- Summary: Maserati North America, Inc. (Maserati) is recalling certain 2018 Maserati Quattroporte, Ghibli, and Levante vehicles. The welds on the front sub frame may be incomplete, which can result in the welds breaking.
- Consequence: If the welds fracture, it can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Maserati will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the sub frame for incomplete welds, replacing the sub frame, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on June 29, 2018. Owners may contact Maserati customer service at 1-877-696-2737. Maserati's number for this recall is 369.

When I was considering purchasing my 2015 S Q4, I read some reviews that had criticisms of the car. However, I also came across many positive reviews and comments. It seems that objectivity is not always used when reviewing the Ghibli! So, I decided to test drive it against other upscale cars I was interested in and ultimately chose the Ghibli based on my own taste and driving experience. I am so glad I did! While there are objectively some aspects that could be improved (such as the gear paddle, belt locking mechanism, and audio system quality), these are minor issues compared to the car's unique style, impressive performance, and sublime handling. I have only driven 1200 miles so far, so I cannot fully assess the car's reliability. However, in terms of braking, handling, and overall performance (which are not subjective), I cannot understand the negative comments I have read. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase!

Couldn't be happier! I recently purchased a Maserati that is a few years old with only 14,000 miles on it. It looks brand new and was a steal at $78,000, which is less than what you would pay for a boring new car with no personality. I've owned the Ghibli for a few years now and I absolutely love it! The white/cuoio (brown) color combination is stunning and all the add-ons (97k MSRP) make it even more special. There are so many pros to this car, including the amazing sound, comfortable ride, exclusive feel, powerful engine, column paddle shifters, sleek curves, front facia, quad exhaust tips, great visibility, informative screen, and much more. Of course, like any car, there are some cons to consider. After the warranty expires, parts can be expensive and maintenance costs around an average of $1500 per year. Insurance rates are a bit higher compared to BMW and Benz. If you're not planning on using it as a daily driver, it may not be the best choice for you. Additionally, the battery can drain if it sits for too long and the MPG is pretty low, averaging about 17. However, the feeling you get when you drive it is absolutely worth the cost of ownership. Everyone who sees it enjoys it (even if some people may hate it) just as much as you do!

When I traded my 2011 C63 AMG, I wasn't sure what to expect. However, after driving this vehicle for the last 7k miles, I've found it to be an absolute pleasure to drive. The car is incredibly fast and responsive, with almost instantaneous acceleration. The braking system is also very quick to reduce speed. The car feels strong and quiet at the same time, and the sound of the engine through the exhaust pipes is music to the ears of any car enthusiast. The elegance of the vehicle is also a real head-turner. I was initially skeptical when I purchased this vehicle, but I can confidently say that owning this masterpiece has been a truly wonderful experience. It's simply perfect!

Hello! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my 2017 Maserati Ghibli Sq4. I absolutely love my car, but I did have an issue with the dashboard material on the passenger side peeling up after 6 months out of warranty. I reached out to customer care, but unfortunately, they were unable to cover the defect. I understand that this is a common issue with these cars, as I read on a Maserati forum. While I was disappointed, I still have a lot of love for my car. I was considering getting a Grandturismo, but I may have to reconsider. I believe that material issues like this should be covered, especially when they occur in under 5 years. Thank you for listening to my experience!

The resell value of this car is not very good, as it can depreciate by $25-30,000 once you drive it off the dealership lot. Additionally, the dealership does not provide a Maserati as a loaner while you wait for service. The interior may not be as luxurious as some other brands. However, there are other brands that provide more value for your money and hold their value better.

The front seats are unfortunately uncomfortable, making it difficult to sit back without feeling discomfort. Back seat passengers may also find it challenging to enter and exit the vehicle, and the seats may not be the most comfortable for longer journeys. Despite attempts to address the issue with the corporate office, no solution has been found yet. However, I am hopeful that a resolution can be reached. In the meantime, I have decided to sell the car and explore other options. Perhaps in the future, I will consider investing in a higher-end vehicle.
