Firstly, it's important to note that owning one of these cars is different from owning any of its German competitors. Parts and service costs are higher, wait times are longer, and consumables like brakes and tires will wear out faster than on an S-Class or 7er. However, the fifth gen QP (in Automatica spec) has proven to be reliable. My own car, an '07 Sport GT Automatica, has over 100K on the clock and everything works as it should. The quality of some of the interior trim may not be quite as good as the Germans, but the hide on the seats holds up very well and the seats are supremely comfortable on long hauls. It would be nice if they raised up a bit higher to allow better legroom and more thigh support. Otherwise, no complaints about comfort at all. The suspension system does have a tendency to eat bushings rather quickly and they're expensive to replace, and handling can become a bit This car is a great value, especially considering its current depreciation. As long as you have a competent and fair dealer or a good Italian car indie nearby, you'll have no problem using this car every day. Just be prepared for frequent replacement of the rear tires and brakes. It's important to go into Italian car ownership with realistic expectations, as they require more maintenance. However, as they say, nothing beautiful is easy to keep! The car has been well-maintained and has had regular replacements of parts such as front end bushes, anti-roll bar bushes, and front skyhook strut assemblies. With 139K miles as of November 2019, the car is still flawless. The driver's door window regulator and the driver's door main window switch pack had to be replaced, but these are expected for a car of this age and mileage. Overall, this car is a reliable and beautiful choice that I plan to drive until it is no longer practical. The battery was recently replaced after six years, but other than that, the car has been performing fabulously. The body, paint, and interior still look incredible, thanks to regular maintenance and care. Even after a 3,200 mile trip and being surrounded by new Bentleys and Lamborghinis on a family vacation in Miami, the car still turns heads. As we approach the 200K mark, I'm confident that the car will continue to perform well. If and when the time comes to replace it, I'll likely look for a QP-S from 2012 or 2013. A friend of mine bought a '13 QP GTS, but I found the ride too stiff for my liking. I prefer Skyhook to the Bilstein fixed rate dampers on the GTS. Update 2/1/22: The QP is still performing beautifully with approximately 166K on the odometer. Some front end bushings and sway bar end links have been replaced, but otherwise, it's still a fabulous car. UPDATE (way overdue): As of July 2023, the car has 170K miles on it. I recently did some routine service and replaced the front pads and rotors. Next week, I'll be replacing the engine mounts (they were last done around 95K miles, so they seem to last 75-80K). The only other repair needed right now is a new front coil spring as the left front is broken, so I'll just replace both. Everything else on the car is flawless as always.

Congratulations on your new purchase! The 2005 Maserati is truly one of the best cars out there. Its styling is amazing and it drives like a dream. While some people may have negative things to say about this car, buying a low mileage older car where the kinks are already worked out can give you a Ferrari for the price of a Ford. It may cost a bit more to maintain, but the driving experience is worth every penny. Even with a few idiosyncrasies, I wouldn't trade mine for anything. If you're looking for a true enthusiast's car that looks as good as it drives, the 2005 Maserati is definitely the one for you! Best of luck with your new ride!

Wow, this car is really impressive, even for a suburban mom like me. I was pleasantly surprised to receive compliments from every male between 12-60 years old while driving this 'sedan'. The interior is super comfortable and spacious, with a cool analog clock in the dash that adds to the stylish feel of the car. With just a light push of the gas pedal, I was able to beat every souped-up Honda off the line, which was a lot of fun. The only downside is that the trunk space seems a bit limited, and the portholes on the side make it look a bit like a Buick, according to my mom. However, the gas mileage is pretty good, with 12+ mpg in regular mode and 9 mpg in sport mode. My kids love the ability to control the passenger seat from the rear center console, which they've nicknamed the 'chauffeur button'.

I recently upgraded my car to a 2007 Sport GT automatic from my 2006 Duoselect QP, and I must say, it's been a fantastic experience! The car is smoother, quieter, and even better inside and out. I absolutely adore the 20-inch wheels, the suspension and gearing in sport mode, and my wife loves the full automatic. This car definitely turns heads - my wife reports that she gets more attention in this car than out of it! The car handles perfectly, and has tremendous power and responsiveness in both automatic and manual modes. I drove my 2006 for over 30,000 miles, and I plan to drive this car daily as well - the more you drive these, the more reliable they become. These cars are meant to be driven, and I absolutely love this car!

Title says it all. This car makes me feel like the Godfather every time I drive it. The styling, inside and out, is a perfect creation by the masters at Pininfarina. The seats alone are like $10k Italian furniture pieces! The engine is wonderfully powerful, with a huge torque curve maxing-out at over 7000RPM. I purchased this car in 2010 as a used vehicle. However, I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the equipment. In the same year, while driving from VA to NJ, my car broke down halfway due to a faulty air conditioning pump with only 17,000 miles on it. Additionally, I noticed a hesitation in the cruise control while going downhill, so I took it to the dealership. They informed me that the clutch was bad at only 17,000 miles. As someone who is 100% Italian and born in Italy, I am deeply disappointed to say that this is an Italian-made car. The compressor for the air conditioning has already cost me $3,900, and I will have to pay another $5,900 to replace the clutch. It is unacceptable that a $140,000 car has such poor equipment.

Hi there! I recently purchased a car with 38k miles and have put on an additional 7k miles since then. The car's history showed regular service, with the most recent one being at a Ferrari dealer at 36k miles. Unfortunately, I have had to replace a few parts since purchasing it, including a shift actuator, f1 pump, and driver side door handle. The window wash sprayers are not working, possibly due to a broken switch inside the steering wheel. Additionally, the massage seat on the driver's side has not worked since I bought the car. Recently, I noticed some air in the back window and it wouldn't roll up, so it seems like the back window regulator needs to be replaced. Lastly, the clutch needs to be replaced and the car's acceleration has been a bit rough, even when using the manual and sport mode properly. Oh, and the interior in the rear is falling apart. Despite these issues, I still enjoy driving the car and am looking forward to fixing it up. Thanks for reading!

This car has a great appearance, but unfortunately it has not been very reliable. I have had to spend $13,760 on repairs and it has only done 23K miles. This is not what I expected from a car that cost $140K when new. I have decided to take it to auction next week to sell it before it costs me any more money. However, if you are looking for a car that looks great in your driveway, this could be the one for you. Just be aware that it may not be suitable for driving long distances.

I may be the only person in the US to own two Maserati Quattroportes. Unfortunately, my first one had multiple problems that included sensors, transmission, and finally the main computer, all within the first three months of ownership. However, the dealer was incredibly helpful and bent over backward to assist me. Maserati of NA even gave me a new car, and although I had to have the transmission re-built (clutch and throw-out bearing), the dealer did it for free due to the low mileage. It's important to note that the clutch is a wear item and costs $2500 to replace, but the service manager assured me that it's good for 20k miles. Just be aware of this when considering a Maserati purchase.

Although my sedan has a sports car chassis and looks gorgeous, I have had a few issues with it. Unfortunately, it has spent 6 out of the 20 days I have owned it in the shop. Out of the 530 miles I have driven, 162 miles (31%) have been repair-related. This is not ideal, especially since some features that have been standard in other luxury cars for a decade are missing. However, I am confident that these problems will be resolved soon. Despite the issues, I have found the car to be really fun to drive and it definitely turns heads. (I know it's the car, not me, causing the head-turning as I am old enough to know better.)
