The task of styling the Quattroporte was given to Turinese coachbuilder Pietro Frua, who drew inspiration from a special 5000 GT (chassis number 103.060) which he had designed in 1962 for Prince Karim Aga Khan. While the design was by Frua, body construction was carried out by Vignale.

- Summary: The car started normally. This vehicle is gas dependent and has a dangerous gas leak. This vehicle is available for inspection upon request. It has a safety inspection sticker on it as of May 2022. This safety is a risk throughout our community after being driven and gas spilled in large amounts. The vehicle stopped and had to be manually reconfigured to return to the residence. This is temporary fix. I do not know if this is reproduced problem. We were directed to contact the dealership who fixed or repaired the problems related to Campaign 205. Criswell Maserati of Germantown, Maryland was contacted on 4 August and the Service Departed provided information concerning the repairs to be corrected and no additional repairs related to Campaign 205. This vehicle has been safety inspected at the time of purchased in December 2021. There were not symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. We drove the vehicle from King George, Va to Woodbridge Va without any indicators.

- Summary: The systems that failed is the emergency parking brake, as well as, the tire pressure monitoring system. Both systems would be available for inspection on request. Due to the failure of the emergency parking brake places not only the safety of others but myself, as well, at risk in the event of an emergency braking situation. Due to the failure of the tire pressure monitoring system could also place others safety and myself at risk by causing a tire to be flat without me being aware. Upon taking my vehicle to the dealership for the TPMS recall they said that I could book a service appointment with a service advisor to get the recall completed, however, the TPMS recall was never completed. Currently, the vehicle has not been inspected by anyone at this time. There is currently a warning light for the TPMS sensors, for the Electronic Parking Brake when parking the car the EPB will engage automatically the only way to disengage it is by shifting the vehicle out of park to another gear such as reverse, neutral or drive. When trying to operate the EPB while parked or while driving, it does not engage. The TPMS warning light came on around the end of 2020 in December. The EPB stopped engaging around April of 2021 this year.

The dealer Gold Coast Maserati (732 Northern Blvd, Great Neck, NY 11021) was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that there were no adjustments to the seat belt. The contact also contacted several other dealers whom informed her that the rear seat belts could not be adjusted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 650.

This Italian creation is a true embodiment of style, which is highly valued by the Italians. The car is admired by people of all ages and economic backgrounds. This is actually my second Quattroporte; the first one ('84) was my daily driver for 8 years. The build quality of this car has improved beyond belief. I drive it hard and enjoy it the way it was intended to be enjoyed. So far, I have not encountered any problems. The performance is simply amazing. Once you get a sense of where the limits are, you can truly experience the thrill of a sports car in the morning and enjoy the luxury as you and your friends arrive at your favorite 5-star restaurant in the evening. The controls are easy to use and well positioned. However, it's worth noting that the transmission is a standard when driving on hills.

I've been researching and shopping for a Quattroporte for quite some time and I'm finally pulling the plug this weekend. I'm still pinching myself! The wife took my last car and traded in her Cad EXT for a Honda Civic Hybrid, which she promptly gave to me. The fuel economy driving up to the Bay area was better than I had read, taking into account the grapevine and the occasional tendency to do well over the speed limit. LOL. I do have to agree with a prior review that the fuel and brake pedals are too close. Remember to make a concerted effort in braking, otherwise, you can find yourself in a whole heap of trouble real fast. After a year and a half, I have found this model with the 4.7 Ferrari engine to be bulletproof. I do not abuse it, and it has been very dependable.

I was considering leasing my third S class when I thought it might be worth exploring the possibility of a Quattroporte. After experiencing the quality and reliability of this car, I cannot imagine going back to the Germans. Although I initially bought the car for its looks and sporting credentials, I have been pleasantly surprised by its performance. Despite having 20-inch wheels, the car rides smoothly in the city where it spends most of its time. On the freeway, there is plenty of power available, although it is not as quick as the AMGs I have owned in the past. Nevertheless, the car is so well balanced that I prefer it. I have always loved cars, but now I truly love MY car.

It's unfortunate that my lease is ending on the QP, but I wanted to take a moment to express how much I've enjoyed driving this amazing car. Despite owning several high-end vehicles in the past, including Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and other luxury sedans, the QP stands out as the best all-around car I've ever had the pleasure of driving. Its Ferrari-inspired design and top-of-the-line drive train and suspension make it a true standout in the crowded field of luxury performance sedans. Compared to other luxury brands like Mercedes and BMW, the Italians really know how to create a car that is both elegant and high-performing. I'm having a really tough time figuring out why my $113k car is worse than my '92 Chevy Cavalier. This car has been in the shop more times than I can count. It has had too many problems for a luxury car, including computer sensor and transmission failures, alarm malfunctions, clutch and battery issues, and engine failure system problems, just to name a few. I will never buy another one.

I may be the only person in the US to own two Maserati Quattroportes. Unfortunately, my first one had multiple problems that included sensors, transmission, and finally the main computer, all within the first three months of ownership. However, the dealer was incredibly helpful and bent over backward to assist me. Maserati of NA even gave me a new car, and although I had to have the transmission re-built (clutch and throw-out bearing), the dealer did it for free due to the low mileage. It's important to note that the clutch is a wear item and costs $2500 to replace, but the service manager assured me that it's good for 20k miles. Just be aware of this when considering a Maserati purchase.

I have owned two Quattroportes, and unfortunately, my first one had several issues with its computer, sensor, and transmission. However, I must say that the dealership and support team have been exceptional in their efforts to make things right. My second Quattroporte is currently undergoing transmission re-building, but it is still a beautiful car and a joy to drive. It is a shame that Maserati's goal of an entry-level exotic is not being met due to quality control issues in a 100k car. I hope that Maserati will take the necessary steps to rectify this situation and make me a happy customer. At the moment, it falls short of being a prime time player.

The car is absolutely stunning! It's definitely one of the most beautiful sedans out there. However, I've had some trouble with the dealership we use. Unfortunately, they don't have any mechanics for the car, which can be frustrating. One time, I had an appointment and they told me that their mechanics were at the races and couldn't take care of my car. It was during the November 2006 race at Homestead Speedway, which was a shame. I understand that all American cars have their quirks, but it was disappointing that the mechanics were unavailable when I needed them. Additionally, I've noticed that the car has a tire error that can cause issues if you make a tight u-turn. The 2005 transmission can take some time to pick up, but hopefully they've perfected it by now. Lastly, the 6-CD changer can rattle a bit, but it's a small issue in the grand scheme of things. Overall, this car is perfect for long trips and highway driving. It truly is a gorgeous car!

Although my sedan has a sports car chassis and looks gorgeous, I have had a few issues with it. Unfortunately, it has spent 6 out of the 20 days I have owned it in the shop. Out of the 530 miles I have driven, 162 miles (31%) have been repair-related. This is not ideal, especially since some features that have been standard in other luxury cars for a decade are missing. However, I am confident that these problems will be resolved soon. Despite the issues, I have found the car to be really fun to drive and it definitely turns heads. (I know it's the car, not me, causing the head-turning as I am old enough to know better.)
