- Consequence: If the fuel pump fails, the engine can stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump assembly with an improved one, free of charge. Owners of specific models were notified that remedy parts were available starting January 21, 2021. Owners of other models will be notified as remedy parts become available. Remedy parts should be available for all affected vehicles by late March 2021. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-888-270-9371 or Lexus customer service at 1-800-255-3987. Note: This recall is an expansion of recall 20V-012. Toyota's number for this recall is 20TA02. Lexus' number for this recall is 20LA01.

Purchase a leftover 2020 in October of this year. The car is much improved from a 2016 I drove as a loaner for a day. I tested the Acura RDX, Toyota Venue, and Lexus NX, but the RX 350 is superior in every category. The ride is very smooth and the cabin is super quiet. I highly recommend getting the premium package, as it's definitely worth it. I love all the technology on the car and it feels very safe.

Pros: The 2020 RX450h is a reliable and smooth ride with sufficient power. The V6 and hybrid composition make for a smooth driving experience. Cons: While the driver seat lumbar support could be improved, the 2017 RAV4 SE has a more supportive driver seat for long trips. Additionally, the console software UI can be confusing and distracting. The assembly quality control is subpar compared to my 3 Toyotas, which is not surprising since it is assembled in North America instead of Japan. The electronic brake is also a bit goofy compared to the traditional mechanical brake, lacking feedback and control, which can be very annoying depending on speed and condition.

I had a very disappointing experience with Lexus and their customer service. Unfortunately, I encountered several issues with the vehicle, such as being locked out of it multiple times and having a poor infotainment system. The app to control the vehicle from my phone was also unreliable. Additionally, the navigation system often took me on unnecessarily long and challenging routes. The climate control was also problematic, as it never cooled the car in the summer and was overwhelming in the winter. The moisture sensing wipers were also unreliable. Despite returning the car to Lexus seven times in six weeks, they were unable to find any issues. Their Customer Relations team suggested that the issues were due to my driving, which was frustrating. Overall, I regretted my decision to acquire this vehicle and was relieved to turn it in after only thirty months and less than 10K miles. While I am not thrilled with my replacement from another manufacturer, that is a topic for another review.
