Regular maintenance and prompt repairs can help prevent transmission issues.
- Electrical Issues: The Mazda 929 has been known to experience electrical issues, such as problems with the alternator or battery. Owners have reported issues with the vehicle stalling, as well as dashboard warning lights coming on unexpectedly. These issues can be caused by faulty wiring, a failing alternator, or a dead battery.
- Suspension Problems: Many Mazda 929 owners have reported issues with the suspension system, particularly with the front struts. These problems can cause a rough ride, uneven tire wear, and even steering issues. Suspension issues can be caused by worn-out shocks or struts, damaged bushings, or other wear and tear on the suspension components.
- Engine Problems: Like any vehicle, the Mazda 929 can experience a range of engine problems. Some common issues reported by owners include overheating, loss of power, and stalling. These problems can be caused by a range of factors, including a malfunctioning thermostat, a clogged air filter, or a faulty fuel pump.

Some common symptoms of fuel system issues include difficulty starting the vehicle, poor fuel economy, and rough idling. These problems can be caused by a range of factors, including a clogged fuel filter, a faulty fuel injector, or a malfunctioning fuel pump.

This car is absolutely delightful to own! It feels like having first-class airline seats in a car. I adore the luxurious style and was pleasantly surprised by the sporty handling. And this is coming from someone who has owned a 1987 Mustang GT, Toyota MR2, and a Civic Si. The car drives solidly and comfortably like a Cadillac, yet takes off and corners like a Mazda 'Zoom Zoom.' It's truly another great achievement for Mazda. Would I buy another one? Without a doubt! I drive 66 miles daily, including 3 minutes of steep hill climbing, and I'm still averaging 19 mpg.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to say that I think your 1994 model series 929 is absolutely stunning! The chrome wheels are a great touch and I can see why you still receive compliments to this day. It's amazing how well-maintained it is, people can hardly believe it's a '94 model. I agree with you that these cars are undervalued on the market and represent great value. By the way, did you know that it gets 20 MPG in town and 24 on the road with premium gas? Thanks for sharing your experience with me!

I bought this car back in 2000 when it had 126,000 miles on it. It was in great condition, I'm not even exaggerating. I absolutely adored the spaciousness of the car. The interior was the most interesting and best-looking I've ever seen, with chrome accents and light blue leather seats. I finally parted ways with it in 2006 when it had 277,000 miles on it, trading it in for my current 2000 Infiniti Q45t. Even now, I still get excited when I see a well-maintained model 929 on the road.

This vehicle has been free of any mechanical problems since I have owned it.

You've had this car for almost seven years now and it sounds like you've really enjoyed it! It was considered a luxury full-sized car when it was first released and the styling is often described as Japanese Jaguaresque. Although you sit lower in the car than most, it's still very comfortable to ride in. Some people have mentioned that there's no glove box or tilt steering wheel, but these are just minor inconveniences. It would be great if Mazda could release a technologically updated version of this car in the future!

I purchased this car a year ago and have driven it for 10,000 miles. Although I have encountered several issues, I have taken decisive action to address them. The intake was loose, causing the car to stall, but I had it fixed at great expense. Despite this, the car still stalls occasionally. Additionally, the heat does not work and the check engine light comes on intermittently. I am confident that these issues can be resolved with further attention and maintenance. While the car's fuel economy is not ideal, I am optimistic that it can be improved with proper care. Overall, I believe that this car has potential and I am committed to ensuring its reliability.
