- Summary: My 2015 Ford Taurus goes into limp mode because of inadequate air flow across the Throttle Body Actuator. Scanner results show the Throttle Body Actuator as the problem issue. I have sprayed cleaner in the butterfly spring but the vehicle is still going into limp mode after driving it only a few miles after spraying the cleaner. It could be the throttle body has issues or it could be one of the sensors. At any rate, having the vehicle go into limp mode while driving 80 MPH down the freeway is a very dangerous situation. It has put me in precarious positions and it is clear that the Throttle Body is the issue.

- Summary: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2014-2016 Explorer, 2014-2015 Taurus and 2014 Edge vehicles equipped with 2.0L or 2.3L engines and front wheel drive. The support bracket for the front drive axle halfshaft may fail.
- Consequence: The failed bracket could result in a loss of park function which can cause unintended vehicle movement, and loss of motive power while driving which increases the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the link shaft bracket, free of charge. Parts are not currently available. Owners received an interim notification detailing safety risk December 8, 2020. A second letter will be mailed when parts become available in January 2021. The recall began February 2, 2021. - Summary: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2013-2018 Lincoln MKT and Ford Flex and Taurus vehicles with the Police Interceptor or SHO Performance Pack. The rear suspension toe links may fracture due to stress on the rear suspension.
- Consequence: A fractured rear toe link will cause a sudden change in vehicle handling and increase the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the rear suspension toe links, free of charge. Remedy parts are not currently available. Owners were notified about the recall on March 3, 2020. A second notice will be mailed when remedy parts become available, which is currently expected to be the end of September 2020. The affected vehicles have a parking brake that may not fully engage when applied. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems."
- Consequence: If the parking brake does not fully engage and the transmission is left in a gear other than 'Park' while on a slope, the vehicle may roll away, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will test the operation of the parking brake system, and if necessary, replace the parking brake control assembly, free of charge. After owning a Taurus in Alaska and experiencing its great control in snow, I knew my next car would also be a Taurus. I purchased a 2010 model and never had any issues with it. When I retired to Atlanta, GA, I decided to buy a new Taurus sedan limited in 2015. It has been a great performer on both freeways and country backroads. The car is comfortable, reliable, and classy! I am already looking forward to my next Taurus!

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my 2015 Taurus SEL 3.5 liter V6 that I bought in March of the same year. The sticker stated that it would get 23 mpg city and 29 mpg highway, but so far, I've only been getting 21.5 mpg after driving 9000 miles. I brought it back to the dealership when it hit 7500 miles to have a full diagnostic test done, but they didn't find anything wrong. They suggested that it might be the way I drive, but I know that's not the case. Despite this, I still love the overall style of the exterior and get a lot of looks at stoplights. As someone who is 6'4, I find the driver's seat a little cramped, but still comfortable. The car sits up quite a bit higher, which makes getting in and out of the car a breeze. The backup camera is perfect for parking, although the back end is pretty high, so it does take a little getting used to the rear view mirror. The trunk is huge, but I do wish they would have taken some of that space to expand the cabin a few inches. Overall, I would still recommend this car to anyone, as long as the mpg were at the stated 23 to 29 range. Thanks for reading!

I really love this vehicle! It has great power, amazing technology, and is super comfortable to operate. As a young father with three young children, I'm happy to say that they all fit comfortably in the car. I'm so glad I didn't go with one of those outrageously expensive Dodges! This car can easily outperform an SRT. You should definitely look it up!

My husband really loves how spacious and comfortable our Taurus is, especially since he's a big guy. It's also great on gas mileage and has plenty of room for all our suitcases on vacation!

The Ford Sync system has been problematic, even at only 13k miles. Initially, it would disconnect and unpair my phone once a week for three months. Despite my attempts to fix it by deleting and re-adding the device, the problem persisted and worsened. Currently, it does not connect at all. The car's handling around simple turns is subpar, and it feels like a mid-size pickup truck. Additionally, the transmission shifts slowly and sometimes downshifts unexpectedly in sport mode. Overall, these issues detract from the car's performance and user experience.

Although the car has 31000 miles on it, I am dissatisfied with it. The front seat door posts have a notch that digs into my shoulders and the seats are hard with no cushion, making it extremely uncomfortable on long trips. In comparison, my 2009 Limited was much more comfortable and got better gas mileage. Even my older VW Passat, which is a compact car, is more comfortable for me on trips. It is clear that this car does not meet my expectations for comfort and performance.
