2015 Nissan 370z problems
The Nissan 370Z (known as the Fairlady Z Z34 in Japan) is a 2-door, 2-seater sports car (S-segment in Europe) manufactured by Nissan Motor Company. It was announced on October 29, 2006, and was first shown at an event in Los Angeles ahead of the 2008 Greater LA Auto Show, before being officially unveiled at the show itself. The 370Z is the sixth generation of the Nissan Z-car line, succeeding the 350Z. The 370Z marks the last production car with a naturally aspirated and high-rev V6 coupled to a manual transmission. The 2020 model year was the final model year for the 370Z. The line was continued by the Nissan Z (RZ34) on a modified version of the same platform.

Almost every piece and component of the 370Z has been redesigned from the previous 350Z. The wheelbase is 4 in (100 mm) shorter at 100.4 in (2,550 mm) and an overall length 2.7 in (69 mm) shorter at 167.1 in (4,240 mm). The overall width has been increased by 1.3 in (33 mm), the rear track by 2.2 in (56 mm), and overall height reduced by 0.3 in (7.6 mm). The smaller exterior dimensions and use of more lightweight materials helped reduce weight.
The 370Z features a front aluminum subframe, aluminum-alloy engine cradle, aluminum door panels, an all-aluminum hood, and an aluminum hatch. Front body torsional rigidity is improved by 10 percent with an extensively revised body structure, which includes a new front suspension cradle to reduce front body lateral bending, new rear structural reinforcements, and an underbody "V-bar" to help reduce rear lateral bending. Rear body torsional rigidity is improved by up to 22 percent and rear body vertical bending rigidity is improved by up to 30 percent. Additional enhancements include the use of a carbon fiber composite radiator housing and strengthening of the rear fender and hatch areas. The new structure weighs slightly less than the 350Z.
The 370Z uses a front double wishbone suspension, with forged aluminum control arms and steering knuckle. The rear multi-link suspension uses a forged aluminum upper control arm, lower arm and radius rod, the toe control rod is steel and wheel carrier assembly is aluminum. The refreshed 2013 model uses new dampers with the Sport package models. The brakes have been changed from the more expensive Brembo racing brakes to Nissan branded brakes which are manufactured by Akebono.
The coefficient of drag is 0.30 and 0.29 with the Sport Package, figures identical to the 350Z.

- Summary: On 9/4/2023, both airbags in my daughter’s 2015 Nissan 370-Z violently exploded open erroneously at a stop-sign, when my daughter had, unknowingly, slowly rolled into the protruding hitch of the truck in front of her; the imperceptible impact of which my (driver) daughter and (passenger) son didn’t feel, nor even known had happened (until after they escaped the traumatizing horror). None of the nearby witnesses could noticed the car bump either. From each of the witnesses’ perspectives, they heard a loud explosion come from the 2nd car stopped at a stop sign. Everyone in the vicinity…and patrons & workers who’d run out of the corner store… watched in horror, as “smoke” filled the vehicle immediately. As people began rushing toward the car, my 13 y.o. son DOVE out of the passenger door & rolled several feet…hands clasped to his ears, violently screaming . A gentleman ran toward my daughter’s door, fully prepared to pull her from (what was believed to be) the burning car. Although she was hysterically crying & burned from the chin to the stomach, she was otherwise able to be helped out of the car & walk with assistance to her brother…who had lost all hearing in both ears (for over 15 minutes). It was then that the driver of the truck informed my daughter & helpers of her bump into his hitch. Aside from a small dent in my daughter’s front bumper, there were no other signs of damage from the impact. There WAS, however, a shattered windshield from the passenger airbag. My daughter & son reported that, as the airbags exploded unexpectedly, they were pelted with thousands of stinging particles as the car filled with smoke & smelled like it was on fire. My son dove out of the car as my daughter screamed, “The car is on fire!” Due to bad actor, Dakota McGregor from Nissan, her lies about any known issues or recalls w/the vehicle’s airbags, & her refusal to file a report bc my “kids didn’t die”, we took the $15K hit to repair & Dakota interfered w/the repair co.

I have had many sports cars and this one is definitely the best. I love the handling and the perfect amount of power. It's a shame they don't make the convertible anymore. I will likely keep this one for a long time. It handles great, has perfect acceleration, and hugs the road. It's all the car I need, and it still turns heads.

I have had both and currently own the 2014 370 with sport package. Both cars have been reliable, easy to service and a blast to drive. We live in the Midwest. We have traveled all over the U. S. in these cars and have been reasonably comfortable. Both have been six speed manuals.

I've had the pleasure of owning several cars throughout my life, including 7 BMWs M3/M4, Porsches, Alfa Romeo Quad 505HP, and many more that I can't list. Out of all the cars I've owned, this Roadster is the most enjoyable to drive and handle, especially considering its price point. While it may not be the fastest, it certainly brings me the most joy. While I wait for the new 2024 Z06 to arrive, I'll continue to enjoy my amazing 370Z. It's worth noting that the only issue I've encountered is with the reliability of the convertible top frame, which can be quite costly to repair. :)
