the repair request to be granted; a total of 16 days from initial diagnosis to pickup after repairs.

THIS JUKE IS A LEMON AND I ASKED THE MANUFACTURER FROM THE FIRST REPAIR THAT IT WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THIS JUKE 2016. MANY CASE NUMBERS HAVE BEEN PLACED ON THIS VEHICLE FOR MAJOR REPAIRS. EXHAUST INSIDE CAR: EXHAUST FUMES PERMEATE INSIDE THE CAR WHENEVER THE AC/HEAT/DEFROST ARE ON MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO BE IN THE CAR WITHOUT THE WINDOWS DOWN NO MATTER HOW HOT OR COLD IT IS OUTSIDE. I EMAILED ANDREW TAVI, TODD WOODS AND MARK SWENSON REQUESTING THEY INTERVENE TO BUY THE CAR BACK, BUT THEY HAVE TURNED THE MATTER BACK OVER TO NISSAN CUSTOMER CARE WHO I REPORTED THE ISSUE TO LAST FALL (2017); THIS IS THE SAME NISSAN CUSTOMER CARE WHO DIDN'T ASK TO LISTEN TO THE VOICEMAIL FROM THE DEALERSHIP ACKNOWLEDGING BEING ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION OR THE MULTIPLE VIDEO'S I MADE SHOWING THE ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION. INITIALLY IT WOULD HAPPEN AFTER DRIVING ON HIGHWAY FOR ABOUT 1-1.5 HOURS. NOW IT BEGINS WITHIN THE 10 MILES IT TAKES TO DRIVE TO PICK UP RENTAL CAR. THREE TIMES THUS FAR I HAVE BEEN NEARLY REAR ENDED, ONCE BY A TRACTOR TRAILER WHOSE WHEELS I CAN STILL HEAR SCREECHING BECAUSE THE CAR WOULDN'T ACCELERATE COMING OFF AN EXIT. THE ONLY SOLUTION IS TO STOP THE CAR IN ITS 'TRACKS' TO TRY TO GET THE TRANSMISSION TO CATCH. I TOLD NISSAN DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR THAT CAR ISN'T SAFE TO DRIVE AS WELL AS NISSAN. NEITHER WILL EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THE ISSUE EXISTS INCLUDING REFUSING TO VIEW VIDEOS I TOOK TO DEMONSTRATE THE ISSUE. I TOOK THE CAR TO 3 DIFFERENT NISSAN DEALERSHIPS. ONE IN NY SAID THE ISSUE WAS BEING CAUSED BY AN ACCESS, A QUART PLUS OVERFULL, OF TRANSMISSION FLUID. THE SAID IT WOULD SELF ADJUST AFTER 2000-3000 MILES. FIRST 300 MILES FROM NY TO DC CAR DROVE NORMALLY. ON RETURN TRIP, SAME ISSUE, WITHIN 1-1.5 HRS TRANSMISSION STARTED TO HESITATE, CAR WOULDN'T ACCELERATE. CAR ALSO HAS ELECTRICAL ISSUES WHICH CAUSE CONSOLE TO RANDOMLY RESET ITSELF. AND A NAUSEATING SMELL THAT PERVADES THE CAR WHICH INITIALLY WAS NOTICED WHEN I TURNED THE HEAT/DEFROST ON BUT NOW SITTING HERE WRITING THIS, I CAN SMELL THE ORDER IN MY HAIR; I THINK IT'S SOME SORT OF EXHAUST SMELL. I LITERALLY JUST TEXTED A FRIEND TO BORROW MONEY TO BUY A USED A CAR BECAUSE THE MORE I DRIVE THE CAR THE WORSE IT GETS AND I FEAR AN ACCIDENT WILL ENSUE CAUSING HARM TO MYSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE.

I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THEY COULD NOT FIX IT BECAUSE "NISSAN IS ASKING FOR A VIDEO OF THE DAMAGE" AND WHEN THEY DO THAT "IT MEANS NO".

- Summary: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2015-2017 Nissan Juke Nismo RS vehicles. Due to a problem within the brake master cylinder, brake fluid may leak into the brake booster, reducing brake performance.
- Consequence: If brake fluid leaks into the brake booster it can lengthen the distance needed to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the brake master cylinder, free of charge. The recall began March 19, 2018. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

Over time, the headlights got dimmer until this car was not safe to drive at night. Unfortunately, replacing the bulbs didn't help. However, I still have fond memories of it and would consider buying another one if they fixed the headlight issue.

My 2015 Nissan Juk with 27300 miles experienced engine and turbo failure. Despite having purchased the vehicle with only 27058 miles, the warranty did not cover the damage. The vehicle has been at the dealership since 12/21/2017 and I am currently working with them to resolve the issue.

The car's styling used to be unique, but it seems like everyone has one now. Let's take a look inside. The carpeting could be improved, and it's surprising that there are no power seats. The air conditioning is struggling a bit in the current 85-degree weather, but it's still bearable. However, it might not be as comfortable in hotter climates. The XM radio cuts out frequently, which can be frustrating. The Bluetooth phone works fine, but it can be a bit repetitive to use. The navigation system requires the car to be stopped in order to enter a destination, which can be inconvenient. As for performance, there are some issues with hesitation and power, and the turbo doesn't seem to add much. The car also rides quite rough, and you can feel every bump in the road. Our Ford Explorer, which is built on a truck platform, actually rides smoother. Overall, there are some areas for improvement, but the car is still functional. Hopefully, any issues can be resolved in the future.

I heard that the Nissan Juke had some issues with its continuously variable transmission (CVT). Despite this, I was really drawn to the unique shape and turbo performance of the vehicle, so I decided to purchase it and put a lot of my hard-earned savings towards it. Unfortunately, at 34,000 miles, the transmission failed and had to be replaced. While the dealership did assure me that it was covered under warranty, I was still concerned about the inconvenience of having a broken down car, especially since I enjoy travelling. Additionally, I typically keep my cars for well beyond the 100,000 mile warranty period, so this was a major concern for me. I have owned many vehicles in my lifetime and have driven them for years beyond the warranty period. After the transmission was replaced, I decided to trade in the car at a different dealership and made sure to purchase a new vehicle without a CVT. Although I was disappointed with my experience, I hope that Nissan Motor Company will take steps to address this issue in the future. I did reach out to them, but unfortunately, they were not able to provide much assistance.

I test drove several hatchbacks and found the Juke to be quirky in looks, which I liked. However, upon driving it, I noticed that the handling was sloppy and the headroom was terrible for my boyfriend as a passenger and anyone sitting in the back seat. Additionally, the cargo area was not sufficient for my needs as a dog trainer. Even fitting two dogs was a problem, let alone trying to squeeze in a week's worth of groceries. For the money, I ultimately chose a Jeep Renegade and I am very happy with my decision.

We have a 2007 Toyota Corolla and a 2013 Nissan Juke. Interestingly, we have had more problems with the 4 year old Juke than the 10 year old Corolla. However, we are still very happy with the Corolla, which has been a reliable car for us. Unfortunately, the Juke has had some issues.
