Infiniti Jx 2013 problems
The Infiniti QX60, called the Infiniti JX until the 2014 model year, is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV with three-row seating produced by Infiniti, the luxury vehicle division of Japanese automaker Nissan. It is underpinned by an elongated Nissan Murano platform also used by the Nissan Pathfinder.
In keeping with Infiniti's naming scheme for 2014, in which cars begin with Q and SUVs begin with QX, the JX was renamed to QX60. While the number previously denoted engine displacement (for example, 35=3.5L engine), the new number, 60, is largely to do with its place in the product lineup, with larger numbers usually corresponding to more expensive vehicles.
First generation (L50; 2013)
The Infiniti JX35 was announced in April 2012 in the United States as a 2013 model. A concept version had been debuted at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance event, while the production model was unveiled at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show. For 2014, the car was renamed the QX60.
The QX60 was the first three-row crossover to be released by Infiniti. Design work was done through 2009, by Naoyuki Ohkoshi under Shiro Nakamura. In 2012 Nissan announced that the Pathfinder would also have the same platform as the QX60 for the 2013 model year.
The QX60 had previously been under consideration for the Australian market, but the numbers for right-hand-drive re-engineering and local homologation failed to add up and get approved by Australian authorities unlike its Nissan Pathfinder sibling. This results that the QX60 would not be available in RHD markets as it would only be available exclusively in LHD markets.

Common Infiniti Jx 2013 problems
The 2013 Infiniti JX35, a luxury crossover SUV, has been reported to have several common problems based on complaints from owners. One of the most frequently reported issues is related to the engine. Some owners have experienced power loss and vibration while driving, which can be quite concerning. In some cases, a dealership informed an owner that the transmission required replacement due to power loss. Additionally, there have been reports of vibration from the powertrain.
Another significant problem area for the 2013 Infiniti JX35 is the transmission. Several cases of transmission failures have been reported, often preceded by significant shuddering from the powertrain while driving. During these failures, the vehicles lost all power and failed to shift to a gear despite the engines running. In some instances, the failures recurred even after replacing the transmissions.
The occupant sensor system is another problematic aspect of the 2013 Infiniti JX35. A significant number of models were affected by a faulty occupant sensor system, which fails to detect any passenger on the front passenger seat below a specific weight. As a result, the airbag warning light would come on intermittently or stay on, indicating that the airbags were offline.
Some 2013 Infiniti JX35 owners have also reported sudden shattering of sunroofs while driving, with no apparent source of impact. This issue can be particularly alarming and dangerous, as it occurs without warning.
Another problem reported by some users is the failure of the engine cooling fan assembly. The fans may run at abnormally high speeds and fail, rendering the cooling system ineffective. In some cases, even after replacing the fan assembly multiple times, the failure occurred again.
These common problems with the 2013 Infiniti JX35 have led to recalls and investigations by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The vehicle has faced a maximum number of complaints against its airbags, followed by powertrain issues, electrical system issues, and exterior lighting issues among others.

I took it to a mechanic and was informed it was the transmission. I did some research and found this is a common issue with this vehicle. For some reason my vehicle is not listed on the recall list, though it is exhibiting all the same issues others reported. Car is currently sitting until I can afford a new transmission. Sadly I’m still making payments on it.

I recently traded in my 2012 MDX for the JX. Unfortunately, I was getting terrible gas mileage with the MDX, even though I had only owned it for a few months. Just for fun, I decided to test drive the JX and I fell in love with it. I've only had it for a month, but I find myself looking for excuses to drive it. I really appreciate the transmission choices, and I love using the sport mode when starting off. Depending on whether I'm on local roads or the interstate, I shift the knob accordingly. I've already managed to get 24.6 MPG while in eco drive. Compared to the MDX, I find the JX much easier to drive. My seating position gives me a better view of the road, and the ride itself is smooth, quiet, and just plain relaxing.

I traded my 2007 GX 470 for a JX 35 and I couldn't be much happier. I've had my JX for 2 weeks now and I'm loving my new SUV. It's really comfortable and easy to drive, and the interior looks expensive and classy. The technology is great too; I especially love the 360 degree camera.

I see that you are in search of a car that can comfortably seat 7 people, including 3 children in car seats/boosters, and with enough leg room in the third row for adults. While the Toyota Highlander and Acura MDX are both great options, they may be a bit outdated. I understand that you almost went for the 2013 Pathfinder, but unfortunately the deal fell through at the last minute. However, you ended up with the 2013 JX, which has 2 wheel drive, premium, driver assist, and theater package, all at over $2K under invoice. I believe that you got a great value for your money, especially considering the Infiniti badge and the nice features that come with it. Additionally, the car is quieter than a minivan and has better mileage (about 21.5 to 22.5 MPG) with 90% highway driving. I hope that the crash test/safety rating meets your expectations.

I will never purchase another Infiniti again. Despite its high cost, my car has had numerous issues, including a transmission replacement that cost an additional $5300. The vehicle requires specialized dealer servicing, which can be inconvenient. Additionally, the car's technology features, such as the bluetooth and GPS, have not met my expectations. While the service department has been helpful, the amount of time and money spent on repairs has been excessive. Given these experiences, I cannot recommend this vehicle for future purchases.

After conducting extensive research, we decided on the JX and have been driving it for about three weeks. I must say, it's a perfect flat-land cruiser for moms. I absolutely love the interior design and appointments. The exterior is also quite flattering - unlike GMC, Acura, Honda & Toyota, the JX has a unique style. However, we live in the 'moderate hills' of the SF Bay Area and the JX's gas mileage is not great - we average around 14 mpg. Additionally, backing up the driveway can be sluggish, which may be due to the CVT. My wife says that it's just not peppy and seems sluggish, but once on the flats, it's fine.

The vehicle experienced multiple issues, including a bad transmission, bad transfer case, and a cylinder head gasket failure, all before reaching 100k miles. Based on this experience, it is not recommended to purchase this brand of vehicle. It is important to consider these factors before making a purchase decision.

The dealer advised me to adjust my seating position, but unfortunately, the warning light persisted for 20 miles until we stopped and restarted the car. It's important to be aware of this issue, as it may not be disclosed by your sales representative.

We purchased the Factory extended warranty, but unfortunately, the transmission started stuttering near the end of the warranty period. We had it checked a couple of times, but at 2000 miles beyond the warranty period, it had to be in the shop for a week due to stuttering. Initially, they said they would put a new transmission in and cover it under warranty, but later in the week, they decided it was not necessary. However, they noted it in the records in case it acts up again. Unfortunately, the transmission completely failed a couple of months later while we were on vacation, 1000 miles away from home. We contacted Infiniti, but they were unwilling to consider replacing the transmission under warranty or even splitting the cost or discounting the repair. The estimate exceeded $5000 and 2 weeks. We had no choice but to sell the car to the dealer as-is for a measly $3000. We have decided not to purchase any more Infinitis in the future.
