2015 Maserati Quattroporte problems
The Maserati Quattroporte (Italian pronunciation: ) is a four-door luxury sports sedan produced by Italian automobile manufacturer Maserati. The name translated from Italian means "four doors". The car is in its sixth generation, with the first generation introduced in 1963.
Quattroporte I (AM107, 1963–1969)
The original Maserati Quattroporte (Tipo AM107) was built between 1963 and 1969. It was a large saloon powered by V8 engines—both firsts for a series production Maserati automobile.
History
The task of styling the Quattroporte was given to Turinese coachbuilder Pietro Frua, who drew inspiration from a special 5000 GT (chassis number 103.060) which he had designed in 1962 for Prince Karim Aga Khan. While the design was by Frua, body construction was carried out by Vignale.

The Maserati Quattroporte, a symbol of luxury and high performance, has been reported to have several common problems by its owners. These issues range from electrical system malfunctions to transmission troubles and engine performance problems.
Electrical System Malfunctions:
One of the most common problems reported by Maserati Quattroporte owners is related to the electrical system. These issues include faulty sensors, malfunctioning control modules, and intermittent electrical failures.
Transmission Issues:
Transmission-related issues are another concern for Maserati Quattroporte owners. Instances of rough shifting, delayed engagement, or even complete transmission failure have been reported.
Engine Performance Problems:
Some Maserati Quattroporte owners have encountered engine-related problems, such as rough idling, engine misfires, or reduced power output.
Suspension Challenges:
The Maserati Quattroporte’s finely tuned suspension system, designed to strike a balance between comfort and sportiness, has occasionally faced challenges. Owners have reported suspension noise, excessive vibration, or rough ride quality. These problems are due to prematurely worn-out bushings, damaged shocks or struts, or misaligned suspension components. Regular maintenance and timely replacement of worn parts can help mitigate these issues and restore the Quattroporte’s “refined” driving experience.
Additionally, the Maserati Quattroporte has been reported to have issues with the fuel system, including improperly crimped fuel delivery hoses and shorting of the battery positive cable for the alternator and starter motor.
Another reported issue is the melting of interior components in high temperatures, which can warp and leave a lasting impact on the vehicle's appearance and functionality.
While these issues are common, it is essential to note that not all Maserati Quattroporte vehicles experience these problems. By staying informed and working closely with qualified technicians, you can ensure a delightful ownership experience with your Maserati Quattroporte, allowing you to relish this Italian masterpiece’s elegance and performance.

THE PROBLEM IS MOST ACUTE FROM THE HEADLIGHTS OF ALL VEHICLES BEHIND THAT ARE REFLECTED AS GOING UP AND DOWN IN HUGE STREAKS AND SOMETIMES IN RAINBOW COLORS. I REPORTED THIS PROBLEM TO THE MASERATI DEALER OF SILICON VALLEY IN REDWOOD CITY, CA, WHO INVESTIGATED AND SAID THE ISSUE WAS WITH ALL THE QUATTROPORTE'S ON THE 2015 AND 2016 MODELS THEY HAD IN STOCK. THEY CONCLUDED THIS AS A DESIGN CONDITION WITH THE PHOTOCHROMIC IN THE REARVIEW MIRROR. SEE ATTACHED SERVICE COMPLAINT RECORD FOR REFERENCE. IN COROLLARY, THEY HAD ME ESCALATE THE MATTER DIRECTLY TO MASERATI, WHO AFTER THEIR RESEARCH (CASE# 51725) ARE SAYING THIS TO BE NORMAL AND WITHIN DESIGN SPECS SINCE ITS THE SAME CONDITION WITH ALL THEIR QUATTROPORTE'S. THERE WERE EXPRESSLY CLEAR IN NOT OFFERING ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE IN RESOLVING THE ISSUE. IT IS DEFINITELY FROM THE REAR GLASS, BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE THAT PROBLEM FROM THE SIDE VIEW MIRRORS. YOU ALSO NOTICE IT WHEN YOU TURN AROUND SO IT IS NOT THE REAR VIEW MIRROR. THEY OFFERED TO PUT AN ANTI GLARE PROTECTOR ON THE REAR GLASS. WE TRIED IT OUT BUT IT DIDN'T FIX THE GLARE. *TR

I'm still really enjoying the car. I've had to replace the brake shoes and headlights at this point. The only downside is that the new brake shoes tend to squeal when stopping slowly. Nonetheless, I still love the car.

Beautiful exterior and interior styling by Pininfarina. The car is powered by a smooth and powerful Ferrari engine with a premium exhaust system and sound. The fine Italian leather interior is the best I have seen. This is a great car!
-
Beautiful luxury sedan that drives and handles like a sports car. One of just a few cars that are still handmade and if cars could have a soul the Maserati would have one. You can not beat the sound of the Ferrari engine. Even if you're a music lover you will choose the sound of the engine and exhaust over the stereo any day. Do yourself a favor and go drive a Maserati Quattroporte today!

Your Maserati GTS sounds amazing! It's incredibly fast, reaching 0-60 in less than 4 seconds and exceeding 200 mph three times. The design is stunning and it turns heads everywhere you go. It's great to hear that it's also comfortable on long trips, even without the massaging seats. You must be quite the racer, having beaten Corvettes, Mercedes, and Porsches. It's impressive that you've remained unbeaten at any speed. Safety is clearly a top priority for you, as you only race at the right time and never put anyone in jeopardy. The sound system is also exceptional, with Bowers and Wilkens. It's fantastic that your GTS has every option and was listed at over $175,000. Waiting a year to save over $100,000 was a smart move. It's clear that you've owned many classics and race cars, but the Maserati GTS is the best of both worlds. It's great to hear that you've had zero problems and are having fun with it!

I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying your Quattroporte! It sounds like you've been able to put quite a few miles on it without any problems. I love the spacious interior and the quick acceleration too. While some other brands may offer more electronics, I personally don't use all of the features that my Quattroporte already has. And let's be honest, do you really need 20 speakers in a car? Thanks for sharing your positive experience with your Quattroporte!
