- Summary: The sunroof glass suddenly shattered, for no apparent reason and without warning. There was no collision and no impact by an object. We were driving at freeway speed when we heard a loud bang above our heads. The interior sunroof cover was closed at the time. I slid it partway open and saw that the glass of the sunroof had shattered, so I closed the cover to keep glass from falling in the car. Had it been open at the time of break, the glass would have rained down on the driver and passenger. I have not yet taken it to a dealer or repair shop.

- Summary: while I was driving in the desert, the check engine light come on and then the motor when on a safe mode idling at less than 5 miles per hour, when I approach a hill did not when up to the hill, the car die. when I started the car back the car went pass the hill and drove for about 20 minutes at 5 miles per hour. I disconnected the battery and work fine after resseting the computer. the car has done the same thing at least three more times.

- Summary: While driving down the Interstate 75 at 70 mph the car completely lost engine power and the whole dashboard lit up. It would not respond to acceleration. I had to pull the car over to the side of the road. I re-started the car and it started back up and worked normally. The following day while on I-75 the car experienced reduced power this time. The car would not accelerate above 20 mph . We got off at the next exit. We spent about 10 minutes searching for the closest Lexus dealer and then when we went to start the car again it ran normally. This has subsequently happened a 3rd time where the car would not respond to the accelerator and I had to pull over to the shoulder and re-start the car. Unfortunately there are no error codes showing when we took it to the dealership on both occasions so they are unable to diagnose the issue.

- Summary: As I was traveling eastbound going 55MPH, a car pulled out in front of me from a parking lot and hit my car in the front passenger side. The impact caused my car to go over both eastbound lanes, the median, both westbound lanes, down a hill, and headfirst into a fence. All passenger side airbags deployed, but my driver airbag did not. The impact from the collision should have caused my airbag to go off, and then head first into the fence should have been a second reason for it to deploy. The airbag not going off could have avoided a concussion and severe neck and back trauma. There is an airbag recall on the year, make, and model of my car but my VIN does not show up as an impacted vehicle. This is being looked into currently by the vehicle manufacturer.

- Summary: Upon entering a parking lot yesterday and heading down a small ramp my 2016 Lexus NX 200 spontaneously accelerated and even with my foot on the brake did not stop. I was unable to control my car and ending up hitting a tree. All of the airbags deployed; the windshield cracked; the body of the car was severely damaged and I suffered injuries. The car was brought to a body shop and is available for inspection. Fortunately, no other cars were in the parking lot and no one else was hurt. The car will be inspected over the next few days. There weren't any warning signs. I cannot say for sure what mechanical failure occurred to cause the accident, but there was clearly a mechanical failure as the acceleration was beyond my control.

IT HAPPENED ON THE FOLLOWING DATES: 6/13/20 , 7/15/20X 2 / 8/28/202 X 2, 8/30/20, 9/04/20, 9/05/20, 9/10/20/ 9/17/20, 10/24/20 X5, 10/27/20X 2, 11/3/20, 11/13/20. THESE ARE THE DATES THAT I RECORDED BUT THIS ISSUES HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE 2017.

I recently retired and needed to replace my 2011 BMW X3. Although I loved my X3, the new one was just too expensive. During my search, I test drove the BMW X1 and wanted to like it, but the ride was too firm for my liking. I also considered the Acura RDX, but their option pricing required the loaded but most expensive Advance package just to get parking sensors. Additionally, I did not feel that the Acura style, interior or exterior, was up to the 2016 Lexus NXt. I requested quotes through the Edmunds link and was pleasantly surprised that an out of town dealer had by far the best deal. I got pretty much every option except the lane departure warning, dynamic cruise control and leather seats (you will be impressed with the comfort and looks of the Lexus synthetic leather seats!). I only have about 500 miles on it, but so far, I am very happy with my purchase. It is extremely comfortable, very quiet and has a high-tech look. Although the touchpad controller is a bit fussy, you do get better with use (and many controls can be done from the steering wheel or verbally). As another reviewer commented, the cruising range is only a little over 300 miles, but that is a minor complaint compared to the many positives with this vehicle.

