Common 2020 Lexus Lc500 problems
Based on the information provided in the sources, here are common problems with the Lexus LC500 2020 based on complaints from owners:
- Infotainment System: Complaints have been raised about the infotainment system, particularly the lack of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. While the system is not severely criticized, it stands out as an area that could be improved for a more seamless user experience .
- Brake Dust: Owners have reported excessive brake dust from the stock brakes, which, although mostly cosmetic, can be a nuisance. This issue may require regular cleaning to maintain the car's appearance.
- Ride Quality on Run Flat Tires: Some owners found the ride quality on 21" run-flat tires to be rougher than expected for a grand tourer. Downsizing to 20" wheels with conventional tires improved the comfort level for these owners.
- Interior Quality: While the LC500 boasts a luxurious interior, some minor issues have been noted. For instance, scuffing on carbon fiber scuff plates, fabric mesh covering speakers, and dim interior lighting have been mentioned as areas for improvement. Additionally, the placement of certain components like the front side speakers and the lack of adequate lighting have been highlighted as minor drawbacks.
- Parking Challenges: Due to the design of the car, parking can be challenging, especially in terms of visibility. Some owners have installed front cameras to aid in parking, as the hood's dramatic drop-off can make it difficult to gauge the car's front end visually.
- Limited Trunk Space: While the LC500 offers a luxurious driving experience, the limited trunk space may pose challenges for practical daily use, especially for larger shopping trips or activities that require more cargo space. Owners have adapted by utilizing the backseats for additional storage due to the limited trunk capacity.
These common problems reported by Lexus LC500 owners highlight both minor inconveniences and more significant issues that have been noted with the 2020 model. Addressing these concerns can enhance the overall ownership experience of this luxury vehicle.
Is the Lexus LC500 V8 reliable?
Lexus was the top-rated brand in our 2017 Driver Power owner satisfaction survey, with an excellent reputation for the reliability and quality of its cars. Both the V8 engine and the hybrid system used by the LC 500 have been proven in other models and the way the car is put together speaks for itself.
How good is LC 500?
In short, the LC500 is a charismatic and engaging choice on the right roads, plus its refinement and lengthy kit list make it easy to live with. Only the firm ride undermines the experience, as it confuses the car's character a little.
Will the Lexus LC 500 be discontinued?
And this will be the swan song for the V8 for Lexus. And kind of for Toyota. As well so we have a 4 liter Twin Turbo Hybrid boasting over 700 horsepower like the old LFA. It has a transaxle.
How many miles will a Lexus LC500 last?
Since 2019, Matt Pridemore has been daily driving his LC 500 and in 2024, it will cross the 200,000-mile (~322,000 km) mark, having already passed 150,000 miles (241,000 km) in March this year.

The car is incredibly comfortable, even more so than German coupes that cost 30-50k more. With the windows up, you can barely hear anything beyond a five-block radius, making it a great choice for those who value peace and quiet. Drivers who have experience with Lexus and other major German brands will understand what I mean. Despite being rear-wheel drive and relatively heavy, it handles like a small coupe. The cabin is so quiet that you may not even realize how fast you're going. Additionally, those who use CarPlay or Siri will appreciate how well they work in this car due to its quietness.

I test drove the LC a couple of weeks ago, and I must say, it was quite an experience. I could imagine myself sitting in the driveway, just listening to the rumble of the engine. Knowing that it was going to be a fun ride to work that day would put a big smile on my face. Lexus has done an amazing job with this car! When it comes to sports cars, there is usually an area where you have to compromise while enjoying the dominant features of the car, but not this time. Just sitting inside the car, you feel like it was made just for you. It's very comfortable, with all controls easy to access. You don't feel scrunched up at all. It's a very welcoming, personal feeling while you hear the rumble of the engine. While the engine is easily heard from outside the car, you don't feel overpowered by it from the inside. And when you give this thing gas, it's like a comforting, yet powerful push forward. The car just screams dominance while waiting for you to unleash the 471 hp under the hood. Although others have posted complaints with the brakes, I only heard one squeak noise as I entered the street from the parking lot, and then nothing else over the hour and 15 min test drive. In fact, I was very impressed by the braking system. It was very responsive and did an excellent job of slowing the car down at high speeds. As soon as I'm able to, I'll be purchasing one for myself.

All around, this is an excellent car, with the only downside being its imperfect infotainment system. It's still pretty close to perfect though!
