Finally the car started but I couldn’t get it to go over 15 mph. The car has been to the shop twice for service. Once was an electrical and the other time they couldn’t find nothing wrong with it. They said it just needed service. I serviced the vehicle as recommended and now it back doing the same thing again.

I am aware that the recall was done for this issue but there has been no successful resolution to the problem. The car was taken to Rusnak Pasadena on July 21, 2021 and since they could not duplicate the concern, there was nothing done. The car was then taken to Maserati of Puente Hills as the issue continued. As per the dealership, on their maserati system, it shows that my car did not qualify for their recall and it would not be considered to be a manufacturing issue. This is a major safety concern as it can cause an accident

- Summary: The vehicle was manufactured with laminated glass for all windows and the glass is delaminating and forming bubbles around glass edges which compromises the integrity of the glass. On my vehicle, it affects all 4 windows and both front and rear windshields. This issue is widely reported on forums and group message boards and seems to affect all years of the Maserati Ghibli from 2014+. I have inquired with a local independent shop and was told that this is a safety concern and to try to reach out to the dealership. Reaching out to the dealership, I have not received a response. Others have said they had mixed results with the dealerships replacing their glass even with warranty. Others out of warranty were denied replacement or were told it is normal and not to worry.

- Summary: During a diagnostic performed at the Maserati dealership to repair parking brake failure, it was determined that the right strut tower/dome has a large crack. The vehicle has not been in any major accidents or driven over any potholes and it appears that this happened spontaneously. There were no warning lights to signal this issue. During the diagnostic it was also found that all 4 tires were bald, control arms needed to be replaced and the car was out of alignment. I have only driven the car approximately 7,000 miles since purchasing it used and the car was delivered with new tires and a flawless 150 point inspection from the dealer. This deformity has major safety concerns as it affects the suspension, alignment, tires and creates unsafe driving conditions. I asked the Maserati dealership and Maserati USA if this vehicle was involved in Service Campaign 268 for possible deformation of the dome, but was told it was not involved.

This is a fantastic car and a great alternative to a BMW 5. The engine is superb and the exhaust is amazing. The front is very comfortable, although the rear is a bit tight, but that's to be expected from a sports sedan. I did experience a few minor glitches, but they were quickly fixed during the yearly service. Speaking of which, the service can be a bit pricey as it is a Maserati, but it's worth it. I highly recommend this car.

I'm glad to hear that you did your research before purchasing your used 2014 Ghibli with 70k miles and that it has been great so far. It's always reassuring to hear positive experiences, especially when there are negative reviews out there. I agree that the fit and finish of the car is impressive and it feels solid, although it is quite heavy at around 5500 lbs. The exhaust sound is fantastic and it sounds like it's a joy to take on long trips. I can understand your frustration with the entertainment system lights being too bright at night and the backup camera image being grainy, but overall it sounds like a great car to own.

I recently purchased a used Ghibli sq4 with 28k+ miles. While the navigation system and sound are impressive, the overall quality and luxury of the car left something to be desired. However, I have not experienced any issues with it so far. It's worth noting that the car sits quite low and may not be suitable for roads with a lot of potholes due to limited suspension travel. On the other hand, the car looks great and the tan interior is particularly wonderful. While the power band in 'ICE' mode is not the greatest, things start to change dramatically in manual or sport mode. The electric steering has a slight 'hole' in the middle when turning left or right, but it gets stiffer in sport mode as expected. If you're looking for a comfortable, smooth ride with minimal road noise, then a Mercedes-Benz or BMW with a higher ride height and bigger profile tires may be a better fit. Personally, I love my Ghibli and have not experienced any issues with it. I inspected it thoroughly before purchasing and have not encountered any problems with the transmission or otherwise.

While some may prefer the M5 or S6, I personally found that my X5 diesel performed better. The throttle may have been a bit laggy, and some parts may have been sourced from the Chrysler parts bin, but overall it was a decent car. The stereo could have been better, but it was not the worst I have ever experienced. It is important to note that everyone's experience may differ. While Chrysler may have taken over the brand, I believe that with time and effort, they can improve and continue to produce quality vehicles. In the meantime, those who prefer German brands may want to stick with what they know.

Hello! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my 2017 Maserati Ghibli Sq4. I absolutely love my car, but I did have an issue with the dashboard material on the passenger side peeling up after 6 months out of warranty. I reached out to customer care, but unfortunately, they were unable to cover the defect. I understand that this is a common issue with these cars, as I read on a Maserati forum. While I was disappointed, I still have a lot of love for my car. I was considering getting a Grandturismo, but I may have to reconsider. I believe that material issues like this should be covered, especially when they occur in under 5 years. Thank you for listening to my experience!

Although the car has some pros such as great sound and Maserati badges, it has been quite a challenging experience. Unfortunately, I had to pay a significant amount for repairs and maintenance, including a $11,000 repair for a broken bolt on the sub-frame connector due to the car's low height, and a $4,800 brake and tire job. Additionally, I had to get four alignments in less than a year. The customer service experience was not great, unless you pay for their premium service. I am looking forward to the end of my lease. Unless there is an amazing deal, I would not consider getting another Maserati, and even then, I would only consider the Levante. It is not a suitable car for everyday use, as it bottoms out with more than two people in the car and the front end feels unstable. If you are willing to spend the money, I would recommend a German car or an import. In fact, I would even suggest the Genesis 90 over this car.

I reached out to customer care, but unfortunately, they were unable to cover the defect. I understand that this is a common issue with these cars, as I read on a Maserati forum. It's a shame because I was considering getting a Grandturismo, but I'm hesitant now. I still love my car, but I wish they would stand by their workmanship. I believe that if it's a mechanical issue, I'm responsible, but material shouldn't be ripping up in under 5 years. Thank you for listening to my experience!
