Negative 2005 Ford Freestar car reviews

  1. Zackary Bosco 2025-01-03

I hope you're enjoying driving your minivan, even though it may not be the most fuel-efficient option out there. It has a smaller gas tank and tends to use more gas than other minivans, averaging around 300 miles per tank or 12.3 miles per gallon. It's a bit confusing why the advertised fuel efficiency is 17 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the freeway, but I hope you're still finding it to be a reliable and comfortable ride.

  2. Emerald Emard 2024-10-24

Hi there! We noticed that you have a junk car. How can we help you get rid of it?

  3. Percival Corkery 2024-09-20

Although the purchase was initially disappointing, it is important to note that the Ford dealer offered a good discount. However, the minivan turned out to be uncomfortable, particularly in the second and third rows where leg room is very poor. This can make long trips almost unbearable. In hindsight, it may have been better to consider the Sienna or Odyssey. It is clear that Ford needs to improve this car significantly.

  4. Rod Mayert 2024-08-09

I've been driving this minivan since January '05, and fortunately, it's a company vehicle, so I didn't have to purchase it myself. Unfortunately, it's been in the shop twice for engine knock and check engine light. Although the gas tank had to be replaced, the knock has improved, but it's still noticeable at highway speeds. It was in the shop for a total of 9 days. If this were my personal vehicle, I would be quite frustrated. I miss my Caravan!

  5. Kareem Hackett 2024-07-04

This van, while very safe feeling, handles more like a small truck.

Positive 2005 Ford Freestar car reviews

  1. Rickie Ratke 2024-10-23

With the marginal press reviews this van gets, discounts are plentiful. It's great to hear that you find it very quiet and comfortable, and that you haven't experienced any problems so far.

  2. David Ondricka 2024-10-16

The Freestar is an excellent value for your money. Its 3.9 engine performs well and offers good fuel mileage. The van's design provides great visibility and the controls and gauges are conveniently located. There is ample legroom for the driver and front passenger. Although the third seat is a bit cramped, this is a common issue with most minivans. When equipped, the van can tow up to 3,500 lbs., making it suitable for a small family boat or utility trailer. Overall, the Freestar is a great value in the minivan market.

FreeStar has stability beyond my expectations. The side airbags are a great added safety feature. The 4.2 engine provides excellent pickup on interstates and town streets. I had a Windstar before this, but the FreeStar is even better. My elderly mother can get in easily, and my dogs fit in perfectly. I love this van and would definitely buy it again.

I hope you're doing well! I wanted to share my experience with my new van. I've only had it for a couple of weeks, but my family and I are already loving it! The DVD system is a hit with the kids, and I'm enjoying the peace and quiet while driving. It's great to see that this van has something for everyone. The captain chairs in the second row are spacious and comfortable, giving the kids plenty of room to spread out. I'm also impressed with all the storage space, especially the deep space in the back. No more chasing groceries around! Overall, I feel like I made a smart purchase, especially with all the rebates and discount pricing. It's a great family vehicle that I would highly recommend!

Hi there! I was wondering if you could help me out. I've been having some trouble with my new Freestar. It seems to have a lot of rattles and makes quite a bit of noise when idling. I was just wondering if you knew of any ways to fix this issue? Our friends have a new Toyota van and it's so quiet you can hardly hear it running. I'm just hoping my van can be as quiet as theirs. I did take it back to the garage, but of course, it didn't act up then. Have you had any similar experiences?
