Your 1995 E 150 Econoline van sounds amazing! It had 4 captains chairs with a 3rd row seat that could fold into a comfortable queen-size bed. The 5.8L V8 with a heavy-duty transmission allowed you to pull a 23-foot camper without any issues. It's understandable that you and your wife regret trading it in. The kids had their own seats, and you even bought a TV to watch movies between your seats. It's great to hear that your van was the envy of other families at the drive-in. Thank you for sharing your wonderful memories with us!

This vehicle is great and fun to drive. The interior is comfortable and you hardly know that you're moving.

A friend of mine had the same van and he really liked it. He sold it to his mechanic with 250,000 miles on it. I started looking for one and bought mine on eBay in '01 with 72,000 miles. As of 3-04, I have put 203,000 miles on it and it still runs strong. I added a Flowmaster exhaust with a K&N air filter and my gas mileage averages about 17 on the highway at 80 mph. Around town, it's about 14. I have had to replace the radiator and water pump, but I still have the same battery. The motor is great and the transmission is solid. I have a class III tow hitch and the van pulls great. This is one tough, durable, and reliable van. I would definitely buy another one.

Although you haven't been using it as frequently over the past year and three months, it's good to know that it still runs perfectly and looks great. Your vehicle is very smooth on the highway and quiet, with no wind noise. The 35-gallon fuel tank provides a long time between stations. It has also withstood salted roads when driven up north. As it is a tank, a big engine is needed to pull a trailer. I have a 351 in mine and it works well.

The engine was replaced with a rebuilt one at around 3,500 miles. Shortly after purchasing, a whine in the rear end or transmission developed, which unfortunately no one at Kayser was able to fix. The radiator had to be replaced at around 34,000 miles. Additionally, a leak in the main bearing seal and a leak in the secondary heater developed just over 48,000 miles. It's worth noting that the body of my 1987 van started to rust before reaching 50,000 miles, despite having been undercoated via Kayser Ford.

This van is excellent and has proven to be very reliable, with no major failures and only a few minor ones after 107,000 miles. However, the quality of the conversion package was not great (Imperial). It has a gas mileage of 12-14mpg due to the 5.7L engine with towing package. Overall, it's a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable van.

Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the customization package overloads the chassis, causing these problems. As a result, I have decided not to purchase a Ford vehicle again.
