ENGINE PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2022-09-21
- Number Of Injuries: 3
- Crash: 1
- VIN: 3FADP4EJ8HM
- Components: ENGINE
- Summary: I was involved in a MINOR motor vehicle accident. 9/21/2022 during the accident my 2017 ford fiesta suffered considerable damage(which I was ticketed for, they said wreckless driving.. I wasn't speeding and I have police reports to back this up). The car did its job and no one was substantially hurt. When I got a chance to look at the car further I noticed the passenger side motor mount(plate not the entire mount) exploded during the crash and allowed the engine to be pushed back. On that side. After retrieving the pieces that remained, there was a clear issue with the part previously mentioned. There is obvious gas porosity in the cast aluminum part. The car has since been brought back to running and driving condition. My over all concern is people potentially being charged criminally over what could be a manufacturing flaw. If the mount plate had held the damage my car received would have been considerably less. I'd like to also note I stopped at my local ford service center to inquire about this aswell. And he recommended I get in contact with ford(manufacturing) I tried by phone and that's almost impossible. I've attached photos for reference

I really enjoy driving this car, although I do have one complaint. Unfortunately, the car is no longer being produced. As a 6'1, 235lb, 55-year-old man, I wasn't sure if this car would be the right fit for me, but after looking at all the other options, I decided to give it a try. The 1.6L automatic SE is great, and I'm sure the next generation transmission will be even better. I must say, cars from the sixties and seventies were a different story, and this car has nothing to complain about. I only wish I had gotten a higher trim level. I will definitely take good care of it with regular maintenance. 😃

I love my 2016 Fiesta! It may not look fancy, but it rides like a dream and can reach 80 MPH in no time. The car has excellent traction control and I'm always impressed by the mileage it gets when driving under 70 MPH on the interstate. The ride is comfortable and the FM stereo is pretty good too. As a long-time VOLVO owner, I was initially skeptical about this little car, but so far I've only had to change the oil and it runs great.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with the SE hatchback with the 1.0 3 cylinder ecoboost engine (SFE package). I find it to be a pleasure to drive - it has acceptable power and is fuel efficient to boot. While it may not win any races, it's definitely not boring either. The manual transmission that comes standard is a plus for me - the clutch is light and the shifts are solid (although it's only a 5 speed and has no reverse lockout). In terms of fuel economy, I'm averaging between 33-38 mpg, which translates to 375-425 miles on one tank (12 gallons) depending on the season. However, be careful as it's easy to go fast in this car because it drives so well. You can definitely tell this car came from Europe - the handling is surprisingly good and the car feels solid going down the road. My biggest gripe with the handling is the cheap economy Hankook tires this car comes standard with - they're fine in the dry but have poor grip when wet or snowy. I recommend upgrading your tires to get the most out of this car. The interior fit and finish is very good and doesn't feel terribly cheap like most American car interiors. Visibility is outstanding - I LOVE the large windshield and the airy feeling it gives you. The stock audio system is decent, but the base Sync screen is too small and recessed for my taste. I find it annoying having to rely on voice commands to change the audio source because it's otherwise buried in the settings if you do it manually. Sync reliability and functionality hasn't been great with my car and there is no update, but when it does work, it works OK. Interior cargo space isn't anything to brag about and the rear seats don't fold down flat, but apart from that, you can get a fair amount of stuff in the back nonetheless. The rear seats are best meant for small kids and only two of them at most, so this isn't a family car by any means. However, the seats are fairly comfortable for all passengers that do fit inside. Overall, I've had a positive experience with this car and haven't had any major issues to report. Thanks for reading! So far, I've had to replace a few parts on my Fiesta, but despite that, it's still running strong at 53,000 miles. Although I've had some issues with the Sync voice commands, overall I'm satisfied with my choice. I picked the Fiesta because it's a driver's car that gives me more smiles per gallon, even though the Honda Fit has better cargo room. It will serve me well until it's time to say goodbye.

I bought this car as CPO. It's a little beauty that goes fast and smooth, and you don't even feel the ride. Just give it your command and you'll feel the excitement and real enjoyment. My husband has a Ford Taurus, and now he takes the car from me to work without telling me. He loves the car, and I'm sure many others out there can relate to the same scenario. So keep running, my friend!

So far, I really like the car. Although I have not received the $300 discount they promised, they have assured me that the payment is on its way. I am still waiting for confirmation, but I am hopeful.

The front seat doesn't slide back far enough for someone 6 feet or taller. However, the engine runs smoothly and is adequate for most needs. Although, it can bog down when the AC is on high in the heat of summer. The handling is crisp and the ride is good, but the brakes could be stronger, especially since there are drums in the back. The fuel mileage is pretty much as rated. The dual clutch transmission is okay, and Ford has worked out most of the kinks. However, it can still stumble at times. In my opinion, a torque converter automatic would be the best choice, even if it extracts a small penalty in gas mileage.

If you're considering purchasing one, I would recommend getting a pack of earbuds! After Hurricane Harvey, our insurance company offered us a rental car from Hertz. While I'm grateful for the assistance, I'm not a fan of this particular car. The noise on the highway is quite loud and can be unbearable. Personally, I wouldn't even accept this car for free. However, I will say that the mpg is impressive at 35.6! :)
Jameson Stanton 2024-02-28
At first, I was happy with my car, but now I'm not so sure. There are a few issues such as a buzzing noise behind the driver's seat, a clicking clutch, and a smaller inside mirror on the driver's side compared to the passenger's side. Additionally, the Recaro passenger seat rubs against the center console, which seems to be off-center. I've reached out to five Ford dealerships to get these issues fixed under warranty, but most of them want to keep my car for two days without providing a loaner car. It's frustrating to not have a car while it's being repaired. I understand that these are fit and finish problems, and I hope to update this review once my car is fixed under warranty.
