Fantastic car. This is a car to drive solely for the pleasure of driving. It is very responsive, sounds awesome, and turns heads. Touch the accelerator and it's off to the races. It is a totally impractical car, gets terrible gas mileage, has limited trunk space, and is the best car that I have ever owned. I wish I could have bought one earlier.

This is my first Lexus that I have ever owned, and I am absolutely thrilled with it! The car is simply beautiful, and the amount of detail and refinement inside is amazing. It's a real pleasure to sit in and interact with. The materials are top-notch, and the buttons and knobs feel expensive and great to the touch. The ride and performance are fantastic, and the V8 engine has an awesome sound when you rev it out. The transmission shifts with real authority, and the engine has a sound of refinement that makes flooring it an obsession. The handling is good for a car of this size, and I'm looking forward to many, many trouble-free miles with this brand. I cannot begin to stress how much this automobile exudes quality. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and excited to see that Lexus is starting to build exciting cars again. Way to go!

Update for July 2018: Hi there! I wanted to share my experience with the car after having it for a year. I must say, it just keeps getting better and better! I absolutely adore this car as a daily driver and road-tripper. The highway mileage is so good it seems fake, I'm easily getting 30 mpg when cruising in Eco mode. And have you heard the engine scream in Sport+ mode? It never gets old! I just can't get enough of it. After a year, I expected to have buyer's remorse or a wandering eye for other cars, but no. The LC 500 is a car that just grows on you and still turns heads. It's like having a supermodel as your daily driver!*** The car has outstanding visual appeal inside and out, but I must admit, the acceleration is a bit disappointing. However, I highly recommend going for the bespoke option, even though it's a 3-month wait. Neither the touring nor sport packages give you the correct combination of options. Here's the combination you want, starting from bone-stock, in order of importance: 1. Limited Slip Differential (LSD), 2. Convenience Package, 3. Heads Up Display (HUD). Done. All other packages and options actually worsen the car's performance. Or they package excellent options (like the retractable spoiler) with unnecessary ones (like Variable Gear-Ratio steering). Basically, you want the LSD to correct the flaws in the drivetrain. The stock, active, rear open-differential loses too much horsepower at the wheels. The LSD is mechanical: more horsepower, more traction. With the stock differential, you have to pay attention when you're kicking the tail loose. It's still fun, but the LSD gives you +HP +control. It's a no-brainer option there. The Convenience Package gives you parking assist, which is a must-have. The dimensions of the car make it difficult to park, but parking assist will save you, again and again. Get it, save your body work, and make parking garages your best friend. Lastly, the HUD is just plain cool! It's definitely an option worth considering.The car is equipped with an unintentional safety feature that keeps your eyes focused at near-driving distance. Additionally, it displays the song you've cued up from your phone via Bluetooth. After the engine break-in, you can get the dealer to fix the rev limiter to 7,300rpm, which is limited to 7,000rpm off the lot. Although the peak horsepower is at 7,100rpm, the rev limiter is ruining the fun. I would not recommend getting the hybrid version as the 33% savings in mileage is not worth it. Instead, I suggest getting a Tesla or a BMW i8. The car looks twice as expensive as it costs and provides a true opulent experience for the senses. The ride quality is Lexus smooth and the steering feedback is excellent in bone stock configuration. It is a masterpiece of emotional driving that makes you want to drive forever. However, it is slower than a Roush Mustang 427 because the LC 500 drivetrain is not designed for performance and handles like a Challenger SRT8 due to its weight. Additionally, it costs more than a BMW M4 and has out-of-touch infotainment controls. If you are looking for a dream car that gives you an emotional response, then the LC 500 is the perfect choice for you. However, if you do not feel this way after seeing it, then it may not be the right car for you. Personally, I have a transcendental experience every time I drive the LC 500, but I understand that it may not be for everyone. The configuration reviewed was the Black on black V8 with the Convenience Package, All-Weather Package, Touring Package, and Heads Up Display.

This car is truly in a class of its own. While it may not be the fastest or have the best handling, it is still incredibly fast and handles like a dream. From a luxury, performance, comfort, and handling perspective, it is one of the best balanced cars out there. The quality of materials, fit and finish, and attention to detail are on par with, or even exceed, those of cars costing much more. My car is infrared and the paintwork is simply extraordinary. Having spent part of my career in the auto industry, I have had the pleasure of driving many different brands of new cars, and I can confidently say that this car is the best all-around performance GT vehicle I have ever owned or driven. It doesn't hurt that it is also stunningly beautiful to look at, with an interior design and quality that are unmatched. Every ride in this vehicle is beyond enjoyable. While the touchpad infotainment system may take some getting used to, it is still quite usable. And if you prefer, you can always use the excellent voice control for heating, cooling, media, navigation, and most other things you need on a daily basis. I have owned this car for almost three years now, and I am still completely in love with it. I usually tire of cars by now, but this one brings me pure enjoyment every time I drive it. I have had no problems with it since I bought it, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

It's a pleasure to drive and looks great (mine is red). The front seats are spacious and comfortable, but the back seat is better suited for storage. The acceleration and power are impressive, but I appreciate the safety features, especially the gentle lane assist and automatic low/high beam feature. The remote start is a nice touch, although it's frustrating that after the first year, I have to pay to keep that and other features. (One of my favorites is the car location feature.) I also find it odd that the car turns off when I enter it after using remote start. The entertainment system could have been better, but overall, it's a fantastic car. Just be prepared for the attention it attracts - strangers often take pictures and approach to share their appreciation for such a beautiful car. It's been 2 1/2 years and 20,000 miles, and I'm still smiling. I haven't had any issues (other than the fuel pump recall that occurred early on), and I wouldn't want any other car.

What a great roadster! It's so much fun to drive that you never want to stop. After owning the car for 4 months, I wanted to update my review. I wish I had seen other reviews about the braking squeals, though. I just took it in for the same squealing front brakes at stops. For a 4-month-old car with 3900 miles, it's disappointing that Lexus is aware of the problem but doesn't have a fix yet. It's a $100k car, and this issue is unacceptable. I was also informed that a recall on the fuel injection system is coming, but no replacement parts are available at dealers yet. Owners haven't received a notice yet, only dealers. So, please be aware that Lexus is still learning how to build high-performance vehicles. We are trial owners, after all.

I also own one! I was influenced by Savagegeese and other YouTubers, as well as the stunning design - it's definitely one of the best-looking cars out there. And let's not forget about the engine sound - who needs infotainment when you have that? It's plenty fast on straight roads, but unfortunately doesn't handle curves as well as it looks. The car's weight and inertia are a physical reality that can't be cancelled out by stability controls or limited slip differential. As a result, it doesn't instill confidence on twisty roads.
