- Summary: Maserati North America, Inc. (Maserati) is recalling certain 2018 Maserati Quattroporte, Ghibli, and Levante vehicles. The welds on the front sub frame may be incomplete, which can result in the welds breaking.
- Consequence: If the welds fracture, it can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Maserati will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the sub frame for incomplete welds, replacing the sub frame, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on June 29, 2018. Owners may contact Maserati customer service at 1-877-696-2737. Maserati's number for this recall is 369.

Our GHIBLI S may be at the lower end of available Maserati's, but it is just as fun to drive as any other vehicle we considered within our budget. Not only is it a sexy, eye-catching style inside and out, but it also turns heads with its sporty roar from those quad pipes, which competing vehicles just can't match. It is comfortable and makes my wife and I smile ear to ear with every mile we drive. In our younger years, we had a brand new Corvette and some Mercedes too, including a 560 SL, all of which we grew tired of over time. We briefly considered a BMW, but it seems nearly every college kid has one now or at least a friend who does and quite frankly, there are so many BMW's on the road today, they are even becoming boring to the eye. So, this time, while we had our eye on the upcoming re-styled 2017 Porsche Panamera, we just got tired of waiting and found ourselves attracted to the Maserati Ghibli. Not only did we save some cash, but we are convinced we made the right choice when choosing the GIBLI S instead of the Panamera. We just took our first long-distance road trip (about 2500 miles) and we received more compliments about our Maserati in a week than in a lifetime of driving other vehicles. We love ours!

The Maserati Ghibili S Q4 is a car that will take you on rides you never thought possible. Its Q4 quickness and fantastic handling make for an exhilarating driving experience, while the plain yet elegant interior adds a touch of sophistication. Unlike the all-too-common Mercedes, the Ghibili stands out with its powerful start-up and unmatched lines, complemented by a beautiful and durable paint job and sweet wheels with a perfect stagger. The trunk space is also a plus. However, the stereo could use some aftermarket help and the gas mileage is not great. Overall, I highly recommend taking a test drive and getting to know this car. After owning it for a couple of years, I can confidently say that I am very pleased with my purchase and happy I did not go for an Audi, Mercedes, or BMW.

I have been a proud owner of a Mercedes for over a decade now. Having test-driven a few of the new models and spoken to the mechanics at the Mercedes dealer, I can confidently say that once you own a Mercedes, it's hard to switch to a different sedan, much like Corvette owners. However, after inspecting the Maserati Ghibili with an eye for detail, speaking to mechanics, and test-driving it, I have decided to make the switch to the Maserati S Q4. Here's why: the power is flat-out amazing, the exterior and interior are unique and stunning, and the leather and comfort in the front two seats are fantastic. My kids are happy in the back seats, and the gauges are very easy to read. The handling is better than most in its class, although the ride is a bit stiffer compared to many Mercedes models, but not by much. The trunk has quite a bit more room than you would think. Although the stereo needs work, I will get that straightened out somehow. The gas mileage is not great, but with gas prices so low, I am fine with that for now. I wish I could speak towards the reliability of the Q4, but I cannot at this time. One of the main reasons I considered switching was that every day while driving, I see so many Mercedes-Benz vehicles on the road that they have become a bit boring to look at. Anyhow, I wish you good luck on whatever you decide :)

When I was considering purchasing my 2015 S Q4, I read some reviews that had criticisms of the car. However, I also came across many positive reviews and comments. It seems that objectivity is not always used when reviewing the Ghibli! So, I decided to test drive it against other upscale cars I was interested in and ultimately chose the Ghibli based on my own taste and driving experience. I am so glad I did! While there are objectively some aspects that could be improved (such as the gear paddle, belt locking mechanism, and audio system quality), these are minor issues compared to the car's unique style, impressive performance, and sublime handling. I have only driven 1200 miles so far, so I cannot fully assess the car's reliability. However, in terms of braking, handling, and overall performance (which are not subjective), I cannot understand the negative comments I have read. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase!

Couldn't be happier! I recently purchased a Maserati that is a few years old with only 14,000 miles on it. It looks brand new and was a steal at $78,000, which is less than what you would pay for a boring new car with no personality. My advice is to keep searching for low-mileage used cars and avoid paying full price for a car you don't even love. Happy hunting, my friends!

Hello! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my 2017 Maserati Ghibli Sq4. I absolutely love my car, but I did have an issue with the dashboard material on the passenger side peeling up after 6 months out of warranty. I reached out to customer care, but unfortunately, they were unable to cover the defect. I understand that this is a common issue with these cars, as I read on a Maserati forum. While I was disappointed, I still have a lot of love for my car. I was considering getting a Grandturismo, but I may have to reconsider. The resell value of this car is not very good, as it can depreciate by $25-30,000 once you drive it off the dealership lot. Additionally, the dealership does not provide a Maserati as a loaner while you wait for service. The interior may not be as luxurious as some other brands. However, there are other brands that provide more value for your money and hold their value better.

The front seats are unfortunately uncomfortable, making it difficult to sit back without feeling discomfort. Back seat passengers may also find it challenging to enter and exit the vehicle, and the seats may not be the most comfortable for longer journeys. Despite attempts to address the issue with the corporate office, no solution has been found yet. However, I am hopeful that a resolution can be reached. In the meantime, I have decided to sell the car and explore other options. Perhaps in the future, I will consider investing in a higher-end vehicle.
