Common Lexus Lc500 problems

The Lexus LC500 is a luxury sports coupe that has been praised for its design and performance. However, as with any vehicle, there are certain issues that have been reported by owners. Here are some of the common problems with the Lexus LC500 based on complaints from owners:

  • Passenger Side Door Panel
Some owners have reported that the passenger side door panel in their LC500 has become unglued. This can be a cosmetic issue, but it can also affect the functionality of the door panel.
  • Steering Wheel Wear
The steering wheel in the LC500 has been reported to wear prematurely. This can be caused by the driver gripping the wheel too tightly or by the leather used in the wheel not being durable enough.
  • Seat Bolster Wear
The seat bolsters in the LC500 have also been reported to wear prematurely. This can be caused by the driver sitting in the same position for extended periods of time, leading to wear on the bolsters.

It's important to note that not all LC500 owners have experienced these issues, and some may have had their cars repaired under warranty. However, these are some of the common problems that have been reported by owners of the Lexus LC500.

Lexus Lc500

Is the LC 500 a good car?

The 2024 Lexus LC 500 may not be a simple pleasure, given its high cost, but it's not a complex one. It is, at the very least, simple pleasure-adjacent. This is not a complicated Japanese supercar-killer like a Nissan GT-R, or even a hard-nosed sports car like the Porsche 911.

How many miles will an LC 500 last?

Since 2019, Matt Pridemore has been daily driving his LC 500 and in 2024, it will cross the 200,000-mile (~322,000 km) mark, having already passed 150,000 miles (241,000 km) in March this year.

Can you daily drive a Lexus LC 500?

Because it's it's more inconvenient I can't go over speed bumps. And all that sort of stuff yeah it looks amazing but it I wouldn't be able to drive that yeah I'm gonna tear that off in a minute.

How long does Lexus LC last?

In general, cars from this luxury brand can easily last 250,000 to 300,000 miles. While cars from other brands can last for around 150,000 miles, a Lexus can double that estimation and allows drivers to push the absolute limit of the vehicle's longevity before a replacement is necessary.

I also own one! I was influenced by Savagegeese and other YouTubers, as well as the stunning design - it's definitely one of the best-looking cars out there. And let's not forget about the engine sound - who needs infotainment when you have that? It's plenty fast on straight roads, but unfortunately doesn't handle curves as well as it looks. The car's weight and inertia are a physical reality that can't be cancelled out by stability controls or limited slip differential. As a result, it doesn't instill confidence on twisty roads.

    Vehicle year: 2021

From the first time I saw it and every time I open my garage door, I feel so happy! This car is super clean with beautiful lines and it's a thrill to drive! The roar when you step on the gas and the quiet smoothness when you're just cruising are like yin and yang. It's a great car!

  2. Chris Brakus 2024-11-14

    Vehicle year: 2021

All around, this is an excellent car, with the only downside being its imperfect infotainment system. It's still pretty close to perfect though!

  3. Jadon Kozey 2024-11-10

    Vehicle year: 2021

The car is great, but the brakes are squealing and the issue seems to be getting worse.

  4. Warren Romaguera 2024-11-10

    Vehicle year: 2021

This car is truly an instant classic. It's the result of a six-year project that screams precision! Lexus has given its customers the opportunity to love this car for life.

I test drove the LC a couple of weeks ago, and I must say, it was quite an experience. I could imagine myself sitting in the driveway, just listening to the rumble of the engine. Knowing that it was going to be a fun ride to work that day would put a big smile on my face. Lexus has done an amazing job with this car! When it comes to sports cars, there is usually an area where you have to compromise while enjoying the dominant features of the car, but not this time. Just sitting inside the car, you feel like it was made just for you. It's very comfortable, with all controls easy to access. You don't feel scrunched up at all. It's a very welcoming, personal feeling while you hear the rumble of the engine. While the engine is easily heard from outside the car, you don't feel overpowered by it from the inside. And when you give this thing gas, it's like a comforting, yet powerful push forward. The car just screams dominance while waiting for you to unleash the 471 hp under the hood. Although others have posted complaints with the brakes, I only heard one squeak noise as I entered the street from the parking lot, and then nothing else over the hour and 15 min test drive. In fact, I was very impressed by the braking system. It was very responsive and did an excellent job of slowing the car down at high speeds. As soon as I'm able to, I'll be purchasing one for myself.