I am already the proud owner of a 2015 NX F-sport, which I gave a 5-star review back in November 2015. Recently, my wife and I became empty nesters, so she decided it was time to downsize from her 2009 Mazda CX-9 GT and move into a 5-seater CUV. She test drove a few different models, including the Mazda CX-5 GT (which she loved but needed more power), the Nissan Murano (which was very nice but rolled too much in the turns), and the Acura RDX (which was well-designed but had bland exterior styling). After test driving my car, she decided that it was better than any of the other vehicles she had tried. We found exactly what she wanted - a base unit with the premium package and no NAV. She absolutely loves the vehicle, from its unique exterior styling to its smooth acceleration, ride, and handling, as well as its comfortable and luxurious interior. The only differences between her base model and my F-sport are the paddle shifters and the additional turbo boost and accelerometer gauges. The handling advantage in the F-sport is only really noticeable in very hard and fast turns, and I think a lot of that has to do with the better grip of the summer tires. Also, since she doesn't have the NAV system, the infotainment controller is a dial with a push-button selector, which is much easier to use than the track-pad system on my car. Sometimes simpler is better. We only have a few minor issues with the car. We wish the BSM had an audible tone when you signal and a car is in your path in addition to the orange light in the side view mirror. Her former CX-9 and all the vehicles she test drove had this feature, so I'm surprised it's missing. Also, the low fuel warning comes on at a way too early 12.5 gallons.You still have over 3 gallons remaining, so I find the warning a little too aggressive. I often haven't reached 300 miles yet when the light comes on, but these are minor quibbles. All in all, the NX200t is an excellent choice if you're looking for a compact CUV.

Firstly, let me say that the NX200 is a great choice for many drivers, especially those who prefer a smaller and lighter car like the RX300. As a long-time Lexus fan, I was eagerly anticipating the NX as a solution to my frustrations with the brand's recent design choices. While the NX is fun to drive, handles well, and accelerates nicely, there are two deal-breakers for me. Firstly, the cabin cargo area is too small and not tall enough for my large dog. Secondly, the front seats curve forward at the top in a way that I'm not fond of. It's disappointing that smaller SUVs like the BMW X1 offer better cabin height, and the Audi Q5, Mercedes GLC, and Subaru Forester offer more viable choices for me and my dog. However, I understand that everyone's needs are different, and your mileage may vary.

Overall, I think it's a great vehicle. It has a nice ride and performs well in snow. While it may be a little slow off the mark and the brakes can be a tad grabby, I still recommend it.

Some drawbacks include a few exposed bolts in the lower console, cheap looking trim, and a complex navigation system. The cargo space is decent, but not exceptional. If you're looking for a similar option, consider a loaded out RAV4, as they share the same platform. Alternatively, you could opt for a two-year-old RX350. I personally traded mine in after 16 months for a GS350, but keep in mind that I took a loss. The GS350 feels like a luxury car and may be worth considering.

I bought my NX200T in 2016 from the dealership on Maui and was immediately drawn to its sleek design. As someone who previously owned a BMW, I had high expectations for this vehicle. Unfortunately, the navigation system and ability to read text messages have never worked properly, despite being advertised as compatible with my Samsung Note 4 and later, my Samsung Note 8. Despite several attempts to resolve the issue, the dealership has been unhelpful and unresponsive. It's frustrating to have a full warranty but not receive the necessary support. I would caution others against purchasing from this dealership.

I was really excited to get the RX, but when I arrived, I found out that it had gotten bigger, wider, and heavier. Unfortunately, it was no longer the perfect midsize car that I was hoping for. I ended up getting the NX instead, but I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed. While it was fine during the test drive, I didn't love it after the first full day of driving and owning it. I think it could benefit from being a bit taller and bigger. The analog clock is nice, but I was hoping for a digital clock, at least on the navigation. Additionally, the NX has fewer safety options than the RX, which was a bit of a letdown. Overall, I feel like I settled for a little too much with the NX. While it's my first luxury car, I'm not sure if it will be my last Lexus.

My husband and I recently purchased the Lexus NX as we thought it would be a better fit for us now that we are 'empty nesters'. We were looking for a luxurious SUV with a good height. However, after driving the car for a day, we realized that it was not as comfortable as we had hoped. The front bucket seats were not very comfortable and caused neck discomfort. Additionally, we had some concerns about the touch pad for the multimedia screen and the limited side rear view when changing lanes. Despite these issues, we were able to return the Lexus NX to the dealership and found a 2017 BMW X3 that met all of our needs. While I was a happy driver of a Lexus RX for the past 8 years, I am currently enjoying the luxury, comfort, and size of my BMW. Thank you for your understanding.
